Marina View

Building work was taking place on the blocks so there was a lot of scaffolding up, although this did not affect our view of the harbour and port and we went out everyday, but it was quite noisy, with a few early starts!

Apartment was very clean, tidy and well decorated and ideally placed in Cowes, close to shops, pubs and restaurants and a good bus service. An easy walk to nearby Osborne House.

We were not informed that very noisy building works would be taking place during the day from 8.

30 AM, which caused significant disruption throughout our stay. The level of noise was much higher than expected, and this had a noticeable impact on our experience of the property.

The apartment was clean, well presented, and well equipped.

It is conveniently located, for Cowes itself and for driving from Cowes to other locations. It is perhaps a bit of a stretch to suggest a view of the marina from the ground floor, but there was a good view of Red Funnel Ferries! We were informed of work being done to the outside of the apartment complex just a short time before the start date of the holiday, though it is clear the work had been planned well ahead of that. Such short notice did not give us an opportunity to reconsider the booking. The work was disturbing in several ways. Firstly, simply, it was very much a building site, which detracted from the ambience. The contractors were using a vehicle outside the window that beeped whenever it reversed, which was a lot of the time. They also commenced work before 8.30. I don’t getup before 8.30 when I’m at home. The contractors seemed to have floodlit overnight the place where they kept their supplies, presumably for security reasons. Unfortunately, even the combination of venetian and roman blinds was insufficient to keep the light out of bedrooms. We did notice that another company offering holiday lets in the same block (Wight Waterfront Holidays) were giving a 30% discount for the week we were there, but we were not offered the same. I also felt very unsafe in the en suite shower as there was no slip mat.

The flat was situated by the marina which was great.

It was extremely comfortable and clean, we really enjoyed our stay there and would go again. One thing to mention though, which is that the cladding is being replaced so there is scaffolding up and the work is ongoing. It didn’t trouble us or our view though. Lovely accommodation and one of the best we have stayed in via Sykes.

A beautiful apartment in a very convenient location

We were not informed about the garden maintenance work to be carried out that week that had been pre-planned by the apartment block due to the cladding being condemned as it does not adhere to safety regulations they were having to clear the area before scaffolding and netting going up the week after.

We were informed of this by a resident on our departure. We had chain saw and wood shredder noise throughout our stay. One morning the chainsaw started outside the bedroom at 8.45. Had we had known this we would not have booked the property.

The apartment was excellent and in a great location.

It was a short walk to the town. The of road parking made packing and unpacking very easy. There was no noise from the other apartments just the sound of the boats coming and going all very peaceful

A lovely apartment with easy access to the rest of the island.

Excellent, high quality accommodation, with a fantastic location.

Two issues to note. 1. Very few teaspoons 2. We could not find any additional black sacks or, clear plastic sacks for recycling We enjoyed our stay very much.

Well equipped, clean and comfy. Good location for shops and cafes and food at local pub was delicious.

My partner and I loved and would recommend this wonderful, bright contemporary property, which was good value with great views of Cowes marina.

It felt very safe and secure, with every small detail thought of. It really helped to make a family funeral feel a bit easier and was handy to have a room and bathroom each. Only issue that I know you're already aware of, is that the ensuite toilet flush is very stiff and impossible to press completely. I needed toilet after travelling, (before having a chance to read the property book) - advising that "pushing both the short/long flush buttons simultaneously, worked." To avoid risk of blockage and inconvenience to you having to be called out to fix, maybe a small printed card on wall above toilet advising this would be helpful ?
