This property is outstanding.
The location was perfect for us. Right in the heart of Fordingbridge and all its services yet also close to the forest! There was some traffic noise during the ‘rush hour’ but it didn’t affect us at all and it was still peaceful in the garden spotting the kingfisher and feeding the eager ducks. There was also a hedgehog that frequented the garden. The accommodation was perfect. A well stocked kitchen, cosy lounge, large dining space and large bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom were new. The games room was a bonus for cosy family evening fun. The house manager was more than attentive and answered queries promptly. The host even came to the accommodation when we had a heating issue- resolved quickly. We visited a number of places during our two weeks stay the highlights being Lymington, New Forest Wildlife Park and guaranteed deer spotting in the heath adjacent to Hyde Cricket Club. Will definitely return!
We had a lovely relaxing stay at Riverside House and the convenience of being in Fordingbridge with close access to shops was a bonus.
The house was well equipped and quirky. Only thought for future is possibly an addition set of keys for the gate and back door as when our plans changed unexpectedly one day the lack of spare set meant one car was shut in and access back to house was not possible as we had keys elsewhere! Thank you to Hayley for allowing us a later entry on first evening.
Fantastic house, lovely layout amazing antique furniture.
Lovely courtyard with koi pond and beautiful river views. Garden whilst lovely needs serious prune, nettles and brambles everywhere. Outside furniture needs maintenance. Fantastic to sit by the river eating breakfast. Highly recommended will definitely book again.
