Completing the ground-floor is a well-presented shower room with support rails, ideal for those with limited mobility.
Retreat to the first-floor, where you can grab your favourite book and indulge in a hot soak in the beautiful roll-top bath, before popping on your pyjamas and catching your rest in one of the four bedrooms, including three doubles and a family room, each with splendid views, but not before enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the dark skies in the New Forest.
Wake up with a refreshing shower, followed by an alfresco breakfast with your guests on the patio, which overlooks the owner’s paddocks where deer frequent the boundary.
Venture to the nearby town of Ringwood which rests along the stunning River Avon; the town boasts a rich history and continues to hold a regular weekly market, as it has done since the Middle Ages, where you can meet the locals and treat yourself to a souvenir.
Delve into the town’s history further at the Ringwood Meeting House & History Centre, which hosts exhibitions and occasionally a craft fair, a great way to learn more about your local surroundings.
Be sure to make a stop at Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre, where you can look forward to meeting a small selection of wildlife and the superb and informative shows they host.
Pack up the car, not forgetting your swimming trunks, buckets and spades, for a fun-filled family day in the coastal town of Bournemouth.
Here you can soak up the sun on the glorious sands, enjoy beachcombing the shores or treat your guests to some fresh fish and chips as you take in the stunning scenery.
Head to Bournemouth's bustling Victorian pier, where you will find an amusement arcade, a theatre, an indoor rock-climbing centre, and boat rides which will take you along the coast.
Just off the pier is the splendid Oceanarium, where you can visit the local marine life in an underwater tunnel and enjoy feeling sessions.
If you don’t fancy a day at the beach, head to the medieval city of Salisbury, with its impressive 13th-century cathedral and 14th-century clock, your inner historian won’t be able to resist!

What guests are saying
We had a wonderful stay at Brook Farm.
The house is spacious, authentic and has loads of character. It is being lovingly cared for by its owner, as is evident from the pretty old pieces of furniture in every single room (including the beautiful old bath tub), the comfortable couches with soft throws on them, and the plants, accent rugs, cushions and small paintings everywhere. On top of that, the house has a beautiful garden with heavenly chairs, a barbecue and a hot tub with a view. The property is beautifully situated with pastures and hills on the one side and moors and forest on the other. At the same time it is conveniently close to Ringwood for some grocery shopping or a nice cup of coffee and a book on the village square. If you want to see wild ponies, just step outside the gate or walk down the road, depending on where they've decided to graze that day. Our kids (6 and 9) adored the place just as much as we did. We all want to come back again very soon!
We really liked this property.
It’s in a great location, and the path at the back of the house leads straight to some lovely walks (cricket pitch at the very top is well worth a walk up to), with horses everywhere, which made it feel unique. The house is full of character. The décor and maintenance are a little eclectic, and we had some initial reservations when we arrived, but it quickly grew on us. By the end of the week, we’d completely fallen for its charm and quirky personality. The garden is also a lovely place to relax and unwind after a day out exploring. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
A lovely place to meet up with family and friends - the hot tub is a great addition to the holiday.
