What guests are saying
Fantastic location in the heart of Lymington.
The parking permit for local carparks was a real bonus, with no on site parking. The bread & milk was a nice touch. First cottage we have stayed in where there were no instructions for anything. The stairs are steep to both floors which would be a consideration for those with limited mobility. Being over 6 foot, I banged my head everywhere, daily. Overall we had a great stay at the cottage.
The cottage was lovely, comfortable, and well-decorated.
There was also everything you needed inside including a little welcome package of biscuits, bread, jam, butter etc., which was really great. It was in a fab position to walk easily into town meaning you didn't have to keep relying on the car. The parking clock was a major bonus as not only did it work in the adjacent car park to the cottage, but as we discovered when we did venture out, it also worked in all the council car parks. I would like to ask for a couple of things to be included for safety reasons. At the top of the stairs, on the left hand side when facing downwards, a small grab rail would be very helpful especially stepping from a white painted floor onto white stairs, as you have to get 2-3 steps down before being able to hold the metal pole. In the bathroom, a rail on the side wall at the rear end of the bath, to aid getting in and out, and an anti-slip bath mat.
A lovely, well equipped and comfortable property.
The food provisions were welcome. An easily accessible information/welcome pack would be useful. The garden is overgrown and needs tidying up so did not sit outside at all, which would have been nice as the weather was kind.
