1 Welford Barns

The accommodation was comfortable with everything we could need.

It was good to have an oven as well as the hob. The option of being able to charge our car was an added bonus. Just a little bit further( travelling time) from the coast than I thought.

Great accommodation, clean and welcoming and great location would definitely stay again and recommend

Nice studio, quite calm area.

The place was very clean but very basic.

There were no tea towels, no kitchen roll and no scissors on arrival. The fridge had no freezer compartment which would be very useful for putting ice cream and ice packs in especially in the heat we have been having. Also no rail on the fridge door for standing wine bottles up and milk cartons. Could do with a shelf in the bathroom to put items on instead of having to put the toilet down each time to hold sponge bag etc. The decking is sticking up and very dangerous and when I mentioned it to the owner the reply was "Yes I know I THINK I might have to replace it instead of trying to do something temporary whilst we were there. I asked if I could put the dog mess in the only black bin I could find and again the reply was "If you want to" instead of telling me why the best place would be so I had to walk nearly half a mile each time to a litter bin. The pillows were made of some sort of plastic coating and had no support what so ever. Instructions for how to work the tv would also help as it was not easy to be able to change channels. Some people like us still have freeview and so find more up to date tv's difficult to understand.

The accommodation was good,but needs more outside area!

! insufficient for dog owners!! The inside area was very nice,but Air Con is going to be a must for the present temperatures!!parking area was a bit too far from the lodge!!we also found it impossible to speak with the owners,priar to arrival,and also Sykes Cottages will not answer the phone!!

Lovely accommodation in ideal location to get out and explore the New Forest Our week was extremely hot and we missed having a small freezer compartment to put ice and ice cream in The pillows made it difficult to sleep as they have a kind of plastic coating which made us very sweaty and they crunch every time you move

We had a brilliant stay at Welford Barns.

The area is very nice and accessible. The owner's are very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend to anyone to visit The New Forest.

We love the location of Welford Barns within easy walking distance of Fordingbridge and local bus stops for easy access to Salisbury, Ringwood and Bournemouth.

The accommodation is very comfortable and well appointed. A slight criticism is that there was no information on recycling as different areas vary so much. We used the formula for our local area which may not be the same as Hampshire! Overall would recommend.

Excellent facilities,very clean,just a few things missing like kitchen roll,tin opener apart these few things I would recommend stopping at welford barns

Great location, walking distance to Fordingbridge and easy access to the forest.

Property had everything we needed for our stay and a good layout making good use of the space. Felt very private and secure if accompanied by your dog. Only downside was the mattress wasn't very comfortable, as there were areas where some of the springs had gone; would recommend a mattress topper or replacement of the mattress. Kitchen scissors and a caffetiere would enhance an otherwise well equipped kitchen. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

The property was in a good position for visiting the New Forest.

It had a comfortable and warm living area. There was plenty of hot water in the kitchen and shower. Unfortunately, the bed needed new mattresses (linked super king) and pillows. Just a thought - a shelf in the shower room for toiletries would have been appreciated. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay.

Good location for site seeing the new forest and surrounding area.

The barn was a nice size for two and well maintained.

Lovely to have parking off-road and a little decking area to sit in. Ideal location for the New Forest, the George by the river is nice and a lovely little museum nearby. Would recommend the 3 Lions as well.

A great place to stay , luckily we had a heat wave so having good weather helped .

The owners loaned us a cooling fan , much appreciated thankyou . We really enjoyed our stay and would use this place as a base again . The only down side is you get a lot of road noise but that didn’t disturb our sleep , would highly recommend a stay here . Also a lovely comfy bed too

We enjoyed our break at welford barns would have been nice to just have some net curtain at the window for extra privacy but it wasn’t a major issue.

Lovely location quite central for your needs .Very clean with all the amenities at hand needed for a short enjoyable break. Would love to visit again in the near future.

A nice modern barn conversion, with a small enclosed decked yard to keep your dog safe, and to allow a private area for sun bathing.

Has a comfortable lounge area for when the day is done and you just want to lay back and watch tv. Has a modern shower room and toilet, all clean and hygienic. Car parking is nicely positioned only feet from the back door. One of the best positioned let’s I’ve used only a short walk from the centre of the town.

Had a wonderful stay at 1 Welford.

Owners were extremely polite and helpful. The accommodation itself is a fantastic place to stay if you plan on exploring the new forest and ideal if you plan on bringing your dog along with you. Safe, secure and perfectly positioned near the town and the wonderful open areas of the park.

Our stay was enjoyable, very clean and comfortable.

We would have appreciated a welcome pack to make a drink, after an 8 hour journey, instead of having to go out to buy milk. There was no cleaning equipment ie. mop/bucket, dust pan/brush, or vacumn, although products were there, no cloths were provided. No provision to dry clothes. They need an outdoor store to store cleaning equipment. Richard was very friendly, but Joanne only spoke once to tell me the patio was slippy when wet, no other conversation took place.

This is a clean and stylish place, perfect for a couple and a well behaved dog.

Comfortable and warm with an efficient shower. Perfect for walking with lots of options for eating out and take aways. Very close to the National Park for those all important donkey, pony and deer sightings.

Very welcoming, gorgeous property, lovely location, and we couldn’t believe how friendly everyone was in Fordingbridge, where we experienced great shops and an amazing riverside pub within a few minutes walk.

We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely few days away, thank you so much!

Lovely area very handy for the town and the bus stops travelled to Bournemouth and Salisbury on the bus for free.

Cottage was excellent could find no problems but could have done with a collander in the kitchen but that was just a small thing The cakes left for when we arrived were lovely and we really enjoyed our stay

host of issues, and poor communication from owner and Sykes made this stay stressful at times

Very clean and warm. Excellent communication with owners. Would highly recommend.

A few niggles : no frying pan, no tea towel, no oven gloves, nowhere to put things in the shower cubicle e.

g soap dish, shower caddy. Have spoken to the owners who apologised and a frying pan and tea towels arrived and were assured that the other things would be addressed. Otherwise a lovely clean and comfortable property, will certainly return.

The barn is very comfortable and a lot of thought has obviously gone into making guests welcome.

We have just one suggestion to improve things still further: it would have been great to have a quick instruction sheet for the oven, hob, and heating, as we had to figure these out for ourselves, which took a little while. Otherwise all good.
