"Nelson’s View was located centrally and was a great base for exploring the island."
I would usually go for something more modern but we loved the quirkiness of the furnishings and it was a lovely space to stay in. Beds were comfortable and shower great. Would stay here again… Karen the host gets a 10 out of 10 as she was really helpful during our stay and couldn’t have done more for us.
Thankyou Lynne, It was a pleasure to welcome you to our home. Karen x Property Owner

"Great location but not as clean as I would have expected, cutlery and dishes were greasy."
Entrance hall and lighting very dim and unwelcoming. Biggest concern was the faulty boiler which came up with a serious fault code. We didn’t expect to be told to leave if off for a while and restart it. Obviously faulty for a while as on the property information sheet. Meanwhile no hot water. Previous properties rented through yourselves have been spot on.
The boiler is booked for replacement within the next few weeks, and the fault is not dangerous but could not be repaired on the spot. When I sent someone to check it, it restarted immediately. With regards to the crockery and cutlery.........unfortunately this was a really quick turnaround between guests and it was not possible to rewash everything from the cupboards. The previous guests had created an awful lot of additional cleaning during their stay. The communal areas are not unfortunately within my control though hopefully when redecorated this will improve. I am very sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. However I would dispute your ratings, for example site description not being accurate as all other guests have rated this aspect (and in fact most others as 4-5 stars) Property Owner

"Really thoughtful host"
Thank you so much for your superb review. It is a shame that the weather was not better for your visit, but I hope you found things to keep you amused. Karen Property Owner

"Great apartment, near the Ryde ferry and therefore near the beach."
The apartment was clean and comfortable. We had an issue that was resolved with good communication with the owner thus 4 stars as opposed to 5 stars. Ryde, as with the rest of the island, is hilly so probably not great for people with mobility issues. The apartment has an eccentric decor but is comfortable. We took the bus for an island tour which was fun, visited Carisbrooke castle, Osbourne House and, of course, the Donkey Sanctuary. All this was achieved using the buses.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was extremely unfortunate that the magna clean filter sprung a leak and shut down the boiler just as you arrived. I do hope that it did not spoil your enjoyment too much. Karen Property Owner

"Loved this place, owner helped with the parking permit for the street parking."
Only thing that would be helpful as the weather was warm it was little hot inside so having fan’s available would have been nice.
Thankyou for leaving your lovely review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your visit. Just to let you know, I have now purchased a fan as the weather has continued to be good. Who would have thought that the weather would be so good for the Isle of Wight Festival? Karen x Property Owner
