What guests are saying
A very cute and cosy cottage near Hereford.
A short walk (torch needed for the walk in the dark) to the local pub for the carvery was great. Not appropriate if you have mobility issues as the stairs to the bedroom on the mezzanine would be difficult and the bathroom is downstairs. We loved the location which was near to several towns and places of interest. The bed is comfy and shower good. Please note you need to take your own kitchen items such as washing up liquid, tea towel, bin bags and loo roll (only one of each of the 2 latter). However all kitchen utensils are there when cooking for yourself. Heating is controlled by the main house and came on at 6pm for the evening but you do have a gas log fire which was great and needed as we felt cold this week. All in all a lovely little cottage and would recommend.
we found the property to be spotlessly clean and the welcome pack much appreciated.
The issue we had was that the cottage was very cold and our clothes and everything in there felt damp and cold.. It was usually warmer outside than in and as an older couple it felt uncomfortable. We had to keep jumpers on in the evening and morning as the heating rarely came on.. We had to use permanently damp towels as there was noway to dry them. We did enjoy the visit as the countryside around was beautiful but the owners may like to reconsider the temperature that they set the heating to come on or supply a heated towel rail.
Great location for visiting the area around Hereford.
Comfortable bed, fresh smelling linen and towels. Fiona and Mark are great hosts very helpful and full of tips of where or what to do. Got to mention the Key.... just like a Hobbit would have...
