3 The Stables

We very much enjoyed our stay at 3 The Stables in the IofW.

It is a very attractive property, very well maintained, and has a very nice garden/patio area overlooking a lovely green field where some sheep and horses sometimes graze. The property is about 10 mins in the car from the Fishbourne Ferry Terminal and all the attractions of the IofW are within easy reach. We can highly recommend for a great holiday.

Everything you could want was there except a ramp at the door leading to the garden apart from that it was great for someone who has to use a wheelchair/ rollator The property is in a lovely place.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks holiday at 3 The Stables this May, our second holiday the property.

The property is extremely clean, well furnished and catered for all our needs, the views from the property are amazing and the hosts Helen and Paul are extremely friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to go back in future years to stay at this lovely property and explore more of the beautiful Isle of Wight. We have recommended 3 The Stables to all our family and friends and look forward to staying again in the near future.

Lovely place, set in the countryside with fantastic views.

It had everything we needed and we had a fantastic holiday.

Property in a fabulous location, clean and quiet. Stunning views and great facilities. Ideal for anyone with accessibility needs. For example, with wet room and is all on one level with lots of space to manoeuvre! Car parking has plenty room too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Hosts wonderful! Isle of Wight has so much to see and do; this location has great walks down the road!

This property and the other two in the same location were rented for a family get together and we were all very pleased with the accommodation.

The owner was helpful and very pleasant and keeps the stables accommodation in good condition. We would certainly recommend these properties and would use them again. It is a beautiful location.

This was a lovely place to stay we were fortunate that number 3 had amazing views to the back with horses in the field.

The property was well maintained and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Amazing owmers who have thought of everyone from fully able bodied to wheelchair bound. There is something for everyone here. Having books to read and books of local attractions down to having Netflix if your wanting an evening in. The accommodation wasn't just well presented and lovely it was immaculately lean and had additional touches such as milk in the fridge for arrival, tea, coffee sascets. The kitchen is stocked with all utensils you'd need need should you want to cook. We loved having the freezer for Icream and ice cubes given how hot its been. We can't reccomend The Stables enough to anyone and will be back for sure. Being animal lovers seeing the owners horses at the end of the garden for 3 The Stables was amazing. We loved the little garden are with patio furniture and enjoyed a glass or two of wine out there. Also very well located to the beaches, shops and things to do. We were never in the car for more than half hour. The only down side to our holiday here was we had to come home lol.

We had a lovely break at The Stables.

Helen & Paul were so kind in ensuring our stay was just perfect. Location, not far from the ferry, is excellent for trips to anywhere but also the ideal spot to just sit and relax in the garden with the views across the valley. Anyone with accessibility needs can confidently book this cottage. A real find.

The views across the fields were peaceful and relaxing and the bed was firm and comfortable. All the facilities we needed were there too. Lovely place and friendly owners with good recommendations.

Everything top notch. The view is spectacular and if you are looking for a holiday to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet this is for you. Enjoyed watching the ponies and sheep etc and we were very lucky with the wonderful weather. Shall be returning for Christmas. Helen could not do enough for us so thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely property and the owners Paul and Helen were so helpful, informative and accommodating.

Located inland but not too far from Ryde we found it an ideal place for touring the island. Highly recommended.

A lovely comfortable cottage with everything you need.

Helen the owner made us feel very welcome.Helen booked the ferry across for us and everything went smoothly. The journey from the ferry is about 20 minutes. The views from the cottage are wonderful .Helens small herd of sheep would often come to the fence to say hello. Travel around the island is easy,with many lovely places to see.

Lovely location fabulous views very quiet and relaxing location, accommodation bed was comfortable and well equipped Enjoyed watching the sheep in the fields and seeing the two orphan lambs being fed

Suffice to say, we loved the property and its location; we have already booked to stay again!

We have stayed in many Sykes holiday lets over the years and this one is definitely the best yet.

A very comfortable property, with wonderful views over the countryside.

The accommodation was very welcoming & lots of thought had gone into making it suitable for all needs. The owner did ask for an opinion regarding seating in the lounge area & is aware of the need to replace the chair in the near future. Every thing else was thoughtfully provided & I would have no hesitation In recommending the property to anyone. We hope to return soon.

We had a fantastic stay at 3 the stables the view from the property was amazing the only comment on the property was that the settee and arm chairs need replacing apart from that the place was beautifully clean and well kept I would recommend it to anyone and I would return there for another visit.

We really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was very comfortable and the out look from the living room and bedroom was extremely picturesque. Helen and Paul were excellent hosts. I’m disabled and the went the extra mile providing a shower stool and a few other things I needed. We loved the island too. Lots of lovely places to visit. Many thanks to Helen and Paul for making our holiday a very memorable one.

3 The Stables is an amazing holiday cottage which is really comfortable and had everything we needed.

Helen and Paul were extremely welcoming and accomodating and so helpful with everything we needed. The views from the cottage are amazing and the garden is lovely. We really enjoyed our cottage and the view from the lounge! We found the owners very helpful and obliging! Perfect spot to enable travel to all parts of the island too! We would definitely return!

What a great place to stay.

It suited my needs perfectly and was a fantastic base to explore the island!

This is a lovely cottage with a fantastic view.

The inside is spacious for one-bedroom accommodation and it was beautifully decorated and clean inside. As a full-time wheelchair user I managed really well inside as the doors are wide and it has a lovely wet room, however I feel I should point out the cottage is accessible but not adapted for a wheelchair user. The kitchen cupboards, sink and wardrobes are high. We were also surprised to find there is a high step down onto the patio/garden area as this looks to have level access on the website. However, the owner did offer us a ramp which would have helped us but the patio door also had a high lip so would not be practical for an electric wheelchair user even with a ramp for the step. These are all minor issues however and there are lots of plus points to this lovely property. We would go again.

3 The Stables went way beyond 5*!

!!!! We enjoyed fantastic views, some pretty good Speedway (at Smallbrook Stadium), many a great drive, crab sarnies and sight seeing packed into our 5 days on the Island. Hope to be back next year for much of the same! Many thanks to the owner!

I'm a left leg amputee and had no issues with my stay at 3the Stables.

I was supplied with a shower stood to aid me in that area. Couldn't fault our stay would highly recommend stay

We were so lucky to book 3 The Stables.

Helen and Paul have produced a well laid out, stylish and comfortable cottage suitable for the disabled and a able alike. Welcomed with a welcome pack, splendid views and immaculately clean accommodation, and also a brief tour and “induction” by Paul. The Stables are located about 15 minutes drive from Fishbourne ferry terminal and Helen had arranged a stupendous ferry discount for us. Access is easy to all the Island especially Ryde and Newport. We had a truly memorable week.

A very comfortable place to stay.

As I would say short of nothing but if you needed something Helen would get it for you. We will most certainly go back. The horses and foals and then the sheep kept us entertained . First topic of conversation every morning was exactly what every animal was doing and where they were. The view was endless from the lounge and the stars were clearer than we have ever seen them. Just perfect.

The property was lovely and clean and the owners were very helpful and friendly as had a couple of problems with the tv to start with the wet room was not very good I asked for a stool which was going to come from storage it never turned up the wet room is back to front the shower area should have been where the toilet was and vice verser as you have to walk though water after you’ve dried yourself and you had to keep turning the shower off while you washed yourselves as the water goes into the bedroom I suggest that the owners shower in it so they can see what we mean we used to own a guest house and if we had any work done on any of the rooms we would try them out before any guest stayed in them to make sure everything was fine, the bed was much to hard as were the pillows we recommend anti allergy memory foam pillows, we had plenty of crockery and cutlery except for tea spoons there could be another couple or three in the draw as we kept having to wash spoons up but other then that we found the views really good

The owner is very helpful providing for your disability needs.

This was a great place to stay for a short late autumn break.

We particularly appreciated the spacious layout of the bedroom (it being suitable for a wheelchair user). We are not wheelchair uses ourselves but welcomed the space, and ability to pack cases away. Too many cottage bedrooms are too tight for comfort. We were also glad of the well-stocked pack of domestic accessories, and enjoyed the opportunity to photograph the sunrise from our bedroom.

The cottage was clean, well equipped, and with plenty of storage space. Also perfect for anyone with limited mobility. Helen, the owner made us feel welcome and available to contact should we need to. We plan to return at a future date.

We had a lovely holiday.

Cottage was just as described. Owner was there to met us and was extremely helpful. Cleanliness was first class. Would return at a late date. The only negative was I phoned Sykes about booking the ferry and was told you don’t deal with that anymore. However I was not told that the owners could arrange the booking with a discount.

It was a short weekend break.

Just what we needed! Tranquil peaceful and absolutely beautiful. The cottage itself was spotless and all amenities were provided in line with the COVID 19 guidelines. All you need is GPS to get you anywhere you like. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely time. Will definitely be booking again to go with the whole family!

The cottage was superb.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend wholeheartedly The Stables. Helen was very welcoming and left us to our own devices. We will certainly consider returning next year but maybe a little earlier in the season as the weather was occasionally miserable. Perfect base for walkers.

Helen and Paul were the perfect hosts, always there when needed, very much in the background otherwise.

On arrival we found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, we did find a couple of that my wife needed, but when asked Helen delivered them to the door within five minutes. The caught the sun all day, making it a very pleasant place to sit, and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. We very quickly made friends with Helen's ponies, especially when they found that we had apples. To summarise we had a great stay in very pleasant surroundings. ,

Lovely, friendly hosts, there but non-intrusive.

Bed is so comfortable!! A great size unit, plenty of space. Very good quality of materials used throughout, my favourite being their internal barn style doors! Clever referencing of their former use as stables. Beautifully quiet, great vistas, love seeing the woolly sheep grazing outside:) Very quick and easy to visit other destinations...some very picturesque roads to travel on. Thoroughly recommend this delightful and carefully planned holiday home/s....food for the soul/spirit.

The general situation of the cottage is ideal if you want a quiet time and not far to drive to town, about 5 mins drive. The cottage was very spacious, with all the amenities that we would expect. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The cottage is set in a quiet rural area, with a small private back garden, with sun loungers, table and chairs, looking out onto open fields, and a beautiful panoramic view across the countryside. A superstore ten minutes drive away. Highly recommended.

3 the stables while we were in No.2, but again everything made for a perfect week.

The Stables is the perfect place for a Christmas get away.

Our holiday was very good from start to finish,our only complaint was the price of Wightlinks prices at £200 + seams very high also on our return trip was delayed with a fault with one of the ramps on board the ferry.

But the holiday on the I.O.W was most enjoyable

We had the most amazing 5 nights stay at 3 The Stables.

The cottage was extremely cosy and had all that we needed to enjoy a very comfortable stay. With stunning views to wake up to, plus having the lovely animals so close to our garden made it so special. Helen was so very helpful regarding anything we needed during our stay and was happy to to take time to have a friendly chat over the fence while she looked after the animals & the fields. It was a beaut iful location, Helen Wilks made us very welcome, the bungalow was very clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you needed.

All round comfort. My husband is wheelchair bound he could move around the property inside and out in his chair the wet room was perfect. We will recommend the holiday to others.

It was our first time on the Isle of Wight, we found the cottage superb, it was comfortable and very well equipped.

Helen and Paul were very welcoming, explaining everything to us and were happy to recommend places we might like but also showed an interest in where we had been. Nothing was too much trouble. The views were fantastic which made it a pleasure to sit on the patio at any time of day. We feel that this was one of the best holidays we have had. We hope to return.
