The owners have thought of everything with extras like tea coffee washing up liquid etc all there to use. Communication excellent with the owners- this is our 2nd time at this lovely cottage would 100% recommend it.

A very nice property very clean perfectly situated for travelling all over the island buses running every few minutes so no need to use a car would definitely recommend a stay we will be returning again in the future.

It’s very well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Very well located in Brading for local shop, pub and fish and chips, and a very short car journey down to Sandown and the lovely beaches. Would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous home from home, well stocked with everything you could need for a fuss free holiday.

Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quite location. Easy access to local attractions with a 10minutes drive (Sandown, Shanklin, Roman Villa) but the island itself can be driven across in just over an hour so you can literally visit anything and everything the Isle Of Wight has to offer from here. Looking forward to returning here again in the future.

The cottage is situated in a great part of the island with a good bus service close by.

We have stayed in this property a number of times and it is always clean and the added touch of milk, wine and fruit from the owners makes you feel very welcome. There is a pub within walking distance that serves lovely food all day - would definitely recommend that and the chip shop.

This is a perfect property for a small family.

Everything you need is nearby, a lovely pub, convenience store, and reliable public transport. The house itself is perfectly equipped, clean and well maintained.

The accommodation was very well presented and spotlessly clean.

All the equipment you could possibly want for self catering, can’t think of anything else we could have used. We had a pizza one night and jokingly wondered if there was a pizza wheel- not only is there a wheel but also a tray to bake it on, we don’t even have one of those at home! The welcome pack was much appreciated, and information was provided covering everything from where to shop and eat, rubbish collection and even how to work the hob. We made good use of the buses (we purchased a 7 day ticket), the bus stops are close to the house and buses are frequent. The only negatives were (and this is being a little picky), we found the sofa a bit uncomfortable at times but we both suffer from bad backs and finding comfortable seating can be an issue for us, and the tv had a mind of its own but we soon learned how to handle it. We loved our stay at Old Post Office Mews and had a lovely holiday on the beautiful Isle of Wight

The owner has gone over and above what you would expect eg shower gel air freshener tea coffee sugar sauces and condiments and a lovely welcome basket

We loved it - quiet, comfortable, and a great location for exploring the island; the village has a shop and a pub, which were very handy.

The freezer compartment in the fridge was full of ice so we could only get one slim box in.

The fridge froze some of the food we put in it. Some of the pillows were latex and I am latex allergic luckily I check when I arrive at properties.

We loved the cottage.

Just the right size for two people. Think it would be rather tight on space and seating if there was a family staying ( 4 people). Had everything we needed so well equipped and milk, wine etc. was a nice thought on arrival. The only things we can suggest for improvement is a bigger bed in the front bedroom.It was a tight squeeze for us to sleep in the one bed, especially in hot weather, so my wife ended up in the twin bedded room. Also the bathroom and cloakroom fans were irritating in that they kept going for far longer then necessary. Maybe a timer issue? Also, perhaps a blind in the kitchen would be nice- so bright first thing in the morning and perhaps also a blind or curtain over the front door as couldn’t always see the TV with light streaming in the glazing. Excellent cottage especially for non car drivers, no more than a hundred yards to both sides bus stops.

Very quiet as Brading has little to offer but the Bugle pub is top class.

An excellent open plan cottage with everything having been thought of and provided.

Clean, spacious, and comfortable. Good location in the centre of Brading and with its own parking space [amazing in such a constricted area]. Somebody had written in the Visitors Book that it lacked a 'toast rack' - we tried to think of anything else that anybody might possibly need but couldn't! Even had milk, fruit, condiments, and wine as a welcoming pack! A convenience store is round the corner and The Bugle Inn a few hundred yards walk. [Shame the other restaurants in Brading have closed]. Would recommend 4 The Old Post Office Mews without hesitation.

A comfortable well maintained house which was perfect for the three of us.

Situated close to a shop and pub, both of which provided good service. The bus stops were nearby enabling us to use public transport throughout our stay. An enjoyable holiday.

Warm in cold weather. Generous and useful welcome pack. Brading is an ideal base for visiting different parts of the island. Its also on the bus and train routes. Although the Mews is near the main road through Brading, it was quiet. Great to have shops, pub restaurant and fish and chips close by and within walking distance. We would recommend it to others and may well go back in future.

Excellently equipped immaculately clean perfect for touring the island

The cottage is located in an ideal position for visiting the rest of the Island.

As it's set back from the main road there's not much traffic noise and there's a convenience store 30 seconds away and a chippy. The cottage is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. As I normally cook with gas I was concerned I wouldn't know how to operate the electric hob and oven but the owner went out of her way to provide me with instructions so all was well! The only negatives were the noise from the cold water taps and the slow drainage of water from the bathroom basin. Unlike some holiday lets, there were lots of instruction leaflets available to help the less technical (like us) plus tips on where to eat and places to visit. All in all this is an excellent place to stay.

The cottage was everything we hoped for and more.

It was absolutely spotless . There was everything you could want supplied and the extras were a very nice touch. We are hoping to visit the I.O.W again and would have no hesitation in staying in the cottage again. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

It is a lovely accommodation, which was clean, well furnished and had everything you could possibly think of, to make your stay perfect. Arrival gifts were also a nice touch. We hope to go back again soon.

Old Post Office Mews was a perfect base for visiting the whole island, with convenient and frequent buses which connect with just about every route.

We loved the pretty village of Brading and almost everything about the house was great, except one thing, but that one thing negatively affected our enjoyment of our stay. We are older and somewhat rotund people who like to sleep together; unfortunately the double bed is only a simple one and much too narrow for us. It's undoubtedly fine for younger and slimmer people, but every night at some point my husband would fall out of bed trying to turn over, and would go off to sleep in the spare room, where the single beds are fitted with crinkly, loud guard sheets against incontinent children. Sigh! I slept like a baby, personally!

This was our third visit to this lovely holiday home.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Post Office Mews.

The house was very clean, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped. Brading is a very convenient place from which to explore the island and we really recommend visiting the nearby Roman villa. We would happily book another stay. We did struggle with using the hob, however, and note that we aren't the first to do so. Perhaps some hand written instructions to accompany the printed ones could be provided? We did get it to work each night but were never quite sure what we had done to achieve it.

This is super cottage that deserves recognition and recommendation.

Very clean, fully equipt, well located and the perfect size for a family of 4. Susan is also an excellent host/owner who was very supportive and all her instructions were clear. Book it before others do!

The property was clean, comfortable and tidy.

It had everything you could need for a lovely stay. The cottage is conveniently situated for exploring the island by car and having the bus stop nearby is handy as well.

We have been here a few times now and as usual the standards were high.

We love it here because it is quiet ,but with buses running every 15 minutes it's very easy to get around.We also love the provisions that the owner leaves for you.A lovely place to stay.

We have been here before and are coming again in February.

It is a lovely place to stay in a quiet little mews(a little bit of traffic noise but doesn't bother you much ).Bus stops round the corner every 15 mind ( we don't drive ).The cottage is spotless and well maintained and we love it.There is only one thing I would change and that is a nice armchair in the lounge rather than a rattan garden chair it would be perfect then. We enjoyed our stay as are looking forward to the next time.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage well presented and selflessly clean.

The owners provided lots of little extras,a bowl of fruit,bottle of wine,milk egg and was much appreciated.It could only be made perfect by having a proper armchair in the lounge and not a rattan chair which was not very comfortable .On the whole a lovely cottage and a lovely place to stay,frequent buses for those,like us who don't drive.We have already booked to go again in October.Many ,many thanks Mr and Mrs Houseden.

We had an excellent holiday at 4 Old Post Office Mews.

The owner was extremely helpful and contacted us prior to our stay with useful information. There was milk, fruit, biscuits and wine left for us which was very much appreciated. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything one could have wished for to enjoy a pleasant and comfortable holiday. We had a delicious Sunday Roast at the Hungry Bear in Brading and enjoyed several suppers from "The Brothers" Fish & Chip shop which is less than a minutes walk from the cottage and had a good selection of reasonably priced take-away food. We travelled to the IOW as foot passengers on the Wightlink Catamaran from Portsmouth Harbour station to Ryde. Bus Nos. 2 & 3 from Ryde pass through Brading every 15 mins and stop round the corner from the cottage (you alight at Brading Bullring bus stop) so getting out and about wasn't a problem, you don't necessarily need a car as the buses run until late evening. Brading also has a train station which we used when we visited the IOW Steam Railway as it has an easy interchange at Smallbrook Junction station. If one is looking for a central base to explore this beautiful island and maybe enjoy some of the scenic local walks, then 4 Old Post Office Mews is a delightful cosy cottage in a perfect location.

Spotlessly clean, extremely well maintained and very good location. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would certainly return. This was the first time of booking with Sykes and would certainly book through them again. Very efficient, communication was very good. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent stay very well equipped cottage and great communication with the owners the only reason I didn’t give 5 for comfort is I personally didn’t find the mattress terribly comfortable or the sofa, but they are very minor asides and it wouldn’t put me off going again or recommending the cottage.

Property was well situated, well maintained, very clean and facilities were good. The two TVs seemed to have a life of their own but apart from that everything worked fine. Would definitely revisit.

4 post Office Mews is a lovely well maintained property, little extras left for us were welcome.

. The position is great with chip shop less than a minute walk away, a great pup just a couple of minutes walk away. The facilities in the house are all good, maybe a pint glass would have been nice though. There is not really anything to moan about, we were nice and comfortable, and plan to return to this place in 2024

A delightful cottage in a fantastic location for exploring the Isle of Wight.

All facilities you need are provided with the lovely addition of baby/toddler equipment if needed. We really felt very looked after with the kind welcome of fruit, wine and milk. The cottage is very clean with a little courtyard which was bright and sunny and parking space right outside the front door. Would highly recommend and thank you for an excellent stay!

Cannot fault the cottage itself even though there was a plumbing issue which was promptly resolved by the owners we were just disappointed with Brading.

We were expecting local pubs which we could walk to and have a meal and drinks but the 2 remaining pubs in the village felt like no go places with broken windows, looked uncared for and empty of customers also not serving food. However would recommend The Hungry Bear restaurant just round the corner for a special meal and the fish and chip shop was good 1 minute walk away. Bus service very close by was very good.

Enjoyable holiday.

We had nice weather which helped. The house was well equipped. We had everything we needed, from hair dryer to iron, ironing board and dishwasher. However, we did have a few problems with the upstairs toilet flush.

Great base for exploring the island.

Beautifully finished cottage, in a lovely style, very clean and with everything you can think of you might need. Thank you for the extra touches like fruit, jam, fizz, and biscuits. Makes it so welcoming. Only minor issue was the bbq was not summer ready with a rusted grill, but this is really the only negative mention. Everything else is perfect and would definitely recommend.

Lovely holiday in Brading as usual but getting a bit old now for the stairs!

The mews was set back from the main road and very quiet and in a convenient location for everywhere we wanted to visit. The host had left wine, milk and fruit as well as tea, coffee and various condiments to be used. This was greatly appreciated.

Probably the best equipped self catering property we have ever been in.

It was central to where we wanted to be, good location close to bus stops train facilities to Sandown and Shanklin .

As many other guests have noted in the visitors' book at this property, it is exceptionally well-equipped, clean and comfortable.

Parking outside the door and wifi were appreciated and the shower is brilliant (important if you are a walker, cyclist, etc). There are lots of attractions within walking distance but the whole of the island is also readily accessible from this location, much of it on foot or by bike, bus, train or car. There is also a wide range of supermarkets on the central and eastern side of the island, so guests can easily fit a quick shop into a day out.

Stayed here several times now, never fails to feel like a second home.

Everything about the cottage suits me as an elder holidaymaker and visitor.

This property is possibly the best we have ever used.

As others have said, it is so convenient for bus stops with excellent pubs and a Fish & Chip shop very close. We took a car which had its own designated parking space but used the very efficient Island bus service quite a lot. The property is very well equipped and is very clean and beautifully finished. Special thanks to both Sykes and the Owners for accommodating our change of week caused by an unexpected family problem. Will look here first when next we visit the Island.

Local shop not even 100 yards from the house!

The cottage was very well equipped but uncluttered.

It was a perfect location for two older adults without a car. We were able to get to all the places we wanted by bus or train.

House was perfect , little extra touches made it really accommodating for me and my family.

Travel cot and high chair all provided. House done up to a really high spec. Great location. Loved our stay and will be back soon.

This was our 2nd stay at 4 The Old Post Office Mews and as expected we had an excellent stay.

All facillities were as expected and the property provided a superb base for us to explore the Isle of Wight andwe will be looking to book this property again in future holidays.

We made use of the "Freedom" ticket on the buses.

A single pass is £24.00 but if you are a group of 5 or under (as we were) we had a pass costing only £55.00. Excellent value for money and we travelled extensively during our 7 days. The bus stops in both directions were located literally less than 5 minutes walk from the property. The drivers were able to enjoy a relaxing holiday too. The property was small but well appointed, top quality. Sykes has more than satisfied these customers again this year!

Wine biscuits and fruit awaited us and there were many household products left for us including washing powder, dish washing tablets, kitchen and loo roll, as well as tea, coffee and milk. Best holiday accommodation ever! I want to live there!! 5*
