Description

This tastefully decorated, detached cottage, originally a coach house, has outstanding coastal views and is located a couple of miles from the most southern point on the Isle of Wight.

Recently redecorated, this Chale cottage is ideal for couples, friends or families who wish to relax and enjoy some special time together in one of the most unspoiled parts of the Isle of Wight.

You'll find your well-equipped kitchen with dining area and woodburning stove on the ground floor of this welcoming Chale cottage.

Upstairs, you'll enjoy panoramic views across the sea to The Needles and surrounding countryside from your sitting room, which offers comfortable seating and an open fire.

This is the perfect environment in which to relax at the end of your active day and to watch the stunning sunsets across the bay.

Outside your Isle of Wight cottage you'll find a small, enclosed, lawned garden with table and chairs and a lockable shed containing sun loungers and a barbecue.

Opposite the garden gate, there is a feedbox attached to a telegraph pole which, from time to time, attracts red squirrels.

You can enjoy watching them from the cottage windows.

There is a tennis court adjacent to the main house, accessible from the steps in the main house car park.

Guests are welcome to use the court between the hours of 10am and 5pm on Mondays-Fridays.

They must provide their own rackets and balls and keep the doors to the tennis court shut when playing and leaving the court.

The farming community of Chale offers some amazing downland and coastal walks, all within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which can be directly accessed from your front door.

Chale also offers an award-winning pub/restaurant, The Wight Mouse Inn.

A short drive takes you into Niton which has a village store and is also home to Tregear Pottery.

It is a short journey from the Coach House to Compton Bay with its long sandy beach, popular for surfing, swimming, fossil finding and, at low tide, spotting the odd dinosaur footprint!

The Coach House is a charming retreat after your winter walks or day at the beach.

Whether you're a walker, cyclist or beachcomber, this Isle of Wight cottage is perfect for year-round enjoyment.

Beautiful location with views and lots of walking routes.

Plenty to do and see. Our accommodation was very well equipped with all you could need. Red squirrels around with lots of other wildlife to enjoy. Overall a comfortable and well presented house.

Beautiful place to stay, evening sunset was gorgeous.

Next to the main road but that didn't annoy in any way. Few little things needs a quick fix, window latch stay. Need to invest in a good quality nonstick frying pan. Good to have iron, washing machine. Definitely recommend

Mostly this was a nice place to stay but the main downside for us is that it was equipped with tall people in mind.

Many pegs supplied for coats etc but far too high for someone of 5’1”. The other complaint is that the windows were dirty which rather spoilt the lovely view. Other than that it was a very comfortable place to stay. We loved all the wild life.
