Well equipped kitchen. Tastefully decorated. Welcome pack on arrival. Privately enclosed garden, safe for children & dogs. Nicki & Dave great hosts, nothing to much trouble if needing assistance with anything. Would highly recommend.

This is our second year at The Coach House.

It’s a real home from home and very comfortable with everything you need for your stay. It’s so peaceful and you can literally leave the car and walk for miles straight from the door. Nici is a lovely host and leaves a very generous hamper of local produce plus you can buy eggs laid by the Clatterford hens. Our dogs love it here and we’d highly recommend staying here.

Lovely property and great hosts.

Ideally located, quiet but with good bus links and an easy walk into Newport. This was my third visit and I'll be back next year.

The accommodation was within easy reach of ferry & had safe parking with its central location being an ideal base for going anywhere on Island regards travelling time/distance involved Quality decor/amenities throughout leading into the secure garden that had enough space for dogs to explore whilst hot tub was easy to use & private with scenic views so relaxing time enjoyed by all during our stay Nicki (owner)was friendly/helpful too particularly when booking journey tickets & the welcome pack received upon arrival a nice bonus

This is truly a home from home.

Nicola, the owner, has taken great care to choose soothing colours, beautiful pictures and quirky ornaments to make this cottage a relaxing place to be. The place was spotless, the kitchen well appointed and the lounge a great place to chill out with plenty of throws to snuggle in. The hot tub was much appreciated after bracing walks on the beaches or around Carisbrooke castle (where we met lots of dog friendly locals). The two fords near the cottage were great for a quick wash of muddy paws (and wellies) but there is also access to an outside tap in the courtyard. Thank you Nici for making us and our little dog so warmly welcome. You deserve your 5 stars.

Lovely property, made to feel very welcome and the birthday hamper just topped it off.

In a very secluded area very quite just what we needed for a break away from work. We feel if there was extra toilet facilities maybe downstairs would have eased congestion for the bathroom. Very well maintained and hot tub what a bonus!!! Thank you so much .

We have just returned from a week at this lovely property and think we have found our new favourite holiday destination.

The house is a proper home from home, the outside courtyard space is a great space for drying wet dogs but also a lovely space to sit at the table, then the upper garden area gives you beautiful countryside views with a peaceful seating area and the hot tub. There are lovely walks on the doorstep and the location is perfectly located for exploring this lovely island. Nicci, the owner was lovely and very kindly got us substantially discounted ferry tickets. We definitely hope to return next year.

What a beautiful home, extremely clean and well equipped.

Very comfortable beds, and seating areas. It had everything to make a perfect holiday. The garden being totally enclosed was fabulous for our 2 whippets and the hot tub was an added bonus. We are returning visitors, as we love The Coach House!

It is situated in a lovely quiet area, a stones throw from Carisbrooke Castle. The Coach House is cosy and comfortable where everything you might need has been thought of.

Lovely cottage inside and out.

Decoration internally was absolutely beautiful; it was like you were home from home. Nice little welcome basket of goodies on the kitchen table on arrival and a small bottle of milk in a "churn" bottle int he fridge. Use of the hot tub as well, which was great on evenings after a long day. Nici and Dave were very friendly, to the point Nici came out to service the hot tub at 9pm when a fault occured. Try the Cluckerford Hens eggs which Nici puts out daily; scrumptious

Wonderful relaxing cottage and garden.

No disturbance from the owners. At our last cottage on the island the owner kept appearing and chatting every time we stepped outside. Their chickens provided extremely tasty eggs. Lovely walk to Carisbrooke Castle - Google said 7 minutes.

Nici looked after us throughout our stay, was in contact when we had a few queries. Property was clean, well looked after and a lovely welcome hamper greeted us. We’ve already booked for next year.

Beautiful property and setting.

The owner has thought if everything that you may need and is very well equipped. She also supplied a very generous hamper which included local produce which was very much enjoyed throughout our week’s stay. The Coach House has been very thoughtfully decorated with subtle colour themes running throughout all the rooms which provided very restful ambiance. The king size bed was also extremely comfortable which we find can make or break the enjoyment of a holiday as nothing worse than an uncomfortable bed and broken nights sleep. There is a hot tub which we didn’t use but the garden is very pretty at night with twinkling lights which made it look like a fairy garden ( I imagine children would love it). The courtyard has areas to sit/eat and there is another sitting/eating area on the upper lawn. The garden is enclosed although we were initially a bit concerned our small escape artist dog could have squeezed through the rear gate. However we found this had been blocked up the following day so she couldn’t get out. The surrounding area is stunningly beautiful with walks from the property so you can literally just leave your car and go exploring. Carisbrooke castle is about a 15 minute walk away and there are two pubs in the village as well as a Co op store. As the location is pretty central in the island it’s very easy to drive out to all areas if you want to venture further afield and there’s plenty to see and do for all ages and levels of ability. We’ll certainly be back to this little gem again in the future. Thank you Nici for your hospitality.

My second visit to the lovely cottage (with a great welcome pack!

). It's a very picturesque location, near to Carisbrooke Castle and an easy walk or bus ride into Newport if you don't want to drive. There are plenty of local walks too. Enjoyed the Italian restaurant just a 10 minute walk away. Helpful and friendly host - already planning my next visit.

Very comfortable, so clean , everything you would need, eye to detail and felt like home .

Perfect location to reach all parts of the island. Peaceful location but within 25 minute walk of the main shops. Accommodation comfortable and relaxing. Loved the hot tub.

Fantastic accommodation in a lovely peaceful location.

The house feels like a home as soon as you arrive, it’s clean and very tastefully decorated, and has everything you could need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. A very generous welcome pack on arrival (thank you Nici) the milk, tea and coffee very much appreciated after a long journey. We all (dogs and humans) loved our walks around Carisbrooke Castle and local fields, and the dogs loved paddling in the ford on the way back. The house is in a great location to explore the island and lovely to come back to after long days sightseeing, especially being able to relax in the hot tub. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so we made the most of our days out. Nici is really friendly and helpful, even putting extra boarding up to stop our small dog potentially escaping from the garden. Very reassuring to know that the garden is secure. We would absolutely love to stay at the Coach House again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The coach house was beautifully decorated and had everything you would need, plus a lot of thoughtful extras.

We enjoyed the jacuzzi. The location a short walk from Carisbrooke Castle, and central on the island, was great.

Arrived home last night after a lovely week at our favorite the Coach House.

Nici and Dave as always the perfect and generous hosts ensuring you have a happy stay. As always sad to leave and we and our dogs, Teddy and Sidney, enjoyed an idyllic week in perfect accommodation and location . Enjoyed our local walks, visiting old and new haunts, peace and tranquility and the much needed recharging of the batteries. Highly recommended and we will be back. This cottage was great for a family of five and two dogs.

Lovely big kitchen, great facilities. Cupboard in the living room with board games and jigsaw puzzles that were much appreciated on rainy days and in the evenings. My girls loved the hot tub which was in its own little secluded part of the garden. Beds were very comfortable and the whole cottage was clean and nicely decorated. It had a very homely feel and the lovely and friendly owners were available for any questions we had. Local shops about a ten minute walk away and in the other direction, Carisbrooke Castle and public footpath across water meadows and farmland (great for walking the dogs on a lead) again a few minutes walk. Highly recommend this cottage and we definitely plan on booking again. Thank you for a great holiday!

This was our second time at The Coach House.

The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need! We had a lovely comfortable stay and a great welcome basket too. The central Island location is ideal as a base to travel out from and we really enjoyed walks around the local lanes and up to the Castle too.

A very definite five star holiday accommodation.

The owners are extremely friendly and so very helpful and the home has everything needed for a great holiday. It is spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The garden and outside space are great with the hot tub being an added bonus. The location is ideal if you like cycling and walking as is centrally located. To sum up in one word - “perfect”

We had the most amazing stay in the Coach House.

(5 Nights) It was lovely being so close to Carisbrooke Castle too, which can be seen from the garden. Time to relax in the hot tub when it was raining, then out later in the day. The hot tub is a great temperature too and easy to work. Property was very clean and beautifully furnished. A lovely IOW goody basket filled with tasty treasures from around the island was left on the kitchen table for us. Great garden especially for us and our two dogs. No need to worry about your pooches when your in the tub. Just outside the front door to the left there are fresh eggs to buy from your hosts chickens. Very nice treat for breakfast. Fantastic host very friendly and good with all communications. We will be returning to your beautiful home. Thank you.

Very welcoming host, warm, extremely clean and well equipped cottage.

A lot of thought has gone into providing everything we could possibly want during our stay. The nautical theme of well chosen accessories gave the impression that the hosts wanted you to feel that they had made every effort to make you feel “at home”. The location is very peaceful but with pubs/shops nearby and plenty of room to park. Thank you and hope to be back again soon.

Super place to stay, well equipped and comfortable.

The location is great for walks, plus the additional secure garden is also good if you have dogs. Friendly owners, ridiculously easy parking too. Would recommend.

We have a fabulous time in The Coachhouse.

It was perfect for the needs of a family of 4 with a small dog. The cottage was warm, comfortable and perfectly located in a lovely area close to Newport and overlooked by Carisbrooke Castle which was a short walk from the cottage. Our Host Nici couldn’t do enough to help us, even offering to meet us near Cowes when we realised we had left a coat behind after we left for home. We highly recommend and will be back.

A really lovely cottage in a very quiet, ideal location.

Our generous welcome pack and the warm reception from Nici set us up for the week. Our dog loved it as well. Nowhere was far from the cottage as we explored the island and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Our host could not have been more attentive. A great place to stay

The Coach House was beyond our expectations.

As we arrived Nici was there to greet us and we immediately felt very welcome and at home. There was a welcome basket of local produce which we enjoyed very much. The cottage was exceptionally clean, well decorated, light and airy and the beds were extremely comfortable. The courtyard and the garden were secure so we had no worries about our dog, Kofi escaping. The hot tub was used every day after our days explorations of the island. A lovely way to end the day. The location of the Coach House was ideal for getting around and we could also walk to and around Carrisbrook Castle with Kofi from there which we did every morning. Nici was at hand if we needed her. Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our fresh eggs from her hens. We are looking forward to visiting again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the coach house.

The location was ideal for getting to pretty much anywhere on the island. We loved the beautiful dog walks in the area and frequently walked to the castle. Nici was a truly wonderful host, greeting us daily and showing an interest in our adventures. The coach house itself was lovely, it had all we could need for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and just what we needed after a days adventures. We would without hesitation book to stay again.

Superb property with all the facilities you could wish for, perfect hosts Niki and Dave who made us so welcome.. Great location and easy access to all areas and walks through the bridle paths with our dogs as you stepped out of the front door. Perfect location, perfect property, perfect tranquillity and perfect hosts. You will not be disappointed if you choose this superb property for a vacation. We will be back but for longer next time.

Beautifully quiet yet central, spacious but cosy, with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The Coach House is beautifully presented and a real home from home. A lovely secure garden and courtyard, so very dog friendly with a great walk straight out the door and down the lane to Carisbrooke Castle which is just around the corner and can be seen whilst relaxing in the hot tub. Nici is a loveley host and we couldn't have asked for anywhere better so if and when we return to the island I can say for certain that we won't bother to look at staying anywhere but here. Our dog Penny loved her time on the island visiting the many gardens and beaches( She also liked the door stop as soon as we arrived, had to hide it from her). Weather was beautiful on many days and we went out every day. Hot tub was very welcome. Great hosts

Lovely cottage.

Very quite but short distance to shops etc. Clean and comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful. Lovely walk up to Carisbrooke castle and across the ford. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

We had a lovely few nights at the Coach House and the accommodation worked really well for us, a family with a baby and toddler.

Nici was very welcoming and helpful and we felt at home upon arrival. There were a few toys and things to interest the children and all the rooms were comfortable. Of course, the hot tub was wonderful but unfortunately its location down the garden meant we didn't feel it was close enough to the house for us both to go in while the children were sleeping - that would only be a problem for those with young children who might wake up after bedtime. The location worked brilliantly as we never had to drive more than half an hour to get anywhere we wanted to visit. We might well be back!

Very well located. Walked to the needles, Bembridge and St Catherine’s Point all from our front door.. also very short walk to the grounds of the castle for a nice early morning dog walk.. All walks ended very well with a nice soak in the hot tub

We arrived to a very warm welcome and a gorgeous hamper of local produce. The court yard is so pretty and we loved listening to the birds. We had a wonderful stay exploring the island. Coming back to the Coach House after a long day exploring was a delight, and then not to mention getting into the hot tub with a glass of prosecco watching the sun go down... Bliss. A wonderful home from home.

The Coach House was beautifully furnished, well equipped and in a pretty location. It was a great base for exploring the many interesting places that the Isle of Wight has to offer. Nici and Dave were fantastic and friendly hosts who were on hand if needed and always wore a smile.

A beautiful cottage, very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed.

We really enjoyed the hot tub, very private with fabulous views of the countryside, you can even just about see Carisbrook Castle. Lovely to relax in at the end of a busy day with a G&T. Thank you also for the delicious hamper of food it was much appreciated. The cottage is well situated to explore the Island and sits in beautiful countryside. We would definitely like to return in the future.

We all had a wonderful stay at The Coach House which is in a fabulous location on the island, only a few minutes walk from Carrisbrooke Castle and the surrounding area and also a brilliant location for exploring the island in general.

Nici was a fabulous host, the facilities were immaculately kept and a home from home for anyone wanting a truly top class level of holiday accommodation. Would absolutely recommend.

The cottage was fantastic, well above expectations and we loved staying there.

Everything was absolutely gorgeous and we are already planning a return visit!!

Our holiday was a great success.

Accommodation and location brilliant. HOWEVER the communication and management of my dealings with Sykes was abysmal. We arrived to find that our booking was cancelled despite the customer services assuring that a simple admin change would not have been a problem, despite receiving notification that payment had been accepted. I received the appropriate documentation leading me to believe all was as it should be. Totally unacceptable.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay.

.host Nici was very friendly and helpful. Would be lovely to have fairy lights around the hot tub. And perhaps another toilet we were a group of 5 girls so bathroom always a priority These are just small things as we had an amazing weekend just chilling

The property is in an excellent location,well equipped and comfortable.

The private garden and hot tub are a definite asset.Our host Nicola was very welcoming.She was honest about the shower in the bathroom regarding the temperamental thermostat but this did cause problems each day.Very slow to get warm water but then it becomes too hot and cannot be suitably adjusted.We understand that the Coach house is very old but this should be rectified as soon as possible.

The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lots of room for the four of us, all the home comforts you need. We really enjoyed the garden and hot tub in the evenings (great view). My daughters really loved the two dogs that belonged to the owners too (which we saw in the neighbouring garden). The beds were really comfortable and we slept so well in the peaceful surroundings. Nici the host was such a lovely lady, so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Cottage was very comfortable and there was a good selection of pots/pans/cutlery/plates etc.

The garden was dog fenced and very pretty and the hot tub was a massive bonus. The hosts were lovely and couldn’t do more to accommodate our every need. Great dog walking in the area and it was a central location to almost every place on the Isle of Wight.

The cottage was warm, welcoming and immaculately clean.

The kitchen was well equipped, so much so we cooked our Xmas dinner with no problems. The living room was comfortable and cosy as were the bedrooms. The hot tub in the secluded garden provides the perfect end to the day, after exploring the island. We brought our furry friend with us, the garden was secure and with lots of dog friendly fields close by it was perfect. The location of the house is central on the island so everywhere is within easy reach. Really enjoyed our break, thank you x

We had a fantastic fortnight at The Coach House, the owners were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

We had everything we needed, the cottage was clean, well-equipped and centrally-located. We explored the whole island and returning in the evening for a soak in the hot tub was absolute bliss, especially for our two teenagers! The dog enjoyed the garden & running around with the owners pooch’s too! A great holiday, 5 stars all round.

It’s a great base to explore the island from, it has everything you need and is comfortable and clean. Your host, who lives next door, Nici, is very helpful if you need help with anything. The hot tub is a great addition in a lovely setting.

A home from home.

We were caught out by a terrible storm and stuck on the island for an extra day but the owners were excellent about letting us stay the extra night and gave us additional time to vacate the following morning so a stressful situation was made much easier.

Nichola looked after us really well and was very friendly and helpful, explaining how to use the hot tub and where there were good places to walk the dogs, have a drink etc.

The cottage was a real home from home very spacious and clean with everything you need for a relaxed holiday. Along with towels, tea-towels etc a small bottle of milk and many condiments and other necessities (eg DVDs, board games etc) were provided. All we really needed to take apart from clothes and food were towels and flip-flops for the hot tub and food. The cottage was situated a short distance from Carrisbrook Castle and only a couple of miles from the centre of Newport. When we next travel to the Isle of Wight we shall stay there again (subject to availability of course).

This cottage was absolutely amazing. Our family had a one week stay at the Coach House and we were not disappointed. The closed off court yard and garden was perfect for the children. The hosts were fantastic, extremely friendly and were brilliant for advice about where to visit and what to do. We will definately be returning and will be recommending this particular cottage to friends and family.

We had a great break with our dog and we all loved it.

The fence was quite spacious and I was afraid our dog might get through so kept her on a lead, as she’s very small and would have got through. Still a good time, with drives all over the island.

The Coach House was the perfect place to stay everything was catered for , the hot tub in the garden was a great bonus, Nicci + Dave were wonderful hosts so much so we intend to return there.

The island itself is a lovely place to stay with so much to see and do or just relax , one of our best holiday experiences. Gordon + Dorrine

Wonderful cottage which gave us security, peace and calmness.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend to family and friends as well as returning ourselves. If we were travelling to the Isle of Wight again this would be our ‘go to’ place to stay. Perfectly located on the island for access to each and every tourist location. We went to research our family history and our hosts were very kind and generous with their help and support. The hot tub is a must and as a newby I am converted!

We all had a wonderful holiday in a very pleasant, comfortable and well equiped house : the forecourt is safe, our little dachshund was able to run free.

The owner, who lives very near, was very kind and helpful. The surrounding is also very pleasant : the narrow street (Clatterford Shute) leads to Carisbrooke castle via a ford. Perhaps, we'll return there for another holiday.

It’s a lovely house, warm and cosy, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We were grateful when we first arrived, weary from the journey, to see that among other things tea, coffee and milk had been provided! We needed the week just to relax a bit and it was perfect! The garden is enclosed so no fear of losing our ageing dog who is deaf and a little bit short-sighted, and is prone to wandering off! The house is situated only a short walk from the castle, and it’s a nice scenic walk up to it, and there are lots of public footpaths to explore the area on foot. Further afield are places to go, by bike (my husband and son). Would recommend this house as a cosy retreat in a quiet area, but central to everywhere on the island.
