Tv in master bedroom was broken.
Shade in one bedroom was also broken. Flush on downstairs didn't fully work. Had a great stay but these little bits need attention.
As soon as we arrived we reported no hot water in the shower.
This was remedied by reducing the pressure in the cold supply by turning down the stop tap. There was also no safety shower mat. Both these points were acknowledged and dealt with by the maintenance company. Other issues arose which we have also reported upon leaving so the owners are aware. The property was not as clean as we would have expected, carpets had been vacuumed but there was dust under the table in the lounge and spider web around the fireplace. The outdoor furniture was not cleaned or brushed down and we had to sweep the deck to the rear of the property which did not appear to have been done for some time. Around the front door and the path leading to the property had not been cleaned or swept either. It is fair to say that the furnishings are tired, the sofa has marks in places and the condition of the showers are showing their age with doors difficult to close. The freezer drawers inside are broken. The kitchen equipment is plentiful with two cheese graters and two measuring jugs!! and many childrens spoons etc. However there was no cafetiere or bowls suitable for pasta. We have always found such items to be available at other Sykes properties.
