Very nice Accommodation, Close to all areas beach,pier,shops supermarkets and train station .

Ideal for families large and small .The games cuboard was very entertaining and catered for all ages .The rear garden is enclosed and safe for children to play with a large patio area. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything you need ,The rooms spacious and comfortable and internet ,smart TV was great. A most enjoyable stay .

This property is an amazing house.

All that you read in the reviews is spot on. Yes it is a little uphill to walk and a long walk down to the beach. All the amenities are excellent. I would recommend this property 100% for a break on the island.

A wonderful property with everything you need for a great holiday.

Lots of space ,comfortable beds, excellent kitchen and lots of parking space. A good location for visiting many attractions - Osbourne House ,The Needles and Ryde etc. Also the pubs\restaurants\beach in Sandown could be walked to. The house is On a road that runs parallel to a main road so can be tricky to turn out to. Also there are stairs placed in front of the entrance to the second bedroom making entry and exit very difficult.Our friends in their seventies could not use it but younger people may be ok. Hence the rating of 4 stars. Overall the house is great and the owners are responsive and helpful.

We had a lovely week at no 5.

Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of space. 3 year old loved exploring the toys and games and playing in the secure back garden. As mentioned by others, getting out of the Mall can be difficult because of the volume of traffic at times. The walk down to the beach by the pier probably takes about 20 minutes and is uphill on the way back so not ideal if carrying lots of beach stuff, and difficult to park during busy times. Very handy having basins in the bedrooms. Overall, a nice place to stay, all the everyday essentials were there and a lovely welcome basket.

..where do I start fab location, lovely big back garden, children love the playroom with toy cupboard. Lovely family home . The goodie basket and flowers were a nice extra touch. Stayed here twice and will definately return .

A real home from home.

Everything you could possibly want in a holiday home. The conservatory was our favourite seating area when not tv viewing. Our car was idle for the week as we found the bus service to be great for Shanklin and Ventnor and we could walk down and back into Sandown. We had in fact covered other places (Osborne house, Ryde, Bembridge and St Helens) the previous week whilst based in Bembridge. Words of warning - crossing the main road on foot at either end of the Mall is not recommended, go to the nearest pedestrian crossing. Also as I found when we left, getting out by car at the top end is risky as you’re on a blind corner. Sandown itself is unfortunately a bit run down and decent eating places are at a premium thus why we spent more time in shanklin and ventnor. Our recommendations are in the visitors book. Tesco Express 5 mins down the road served our every day needs.

Lovely, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable house - great to have room where children could play with so many games and puzzles provided.

We loved being able to walk from the door - either to the beach and coast path or into the countryside. Comfortable beds a bonus! Just a pity the downstairs shower did not function.

The property was clean, well presented and very welcoming .

The basket of goodies was a welcome touch.We had a great time with our daughter and grandson (over from N.Z)who loved the toys in the cupboard and playroom.The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were wonderful.The property is close to Sandown and the coastal path.The weather was fantastic and we would not hesitate to rebook in the future.

This property is extremely well equipped and the children in our group were also delighted with the toys and games available.

The owners had left a welcome basket of various edibles which was a lovely extra touch. We enjoyed our stay here. The location is great for getting to the beach.

A beautiful holiday house!

Spotlessly clean and tidy, very well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds! Welcome basket was a lovely surprise! Ample parking and a great base from which to explore the island.

This property is amazing and a credit to the owners.

The facilities in the property are second to none and the house was impeccably clean. There was a basket of welcoming items to get the holiday off to a good start before needing to shop. Many games available to keep the kids entertained when necessary. Ample and safe parking for two cars. Property is ideally situated between Sandown and Shanklin. Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat

We travelled as 4 adults with a 2 year old and a 5 month old in tow.

This property was perfect for all of us both in terms of the space available, the books and toys provided and the baby/toddler equipment, the general basics that are often missing from holiday properties - we loved it. Definitely the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen. Yes the water pressure was a bit hit and miss but we managed not to shower at the same time. There was loads to do in the vicinity and it was a bonus that most places could be reached by public transport as 2 of us travelled that way to the island. We loved the Poo Museum and the playground just close by! The only, minor, drawback was that beyond the immediate service road to the property, there is quite a busy road. It's far enough away not to be noisy but you had to be careful when crossing. The traffic actually stopped for us when we were crossing with a pram and buggy! Also I don't think we would have made it down the steep path to Lake Beach with the pram and buggy but Sandown beach was easily walkable.

Wonderful property.

Lots of space and lots of children toys and items that made it easy! Close to shops and attractions. The water pressure and temperature of the water for baths and showers need to be looked at. Most of the time, you were only getting hot water for a maximum of 4 minutes. most of the other time, the water goes from burning hot to ice cold.

We had a really lovely stay and the property was beautiful.

The rooms were big and spacious and had everything we need. The views from the house were also spectacular. However, on arrival, cleanliness was an issue. The floors in the bathroom were sticky and although not the owners fault, it smelled badly of cigarettes in one of the bedrooms from a previous guest, despite being a non smoking property. The carpets in one of the bedrooms also hadn't appeared to be vaccummed and there were quite a few hairs. The other issue that impacted our stay was the water pressure. Although it states in the guest book that pressure is an issue on the island, we have been to several properties with multiple bathrooms, that you can use simultaneously. The fact that we couldn't use any water in the house whilst someone was showering was very inconvenient. We picked this property due to the multiple bathrooms, but we could only ever use one at a time. It would have also been great if all rooms had storage spaces. Two of the rooms didn't have any clothing space, making it slightly inconvenient for all of us when emptying our luggage.

Absolutely beautiful house with everything you could ever need provided and thought of for all members of the family.

The most wonderful welcome basket we’ve ever had!!!! The children loved playing with the toys in the playroom and we loved relaxing in the gorgeous lounge. The views from the front of the house were stunning and for us it was an excellent location with quick and easy access to all the tourist attractions we wanted to visit. An amazing stay in a fabulous house and lovely owners. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

Very impressed, the welcome pack was the best we've ever had, they thought of everything.

The house smelt clean as you walked in. Only one slight problem, the front door was very hard to unlock

The house was wonderful it had everything you needed, the super king size bed was very comfortable, however the water pressure could have been an issue if all three are used at the same time, but as only 2 of us at the property it was not a problem.

The Mall is in an ideal location with a 5 minute walk to the beach and easy access to all areas of the island either by car bus or train.

A perfect house to rent.

Very clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds and furniture. We had an unexpected welcome pack with clear instructions prior to arrival from the owners. A fantastic home and will definitely visit again when we return to the island.

5 The Mall is absolutely perfect in every way!

We had an amazing stay and cannot wait to return. The cottage is ideally located and very well equipped - especially for those travelling with children. The welcome basket was by far the best we've ever had!

We had a lively stay at 5 The Mall and close to the shops and Attractions.

The house was lovely clean and spacious downstairs. Upstairs there are 2 very large bedrooms and 2 smaller and I feel it was more suited to 6 adults and 2 children The only downside was the toilet seats did not fit very well which I'm sure could easily be fixed and this would not stop is retuning to the property. We left some pans behind and Satah the owner was very good and speedily put them in the post to us.

So well furnished with absolutely everything we needed, so clean and comfortable. In a great location 5 min walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend.

It's an excellent house that is really well appointed.

There was plenty of space for the kids to run around and play, which was essential because of some rainy days. It is also in the perfect location for us as we have family in Sandown. It's close the beach, high street, and a short walk to visit our family. I'd definitely recommend it, and we hope to return for a summer break next year.

The property is light and spacious providing plenty of room for our family group of 7.

It is well located with lovely views and came with a generous welcome pack. The kitchen-diner is well equipped making cooking and dining together a pleasure. The ensuite shower room, family bathroom and ground floor cloakroom were more than adequate for our needs. I'm sure if we had been visiting during the summer months, we would have enjoyed using the garden and patio.

The house has everything you could need. Hosts have thought of everything and there is a great selection of toys, both inside and outside. Everything is top quality and the beds were very comfortable. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and there was lots of information on places to visit and eat. The location was great and it was very close to a lovely playground. Highly recommended.

Extremely spacious, very clean and has everything you could want. We stayed as a group of 5 adults and 2 children and it was perfect. Fantastic location within easy reach of the beach and shops. We loved our holiday here and are looking to book again

This property is furnished and equipped to a very high standard.

The owners have thought of everything that could be needed in the kitchen. It is extremely family friendly, with toys, books, cutlery and plates provided for small children. The house is spacious and airy. It is only a ten minute walk to the beach and there is a decent Tesco Express a couple of minutes walk away. Beds are comfortable and there is a secure private garden. Thoroughly recommended.

Plenty of room for 7 people and children well catered for. New downstairs toilet/shower room a big bonus and newly paved patio lovely. Photos online do not do this house justice as large rooms and well laid out.

Very spacious, better equipped than any other holiday home I have stayed in (expect the kitchen to have everything you need, even including great knives, hand mixer and blender, .

..), fantastic views and great for kids, too. Sandown beach, Tesco Express and playground within walking distance. Accommodated two families of four comfortably.

The house is beautifully decorated and caters for every need. Ideally located to explore and with local shops. Great communication with the owners who are more than accommodating. We are already planning our return trip!

Amazing house, needs updating.

. A lot of lime scale in in the unsuite shower.. Timing to leave.. 9:30am and on a Sunday.. hotels are 11am.. option to book early check in and late check is a must given the price. As we arnt from the island, it would be nice to be made aware that taxis are a no go. Others then that we had an amazing stay. Thank you

Wonderful property with loads of space.

Thoughtful welcome package. Cupboard full of children’s toys kept our grandchildren occupied whilst we prepared for the days activities. Well positioned close to the coastal path between Sandown and Shanklin and close to Lots of other attractions. All in all a great holiday and we would have no hesitation in booking this property if we decide to holiday in the Isle of Wight again
