The cottage was perfect, clean and well stocked and in a great location.

The host was very helpful, with some lovely messages and a wonderful welcome hamper. The kitchen was particularly good, with plenty of utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, mugs and glasses. Even dishwasher tablets and biscuits treats for the dog!! The location was quiet, we parked off road no problem each day, the local pub was good and we had a nice meal, easy walk to the beach too. A really good welcome book with suggestions and guides was there too. Couldn't fault anything really, which is all you can ask.

Very tastefully and creatively decorated cottage.

Four poster Bed in master bedroom was a picture! Sadly, however, I think the very uncomfortable mattress has seen better days. The shower/bath could use a safety bar to hold onto for the difficult climb in and out. The toilet area could be greatly improved by a curtain to give some privacy.

We had a fantastic Christmas break at Linda Cottage.

The team at Sykes were really helpful when we made the booking, checking out a couple of queries we had about the property with the owner and getting back to us promptly. Suzanne was the perfect host, arranging for the cottage to be decorated for Christmas and leaving us some delicious, and very welcome treats! She was in touch throughout our stay, checking in with us to make sure we were happy with everything. The cottage itself was charming - cosy, spotlessly clean, warm and beautifully decorated and furnished. It was really well equipped with everything we needed to self cater. The position of the cottage is fabulous for walking, with lovely beaches at St Helens, Seaview and Bembridge on the doorstep. Our dogs loved the daily walks and we appreciated being able to bring both of them. We cannot recommend this beautiful home highly enough, perfect for couples or up to 5 people, and hope to be able to return soon.
