We loved our week at Topsails, which lived up to high expectations set from photographs.

The location is perfect, so close to the beach and fabulous restaurant The Hut, but we were never disturbed by noise. The house itself is gorgeous, well equipped and with several separate spacious entertaining areas and a wonderful, large fully enclosed garden. It worked brilliantly for our family plus a friend for each of our daughters aged 15 and 12 and energetic young dog. The beach is quiet and calm, the tide comes up high so often there isn’t much beach, but dogs are welcome on most of it all year round which is a huge plus (only one stretch is dog free, to the left of the jetty) and we hired paddle boards. We used the beach shops and cafe regularly, all very reasonably priced. The Hut is expensive and should be booked well in advance, but absolutely worth it for the atmosphere, fabulous food and stunning location. There are cheaper options in nearby Yarmouth for example, although other than the Hut we didn’t eat out much as the house is so well equipped for BBQs or dining in. We rented the hot tub, which was a huge hit with the 4 girls and well maintained. The Garlic Farm and Water Park at Tapnell Farm are both well worth a visit. We hope to be back, and can’t thank the owner enough for sharing their beautiful home with us, and generous welcome pack. We had no issues other than a brief local power cut, but the owner was always available, friendly, helpful and responded immediately to any queries.

Topsails is a stunning property, very clean and everything you need.

Owner left a very generous welcome hamper including milk, biscuits, tea, coffee and a bottle of fizz. Our party included 3 adults and 2 grown up teenagers. They enjoyed sitting in the conservatory playing a variety board games including Isle of Wight monopoly. We also took our small dog, the garden is fully enclosed so we didn’t have to worry about her. Topsails is on the quieter side of IOW but we enjoyed lovely sunsets and a couple of meals at The Waterfront but booking is essential. We still enjoyed exploring the rest of the island and only takes 40/45 mins to get to other places. We had to contact the owner a couple of times and the owner was very accommodating and helpful. We would highly recommend this property.
