Lovely stay.

Very prompt and friendly attention to requests. Only slight comment is on the noisy guests next door...... The dividing wall is not very soundproofed.

My mum, myself and our little dog enjoyed a beautiful 3 night stay at Jasmin cottage over the Christmas break!

From the moment we got there Jennie and everyone on the property were so friendly, helpful and accommodating and made us feel right at home. The area is an incredible spot for calm, quiet and immersing yourself with nature, with a beautiful garden, tennis courts and even a little pond. Not to mention amazing walking trails and the cutest town of Rye right on your doorstep! The house itself was warm, super cosy, the beds were huge and our favourite part (the wood burning fire!) was amazing and fully stocked with wood and paper. Would highly recommend for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of city living! For the property owner: The only criticism we would have would be supplying a few extra bin bags as we only had one, a few more mixing bowls for cooking, maybe a slightly less bright light option for over the dining room table and the lockbox for the key was at times a little temperamental and took a while to lock. However that being said, our stay was amazing and we would love to visit again!

The property felt warm & welcoming on arrival.

We were given clear & accurate directions to find it. The kitchen & living area was clean & had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Comfortable beds & nice bath/shower rooms. As others have mentioned, sound does travel from the other property when downstairs, but not to the bedrooms, so not an issue. Beautifully relaxing & peaceful location. Would happily visit again.

A beautiful place to stay and we would definitely go again .

Comfy beds ,great facilities and plenty of places to walk dogs around the area and short drives to places .It just needs a little updating on the paintwork and a good clean ,mainly large cobwebs ,skirtings and radiator dust . Having said that it didn't put us off.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting.

We found the property difficult to find as the only signs were outside Jasmine.

We had to ask a neighbour further up the lane for directions. No mirror in the twin bedded bedroom.

A beautiful and well finished barn conversion set in the countryside next to a vineyard.

Good walks from the doorstep and not far from the coast. The wooden garden furniture is rather tired and a velux blind needs repair. The large garden is great but not secure if you have an inquisitive dog.

We had a wonderful stay, the property was wonderfully set out, and comfortable.

The scenery was beautiful. The only grumble if any, was that as per another review a while ago, the sky light blind in the master bedroom was still broken, and didn't close properly.

A beautiful, peaceful setting.

The cottage has comfortable beds, bedding and sofas. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need. It was very clean, apart from a few hairs on the sofa. The only negatives are the garden could easily be made dog proof with some low wire fencing and the garden furniture needs replacing, it's unusable. Leaving stains on clothing. But this did not impact on our stay and we would definitely return.

So, what to say about Jasmines Barn.

We booked a week away Saturday to Saturday we stay all over the UK for one week in March for my mother in laws birthday and this time decided to try Kent as we have been through it and day trips in it but never stayed there. We looked for a cottage out the way of busy towns/cities as we have two dogs and we like the countryside. We found jasmine barn they also have honeysuckle barn, but we felt the lounge looked online more comfy with two sofas. not 1 sofa, 2 chairs and booked for last week in march. My partner phoned a couple of weeks before saying that we wanted the single beds made in to double We arrived just after 3pm Saturday the barn is down a long drive with grapevine fields and countryside all around. The barn converted in to two accommodations and a reception (not sure what for) we got key from lockbox and entered. It’s cosy and nice Tho sadly very worn and dirty. The tops of skirting boards all over were grim!!! our queen size bed was very comfy but 15 tog duvet ( why) its so hot but worse was the actual duvet itself was minging ( looked like it had been washed and then not dried properly as looked like mould and stains and the cover was meant to be white but was yellow!!!! The bathroom shower had mould and there was dust everywhere. I can cope with cobwebs to a point but there was loads. Single beds not made up as a double and again 13.5 tog duvets and one was as minging as the other. ( none of us used the duvets as it was to hot (in away thank god) the blind in roof window is broken so let the early 5am light in and the other bathroom is just a bath not even a shower head to wash hair and again dusty and dirty in/around the floor, Also the mirrors are on the wrong wall and should be behind the doors unless your 4ft then its perfect! The shower water is just odd and not sure who put the wallpaper up!! The light in dining area x40 bulbs

A wonderful, warm well organised property.

The outside is wonderful for dogs and just walking generally. We cooked a Sunday lunch and had everything we needed - except only 3 matching wine glasses and a shortage of forks!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jasmine holiday let.

It was as described. We loved the location it felt very private. It was warm and nicely decorated. The WIFI was nice and strong. We found the bathrooms, although clean and beautifully decorated, quite small and, the shower very small but, the shower was lovely and powerful. If we are ever planning to stay in the South East again we would stay at Jasmine again. Thank you.

Only slight comment would be that some coat hooks downstairs would be really helpful.

Extremely comfortable accommodation, well equipped, spacious and relaxing.

Easy parking for access.No welcome pack ie milk which would have been helpful after such a long journey.

This is our 4th visit to Jasmine Cottage and we just love coming here.

It’s well located with a few restaurants nearby and only 15 mins away from Camber Sands. Surrounded by vineyards and near the Chapel Down Vineyard is wonderful. However, remote enough that you have your own space. Our children enjoy coming here so much and now they are a little older, the tennis courts are such fun!

The property is in a truly outstanding rural setting and is located well away from the main village road, so absolutely no chance of being disturbed by passing traffic.

The only possible potential for spoiling the peace and quiet would be noise from the adjoining property. However, as we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves, this was not an issue for us. The property was comfortable and well equipped, with beautifully clean towels and bed linen. The property could benefit from a bit of a deep clean and general refresh, but this certainly would not deter us from wanting to visiting again.

We rented this and the adjoining cottage for a family weekend away.

Beautiful, quiet location along a track but also accessible to the coast and lots of highlights of this part of Kent - Rye, Sissinghurst, vineyards etc. Sound travelled between the 2 living areas. It didn't bother us being able to hear our young grandson but it could've been a problem if we'd just wanted to be quiet. The cottage is well equipped with comfortable beds. The mirrors in the 2 bathrooms are tricky to use as they're rather low down. The 2 properties were a great success for our family group, including dogs, so we hope to return next year.

Very nice cottage, all comfort was present.

Just a small remark : the extraction hood in the kitchen was not very clean.

We did enjoy our stay at Jasmine cottage , it was clean and comfortable, nice and warm too , In a beautiful setting .

We did experience a few issues as follows . 11 dead flys on bedroom floor on arrival . The Wi Fi was not existent , the just about managed to watch one movie on the Fire stick we brought .Our other devices all struggled unable to use them much at all . Tv remote not working batteries had corroded, Ginnie housekeeper quickly sorted this out thank you . Sound bar/box wasn’t working at all and tv sound very tinny such a shame . Shower door came off its runners , handy man was offered but never showed . No first aid box , veg peeler , or bottle opener . Like others we did experience noise travelling from next doors adjoining cottage , which distracted from this remote setting , not a huge issue as our neighbours very respectful .

An excellent stay, with great facilities.

When we had a problem with the sockets, our hosts simply sorted the cottage next door for us, so our holiday wasn't spoilt. The area is beautiful with many footpaths to explore and towns to visit.

Shower had black mould all round bottom .

Garden furniture could do with an update and as it was very hot when we were there an umbrella would have been really helpful. Beds comfortable and good location. Garden not secure for small dogs.

The garden furniture needs changing and updating the present garden furniture should be put on a bonfire.

Though the floorboards creak when you move there is not a lot you can do about that . Also the rug in the entrance and the mat on the doorstep are threadbare and need replacing.

The now notorious squeaky floor is good fun and means that people who ordinarily live in bungalows won't be worried about being burgled.

Very comfortable and extremely quiet (we had quiet neighbours too). Gorgeous walks all around and many of the Jarrold walks within easy travelling distance. Both Tenterden and Rye are lovely towns - independent shops and big supermarkets at Tenterden and hours of interesting history at Rye. I'd stay there again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jasmine, comfortable quiet location, the creaky floor has been well documented on the reviews but it didn't bother us, we would go back there again.

Had a lovely few days in this idyllic place, just what we needed.

Lovely stay in Jasmine plus lovely weather.

A couple of points which could be rectified The toilet seat in the shower room was loose Seat around dining table could be reupholstered Either a plug point added near the mirror on the landing for a hair dryer or a mirror instead of the tv near a plug point Something done about the squeaky floor downstairs Otherwise all good and the towels lovely and soft and well equipped kitchen

This is a gorgeous property in a beautiful setting, it is in very peaceful surroundings also.

The house was clean and well outfitted for the most part, however, if I have any feedback it would be that the WiFi wasn't great, especially upstairs (1 bedroom you couldn't get it at all) and the tvs weren't smart tvs, i know it's a 21st century problem but i do think that people kind of expect these things nowadays. If you don't want those things though this place is so lovely and relaxing and close to a couple of lovely towns and some good eateries.

Really lovely place to stay. Very quiet as no guests in adjoining property. Comfortable beds. Linen/ bedding was good. Well equipped. A few maintenance jobs need attending to ( for owner reference-toilet seats, outside decking area), but nothing that would put me off returning. We made use of the tennis court- great fun. Local walks- long and short. Great location for exploring area.

Slightly tired in places ripped furnishings e.

g. dining seats and one bedroom chair. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and very grateful for washing machine, although a drying rack would have been nice. We ended up using hangers and the hat stand braced over the empty plant pot. Shame about outside furniture, which was very tired. Parasol broken and unusable which was unfortunate in the 39c heat! Owners may want to take note and monitor the bonfire activity of the neighbours; during the period when fire brigade specifically asked people not to light anything and the news reported major fires and loss of property; the charred grass spreading from the bonfire site towards the hay barn outside the property shows how close it came to an incident! While we appreciate this is not owners fault in any way, it was an unsafe and irresponsible act which they should be aware of. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

First time booking a holiday cottage and we could not have chosen a better venue.

The cottage is idyllic and the surrounding area lovely. Very well appointed and definitely will be going back.

Property was in a lovely rural location though the lane leading to it was rough & narrow.

Jasmine was comfortable & well equipped though a bit tired in places. We would have preferred a second shower over the bath.

We loved it, set in beautiful countryside, lovely cottage very well appointed, beds super comfy, one constructive comment - could with a potato peeler! The log burner was lovely on a dark and stormy night very well stocked with logs. Thank you we had a lovely time

Great stay .

Also booked cottage next door . Great if you want to meet up but have your own space. Recommend booking both property’s. Will be back.

It was very difficult to shut, unlock and lock the front door as it took a lot of effort to turn the key in the lock.

An electric socket next to a mirror would be great for drying hair. Tv is just basic channels so a usb cable to plug a laptop into it would be really helpful for streaming Netflix etc.

We (my sister and I plus our two dogs) had a wonderful stay in Jasmine.

What a great place off the beaten track and good walks right on the doorstep. We felt very much at home! Also so much to explore in the area, and the landscape around is really interesting with all its watery history. Fabulous. I hope we’ll be able to come back soon.

We had a fantastic stay at Jasmine cottage.

It was the perfect staycation for us and our 2 dogs . The hosts were really helpful with our questions and requests. We can’t wait to book another stay!

Jasmine Cottage is a comfortable And well equipped property.

However I understand that the barn has recently been converted into 2 cottages. The soundproofing between the two properties is totally inadequate. Frankly in the kitchen/living space we might as well have been sitting in the same room as our neighbours in the adjacent cottage. We could hear everything they were saying and apparently they could hear us. Their dogs barked pretty often when downstairs. Luckily ours didn’t. I really feel the property needs to be properly soundproofed if it is going to be rented out as a holiday cottage. The outside garden furniture also needed cleaning

Great place to stay surrounded by vineyard, with added bonus that we could use the tennis courts at any time.

Close to lots of interesting places to visit.
