Description
Deal 4.6 miles.
In the pretty hamlet of East Studdal, not far from the coastal town of Deal in Kent, is this fantastic bungalow, Glynde affording spacious and beautifully decorated accommodation.
Perfectly suited for a family not wanting to be too far from the coast, or perhaps a group of friends looking to explore the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Heading through the front door after a day of exploring stunning scenery and fresh air, rest those tired legs and get comfy on the three-piece leather sofa suite, on a cold day switch the electric fire on for some extra warmth and settle in front of a film.
For preparing your evening meals you will be impressed with the stylish monochrome kitchen, excellent for creating a family favourite to be served in the dining room next door, complete with vintage wood table and chairs, for some quality family time.
When sleep is calling, head to the other side of the bungalow to find the bedrooms; filled with pretty and neutral decor, and ample storage for your personal items in each room there are three to choose from, a king-size with en-suite shower room, another king-size and a twin room with 3’ singles, the latter two served by the family bathroom which contains an electric shower over bath, hand-held shower as well, basin and a separate WC next door.
On summer days you can run around with the little ones on the large lawned area to the back, or watch them play from one of the plush chairs in the conservatory, with an ice cold drink in hand.
You can use the outdoor table and chairs for some alfresco dining on a balmy evening, and enjoy the evening light for as long as possible.
Over in the seaside town of Deal just a short drive away, you can find the long and pebbled Deal Beach, with a pier which dates back to the 1950s, a delightful spot for a stroll and walking south of the pier will bring you to Deal Castle, one of the finest Tudor artillery castles in England and among the earliest of coastal forts, you can explore the whole of the castle, with activities for children as well.
For a pleasant bike ride, cycle along the beachfront from Deal Castle over to Walmer Castle, another Tudor fortress which evolved to become a stately-home for famous names including the Duke of Wellington and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
For keen walkers travel over to the Kent Downs AONB to immerse yourself in the beautiful landscapes, with biodiversity-rich habitats providing homes to many plants and wildlife, dramatic views and scenery, and water and wetlands it is a truly special area to visit.
Glynde is a gorgeous property to enjoy with your loved ones in this wondrous area of Kent.

What guests are saying
A wonderful accommodation with everything you need.
Spacious bedrooms, very comfortable beds. A very safe garden for our dog . Thanks Richard for the wine. We really enjoyed our holiday !
East Studdal is a small, peaceful, rural hamlet.
It has no shop, pub or other facilities and is reached via narrow country roads with limited passing places. The property is a good size in a large plot with adequate parking and an attractive rear garden. As can be seen from the photos the style is a little dated and the paint work could do with a refresh. The kitchen has been updated and is reasonably well equipped with plenty of plates and cutlery. The dishwasher is half size so if you are a group of 6 you will need to run it a couple of times a day. The beds are comfortable although I would have preferred 100% cotton sheets but that’s a personal preference. It should be noted that the ensuite is very small with a basin just about large enough to wash your hands. The size of the room means that the basin is uncomfortably close to the wc and there is no space for a towel rail which is inconvenient but there is a large portable towel rail in the bedroom. The showers are electric and have a good water flow but the hot taps for the basins, bath and sink are very slow running and have a poor flow. The WiFi is good. The owner Richard came over to welcome us and was extremely pleasant and helpful. The bottle of red wine and pint of milk and biscuits were appreciated. The property attracts a number of return guests and provides a good sized space.
Our stay was a very enjoyable one.
Richard was most welcoming and made sure we knew what was what. We were grateful for the wine, cookies and milk, thank you. The bungalow is very well equipped and comfortable. Our dog loved the extensive enclosed garden. The bungalow is in a lovely rural area and is very peaceful and quiet. We visit this area every year and will definitely be staying at this lovely bungalow again next year.
