Nice comfortable house in perfect location, 5 mins from town centre and shops and bars.

Great facilities. Good communication from owner. All in all we had a fantastic weekend in Keswick.

It is a lovely, spacious property and was always cosy to return to after a day out.

The beds are very comfortable and the two bathrooms and additional toilet are useful for larger families. We enjoyed being in the centre of Keswick and so close to the shops, cafes, parks and lake. Each floor has beautiful views of the town and fells. It is one of the best properties we have stayed at in Keswick and we hope to return again soon.

Great position for walks from the door. Right in Keswick so all the shops and eateries are on the doorstep. Lovely outdoor market on Thursdays and Saturdays, weather permitting. Apartment very spacious, very clean, very warm and very comfy. A real home from home. Added bonus is the parking permit for the nearby car parks. I know for sure we will be back for visit number 5 soon.

Setting in the heart of Keswick this is a fantastic location.

The owner was so helpful and the property was perfect. well equipped, and the parking for the car was only five minute walk. Great for dog walks the park was only five minutes away beautiful surroundings. We had a fantastic time and booked it again for this year.

The accommodation is very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. The location is great for access to the centre and the permit parking is an added bonus. Communication and information from the booking process, to checking out, was excellent and felt very personal.

Our party included two children and a small dog and we all had a lovely week at Baystones.

Before we even arrived communication was good and James arranged our parking permit - this went very smoothly. The flat is in the centre of town so right by shops and restaurants and across the road from the park - a brilliant location. Baystones also has generously sized rooms, games available to play, a utility room, and beautiful views. We would definitely recommend it to others!

We had a really lovely short stay at Baystones in July.

The location is very central and a great base for exploring Keswick and further afield. The owner James was courteous and professional, and ensured our stay was comfortable. The entrance is a little tricky to find if you don’t read the very clear instructions on the email - so I would advise reading the check in email thoroughly and not skimming it like we did to save yourself a wander around the houses. The property was clean, well maintained and surprisingly spacious. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils etc, and the utility room is useful too (with a hoover, washing machine, clothes horse, iron and ironing board). The beds are also comfortable, and the main bathroom is fab. We would 100% stay again should we visit Keswick.

The flat is very spacious.

Well equipped kitchen. Excellent central location. The back alley access is a bit untidy due to the businesses operating there, but once inside the flat one is not aware of that. Sitting room window looks out on Station Road, good for people watching. Lovely view up to Latrigg. Would come again.

The house was very comfortable and had been nicely decorated for Christmas.

Biscuits, cakes and drinks had been left for us and made us feel welcome. Everything we needed was provided and of good quality. The house was in an excellent location. We very much enjoyed our stay. Alison

Lovely property, very clean and has everything you require.

Location is central in Keswick so ideal for shops and walkers. The only downside for us was we do enjoy a bit of a lie in on a morning however as the property is situated about a restaurant, Cafe and WH Smith’s we were woken every morning between 6 and 7 by delivery Trucks so very noisy early morning.

Well equipped and clean.

The only drawback is the number and steepness of the stairs, 16 to the front door and 16 to each of the 3 floors which would be difficult for older or less fit holidaymakers. Although overlooking the main street it was very quiet in the evenings.

Excellent location by shops and close to Fitz park, beautiful large rooms, excellent bathroom facilities with huge family bathroom and separate ensuite, lovely kitchen/diner/living room space and stunning views of the hills. Remarkably quiet, even though above the shops. Owner very helpful and immediately bought us new pillows when we asked if there were any extra. Also found it a bonus that the car park permit allowed us use of the other Keswick car parks as well. Only downside was entrance at end of dark lane but the torches provided were very helpful and everything else made up for that.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Baystones.

The property is spacious, comfortable and comes very well equipped and is a stones throw from all of the shops and restaurants. We found plenty of parking available on the surrounding streets but property also came with the added bonus of a digital permit for a carpark close by. The views from the top bedroom were wonderful we will definitely return.

Great stay overall, great value for money and a nice property.

Great location. Only elements that let it down were that the blind in the double room on the top floor didn’t cover the window tightly enough, so light crept round the edges waking us up as the sun rose. The mattresses in the 2x single room were also incredibly soft so you sank into them when lying in bed.

A lovely stay.

Had a fairly good stay at the property, until we were accused of breaking something after.

Hosts were fairly co-operative but still tried to charge us down for the money via court. Clearly have some issues with the management team running the property. Won't be staying here again due to that issue, although the hosts were fairly decent in resolving the problem the team running it have lied and left us out of pocket.

A really nice holiday home, well equipped and comfortable.

Excellent location but I would caution anyone with mobility issues about the considerable number of metal steps up to the front door at the rear of the building. I would certainly go back.

Nicely located for both town centre amenities and all the popular walks central to the lake district. More challenging with a dog, children etc as the entrance is up stairs and no front porch and washing facility. (bring a tub trug for washing dog). Useful utility room with toilet though. Really enjoyed the stay -thankyou

Our stay at Baystones was absolutely wonderful.

The location was fantastic – beautiful surroundings and conveniently situated. The place itself was warm, cosy, and felt like a true home away from home. We appreciated the permit for the car park and how surprisingly quiet and peaceful the setting was considering the location. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we’d happily return. A well deserved 5 stars! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed staying in the heart of Keswick in this very comfortable and spacious home.

It had everything we needed. The bedrooms all had comfortable beds and the living area was very warm and welcoming with a large TV and comfy sofas. I particularly liked the large bath- great for a soak after a long hike. It was really handy to be so close to shops and restaurants and also just a short walking distance to Lake Derwent. We enjoyed our trip to the local cinema and visiting some beautiful places in the Lake District. Our host was very helpful. Its a 5 star from us. We had a wonderful time! Thank you. We have just returned from a wonderful week's holiday in Keswick.

Baystones was ideal for 6 adults, with 3 double bedrooms (one ensuite) with comfortable beds (very important) and a large bathroom plus a downstairs toilet. The lounge was a good size and we all fitted comfortably round the table when we chose to eat in. We were all impressed by the large windows that let in the natural light and framed impressive views of the fells. We enjoyed good weather for the time of the year, but were thankful for the central heating in the mornings and evenings, which warmed the house nicely. There was also plenty to keep us occupied if we chose to stay in with board games and a large screen TV supplied. The location was perfect with restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, market and cinema all within easy walking distance. Most importantly the beautiful lake of Derwentwater is only a 10 minute walk away where you can enjoy a boat trip to various locations around the lake or enjoy the many walking trails. We'll definitely be booking again!
