What guests are saying
It's a great little property and had everything that we needed.
The location is amazing as it's right in the center of Ambleside and literally a few minutes' walk from everything that you could need. The photographs on the website are very accurate and the rooms were exactly as I expected them to be and kitted out with all you could need. The second floor bedroom is quite high and we had to make sure that we were holding on to the bannister. An older member of our party stayed on the floor below as it was too much for them to get up the stairs.
Our short stay was marred by the constantly dripping kitchen tap, which was immensely annoying as the downstairs living area is open plan.
Bathrooms would benefit from blinds. A good central location and we were lucky to get parking near the property one day.
Old Stones Cottage is a lovely place to stay.
Conveniently situated in the centre of Ambleside it makes a very good base. There was everything we could have possibly needed for cooking in the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again!
