The Hen House

After arriving no milk sugar coffee and only two t bags,only a small brush and dustpan.

Phoned owner who said the nearest shop for milk was 10 minutes away although she only lived 2 minutes away so over an hour later arrived back. Two chairs broken. Very disillusioned, as we have been to sykes cottages before and always on arrival milk tea and sugar.

What a lovely place to stay for a week.

We were catching up with family we hadn't seen in years. The garden was secure so the dogs could play without the risk of running away. It was a little small for our family with 2 teenage boys but that was an oversight on my behalf. The area was lovely and quiet and the other guests who were there staying were lovely and friendly also. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great property, excellent location but lovely and peaceful.

Close to nearby attractions and safe and secure location. Everything we needed available in the cottage and will definitely love to stay again. Annette and Roy very helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hen House.

We loved watching the horses in the field at the front, and the sheep in the rear field. It is a very clean and well-equipped chalet, in a quiet area, in a convenient location. Annette was very helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be returning.

Stayed there before on a number of occasions always had lovely stay, nice quiet area yet not to far for all amenities in the area.

The Hen House was warm, clean and comfortable.

It had all the facilities we wanted and is well positioned for trips to Blackpool, Cleveleys, Fleetwood and Poulton. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.

We were in Foxes den last year and both are fabulous. So secure and quite and extremely comfortable. Our little dog loved it as she could run around safely and had a holiday romance with another visitor. The owners are helpful but not in your face. The nursery closed at 4 so not disruptive at all. Fabulous restaurant in garden centre across the road to save cooking meals. We will be back

Property is very warm, secure and comfortable and also an excellent base for visiting relatives who live in the area . Roy and Annette were available to help with any small concerns we had and I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here .

Clean, well equipped, great area quiet secure , perfect for visiting the area. Just the couch wasnt comfy for me . And listing advertised king size bed but was double. Will go back .

The only complaint was the chap that took the booking n the phone.

Trying to pressure me as I didn’t want insurance. He said as the call is recorded if I had to cancel due to a pending spine operation for my wife we wold not get a refund unless I took out the insurance. Pressure sales by a untrained member of staff. The Cottage was fantastic but I will never book with Sykes Cottages again.

A beautiful cottage.

We spent a wonderful week at the end of July 22 in the Hen House and would not hesitate in recommending this property.

The accommodation was attractive, clean and comfortable, and spacious enough for 4 adults. The site is in a quiet yet convenient location for exploring Lancashire and we hope to return very soon.

Excellent quality accommodation in a beautiful rural setting with plenty of parking space.

The hosts were very attentive with every need catered for. Highly recommended, we will be visiting again.

lovely and quiet break, next door to the garden centre so spent lots of pennies lol, great for shopping in Cleveleys, and surrounding areas, only 6 miles from Blackpool and some great car boot sales close at hand.

The Hen House was perfect.

Very homely, comfortable and welcoming. Local to Cleveleys but in a quiet location and lovely outlook. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for those wishing to cook. A nice surprise was the plant nursery attached as we were able to take some beautiful hanging baskets home too! Looking forward to our next visit. Helen & Steve

would be better if on your instructions to the cottages you would put the address as bramble holiday cottages then it would be easy to find otherwise fab hosts and very clean and great for our dog

Overall stay was great, accommodation wasn’t what expected as the cottages are much smaller.

The man was really helpful and lovely, however the woman wasn’t very professional and didn’t have a great attitude towards us. The problem we had then got resolved. The pictures online are very misleading but come to an agreement we had an extra cottage to make up for the inconvenience.

This was an extremely last minute booking, first of all thankyou to the lovely lady from sykes who was so helpful and patient.

We was not disappointed what a hidden gem ! Cosy,comfy, quirky and spotlessly clean, perfect outdoor space for our elderly dog! The owner was on hand and was so nice checking we was okay , And we was we had a lovely relaxing break very peaceful! We would definitely stay again it was perfect for a little getaway for us and not too far away.

We had the most restful week despite rainy weather.

When the sun came out we were very comfortable in the garden with garden chairs and peaceful surrounding. just a quick suggestion you may benefit from reducing number of furniture in the lounge.

It's a little haven fantastic hosts

This holiday let was as described, comfortable and clean.

Beds and bedroom of a good size . Fine for a mature family but not so good for a young family with young children. Ideally located for visits to Blackpool-bucket and spade holiday , as well a local town and beach.Busy roads in and out of the area. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, very pleasant people who went out of their way to give you a great holiday.

Very good accommodation with parking patio area and garden area shared with chairs , seating and table shared with other cottages .

Hen house was perfect for our trip.

The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and had everything we needed. They have really thought about everything and the little details, like games and washing up liquid, made our stay easy and enjoyable. We used it over a few stormy, wet days so it was great to return to a warm and comfortable ‘home from home’ after our trips out. It has a good outside space, which was perfect for our dog and ample parking too. Annette and Ray were helpful, friendly and easy to contact. We would definitely recommend!

This was the ideal holiday for us as we are all pensioners and found the perfect place quiet and relaxing and the cottage was like a home from home would definitely recommend to family and friends

The Hen House was Amazing it had the comforts of home and the owners were great hosts.

As soon as we arrived they greeted us offered MILK for tea and gave us information of the local area and sights. The Hen House was comfy and had everything you could need the owner had an issue with the washing machine in our cottage but gave us a key to the other cottage to use this one and even offered for us to use her own. A wonderful holiday and a wonderful setting with helpful owners and a great patio to enjoy the weather.

The Hen House is in a good position with nice surroundings and plenty of outside space.

The cottage is well equipped with caring owners a very nice place to stay.
