If your looking for a country retreat then this lovely old cottage is for you.

It's exactly what it says it is, a lovely old traditional country cottage with bags of charm. It's interior just adds to its character and its surroundings are ideal if you want peace and quiet away from it all. We stayed here for a week there's everything you need with plenty of kitchen cooking equipment. We had 2 large dogs with us so the enclosed garden was ideal especially as there are a few free roaming farm dogs. We also had sheep, goats, chickens and horses right over looking the back garden which also has a lovely big hot tub. The local walks are idyllic. We walked the loop walk recommended in the guest book and we walked to the local village pub and enjoyed a drink with the locals and a few games of pool. Would definitely recommend.

From arrival, our hosts were great, very welcoming and quickly replaced a lightbulb that had gone out when raised it.

The views were amazing and even though there’s a camp on site we couldn’t see or hear anything from a beautiful enclosed garden. Hot tub was a bonus, if you don’t mind being watched by the horses in the neighbouring field. Perfect location to visit numerous places most in reach within 30/40 minutes. Walks available from the door. Really friendly hosts and their goats and dogs visited daily. Cockerel sang out each morning- no need for an alarm. Pigs were a pleasure to feed the fallen apples from the tree in the front, and being allowed to pick good apples to eat was welcome- best apples I’ve ever eaten! So juicy. Important to remember it’s 400 year old cottage so a few creaks and a few cobwebs to be expected - will definitely return.

Second time staying here for 7 nights, we loved it.

Spacious garden for the dog and kids, fire pit to relax on an evening, hot tub well maintained and perfect for adults and kids. We loved it here, owners very welcoming and plenty of walks or things to to by driving. Plenty room in the kitchen to cook meals and sit together, and the sitting room was very homely to relax either afternoon or evening. Thank you Louise for yet another excellent week
