Wonderful holiday cottage in a welcoming village set within a beautiful part of the Lake District.
This lovely house is the perfect getaway at an amazing price!
The rooms are all very spacious but feel cosy at the same time. The bath is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the local walking trails. We have stayed here twice now and wold happily make it out annual getaway! Accuracy: the property comes with no WiFi and little to no signal in the area which isn't disclosed on the website. And the rooms are actually 2 doubles, and a family room of 4 single beds, but they are easily rearranged. The only downsides are the signal, and also the clock tower that chimes every hour including at night, so if you are a light sleeper I would recommend taking the back bedroom, but neither of these are to do with the owner and do not take away from how lovely the property is.
The property was lovely.
It’s was so spacious and on first look we we’re spoilt for choice on rooms and bedrooms. The kids loved it!…The place is so full history and tradition, it was amazing. The only thing I would say that would bring it up to 5 stars would be WiFi which I missed on choosing this gorgeous property. Having two kids created a bit of a nightmare but that’s my fault for not checking. It had such a cosy feel yet it remained cool in the hot weather. Would definitely stay again. The square was lovely and pubs were great!!
