Shorefields One

Absolutely fantastic as usual.

welcome pack is the best we ever get. The site, the owners and wider family very friendly and helpful. Could not fault our stay at all

Nice & clean & had everything we needed with a Great welcome pack .

Lovely and peaceful and very dog friendly. People on the site are very friendly & give great advice where to go or visit.. Nice ideal shop on site for the essentials.( as lovely coffee ) carnt wait to go back.

Clean and tidy , everything you need for a short break

A lovely apartment in a beautiful area lots of wildlife cows on the beach roaming naturally rabbits scurrying about excellent habitat for wildlife.

The owner was very helpful and kind sorting out tv giving us another one. Because of the heatwave it was extremely hot in apartment even though owner kindly placed 2 fans luckily we also took our own we needed it. Had a wonderful stay. The photos showed a Juliet balcony but had been changed to a window with large opening so the description wasn't quite right but still very nice and relaxing stay

Fabulous location, beautiful view from bed room window, well equpt and bonus of a welcome basket, would highly recommend

would like to say enjoyed our stay recommended to any one to go

Had a wonderful relaxing week here.

Clean, comfortable & stunning views over the bay. Helpfull friendly owners & a lovely welcome basket. Will definitely return in the future.

IT WAS IMACULATE THE BEDWAS VERY COMFY the only thing wrong was the tv wasnt the best the reception kept dropping but on the whole we reallly enjoyed our stay and will definatly be back

Loved the welcome hamper and little extras like fresh milk and sugar.

Lovely and peaceful and the view from the bedroom, especially the sunset, was wonderful. Also nice just watching the birds. Very comfy bed. The apartment is above the shop, which was closed until March, so not sure how quiet it would be when open. I took my own little table and folding chair and am glad I did because I found the countertop and bar stools a bit high to eat and work from. Apartment had all equipment needed to cook meals and thankfully a cafetiere. Had a laugh trying to figure out how to use the shower (wasn't wearing my glasses). Very reasonably priced too. Will be back.

Very much enjoyed our stay a shorefields one, a very cozy apartment that has a fantastic view from the bedroom window it was lovely and quiet and perfect getaway

Fabulous apartment.

Spotlessly clean and the owners had though of everything you could possibly need and more beside as well as the welcome pack that was amazing. Location spot on and handy for visiting lots of interesting places. Lovely walks along the beach and amazing sunsets from the apartment. Friendly helpful owners.

A fantastic location on the coast and very helpful owner on site.

It was a great quiet location from which there were nearby walks along the coast and the nature reserve at Heysham. If you like busier places then it’s not far to Morecombe, Lancaster and even Blackpool!

My only issue with Sykes is no customer service line to call.

Shorefields is a lovely place and would go again.

The property was spotless clean.

The owners were very nice too would definitely go again

Stayed at Shorefields for 5 nights and wish we had stayed longer.

Spacious one bed apartment is very clean tidy well equipped. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. We felt at home the minute we walked through the door. Great for dogs with beach walks on the doorstep for as far as the eye could see. Sunsets amazing. Very friendly hosts. Loved, loved loved it ❤️

A perfect place to relax or explore the surrounding area and lakes.

Very friendly host, the welcoming pack 1st class, Thank you. Would recommend.

Shorefields one is a comfortable and well maintained flat with a beautiful outlook.

The flat is comfortably furnished and very clean and the shower is lovely. One minor point in the flat, the bar stools are too high in relation to the height of the breakfast bar to comfortably sit at it to eat meals. Some lower ones / chair style stools would work better. The welcome hamper and toiletries were a lovely touch. The shop under the flat is handy and serves take-away coffees that can be enjoyed sitting on the seats outside, whilst enjoying the views across the sands. Having walked around, the whole site is very clean and well maintained and the owners are friendly and helpful. This holiday would easily have been at least 4 stars but for one factor that detracted a bit from the experience for me. I booked the holiday with the idea of going out on walks / trips locally and in the afternoon, sitting in the bedroom or in the seating area outside of the shop, and reading whilst enjoying the views. I was particularly looking forward to that peaceful getting away from it vibe. Unfortunately, each afternoon for 2-3 hours the seating area filled up with people from the site, drinking and socialising. I chatted to a couple of people one day and would note that they were absolutely lovely and I would have felt very welcome to get a drink from the shop and stay chatting. It just wasn’t what I was looking for on the holiday. As the area is just below the bedroom window, the noise (like being above a lively pub garden), meant I couldn’t use the room or seating area as planned in the afternoon. (It always cleared by 7pm and the evenings were very peaceful). I think this was a factor of it being July and very warm. For this reason I wouldn’t book again at this time of year but I would for an autumn or winter break, as it is a lovely site.

Lovely little place with everything you need Welcome basket is the biggest Iv seen

We reasonably enjoyed our stay but firstly, it states the accommodation has a washing machine.

Unfortunately, it does not. There is a small launderette at the end of the block with just ONE washing machine for the whole site which resulted in long waits to get washing done. I think it needs to be made clear this is the case. Having said that, the views were outstanding. We brought our own folding table and chairs which we put against the window. The shop underneath was very reasonably priced and came in handy. A very relaxing stay though all in all and loved walking on the beach with our Patchie. Just another point, the seating area below the apartment does get busy when the sun is shining but that didn't bother us much.

Beautiful place to stay such lovely places to walk around the area half moon bay was beautiful accommodation was lovely and clean and just perfect for us to stay Welcome basket is such a nice touch.

Having the shop downstairs was great the wine was so handy and the cans etc are a very reasonably priced Looking forward to booking up again would recommend staying here

This is a clean relaxing apartment and comes in as the best place we have stay , the owners have thought of everything , towel for dog paws is a great idea .

Thank you for the welcome pack plus the dog toy . We will be making a return visit soon . Thank you

We would like to thank the owners of Shorefields One, for the great welcome basket, it was really appreciated.

The apartment is very cosy & warm, you have a great view from the bedroom window of the sea. We visited Morecambe, The Midland Hotel, free parking & a fantastic view, also Bolton-le-Sands, The Red Farm Cafe. Lots of walks on the Sands, our little Shitzu loved it. We definitely will stay again. My only very small point would be to offer a fold up table & chairs for two, it’s not always comfortable to sit at the breakfast bar for everyone. Thank you again to the owners, see you again soon.

Property is in the middle of nowhere, it looked like no-one had stayed there for a while kitchen equipment was dirty had to clean old food off sauce pans and knifes and forks top of kitchen cupboards had thick grease on them , shame because Property was very spacious, not sure about heater fan in bathroom.

Lovely clean apartment, nice and cosy with the heating on preset times, never felt it was not warm enough.

Double bed was very comfortable with lovely views over the bay. Kitchen had everything you could need and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Our dog loved the beach, although more pebbles than sand. We didn't venture further out than the high water line but still enjoyed the walks. Would be more than happy to return or recommend the apartment.

Lovely apartment, excellent facilities and beautiful view.

Great walks along the beach. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and a great surprise. The adjoining caravan park is very quiet.

FANTASTIC holiday apartment, second visit hope to go again.

Peaceful off the beaten track. Owners very friendly and helpful

The property is fully equipped and in a quiet location.

The view from the bedroom is beautiful. The only thing I would suggest is a better mattress but apart from that we couldn't fault it. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of room and little touches like towels to dry her. If we are going to Morecambe again we would certainly try to book here. Highly recommended!

Lovely place to use as a base for visiting Heysham and Morecambe.

Very comfortable property and generous welcome basket. Couple of points...don't expect to see much of the sea. Only saw it in once at 4am! Walking on the beach is very slippy and we all got filthy! The dogs loved it! Outside the main window in the apartment is a seating area which gets very busy from midday ish to around 5pm. The people are very friendly and just having a good time, but it does get noisy. If anyone smokes out there, the smell does come into the apartment unfortunately. It all didn't bother us but is worth noting. We had a lovely weekend and especially liked Heysham. But we love to paddle in the sea so will probably not revisit this coastline.

If you like somthing quieter and a bit different with stunning views from the bedroom window then this is the place.

Other reviewers have gone into detail and they are spot on so stupid to repeat them all. The beach is dog heaven. Be prepared to walk for miles along sands and marshes, but take suitable footwear and protection, it can be muddy walking. For some strange reason the dog wash hose had gone awol, could still get the dog clean at the tap but a hose would be much better. We'll be back ...

They had thought of everything home from home comfortable and a relaxing place to be .

Welcome pack very nice touch , Great place for beach walks with dogs even provided towels to wipe dogs Sandy paws . Great time thank you x

The apartment is large and has everything you need for self catering.

I would like to see the microwave replaced as it wasn’t very hygienic due to rust. Loved the views from the bedroom window. Welcome basket was a nice touch. Shop directly underneath the apartment which stocked essentials. Overall I did enjoy my stay and would recommend to family and friends.

Fantastic apartment very comfortable and clean The welcome pack was a lovely touch

The apartment was very nice everything you would need even left a welcome pack, unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short due to my partner taking ill,

Really well appointed flat.

Loveland warm with a great view. The shop is really handy for basic food and drinks Really friendly people. We definitely recommend it and would go again.

Apartment lovely.

Just sit in a chair facing the sea indoors and not getting wet.

Shorefields one was an excellent place for a quiet, much-needed break.

You walk through the door, and look out on the never-ending sea and the shore and the sky and all problems seem to disappear. If you’re feeling fit and have a decent pair of boots, the the shore walks are interesting - birds, plants, maiden’s purses, people to talk to, and their dogs to admire. But if you just want to sit and watch from an armchair, that’s good, too. Shorefields as a place to stay is comfortable and clean, and well -equipped. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook, and if you don’t there is plenty on offer in nearby Morecambe. The Midland is a great venue, and doesn’t break the bank if you’re after a meal out. If you’re

Lovely apparment, beautiful view from bedroom.

Well equiped did not find anything that we needed. Even having a pencil avaiable just right for doing puzzels. Ideal set up for Sam the dog. Good place to explore the area from.

excellent apartment , well possitioned with everything youll need.

amazing views from the bedroom.

Well appointed and quite large apartment with great view of the Shoulder of Lune sands.

At low tide Sam, our Greyhound Lurcher could run for miles at top speed on the massive and generally empty beach very flat sands. Host is very friendly and also runs the on-site shop, with a sitting area outside facing the beach for ice's, drinks and snacks. A great week in a great location.

Great place nice owners very helpful.

Site is full of nice people who include you in great fun. Dogs loved it on the beach lots of things to see. Thank you. Welcome pack very nice.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorefields.

Very comfortable apartment with lovely fluffy towels and an excellent welcome pack. Dog friendly beach with amazing sunsets. A perfect place to unwind.

We enjoyed our stay, it was clean and comfy, we had a wonderful welcome pack waiting for us.

Fabulous views from the bedroom, wonderful walks along the beach, and within a short drive we could reach Heysham, a lovely area, with the church and ruined chapel, and an easy walk to Morecambe from Heysham.

Lovely apartment, one of the best we have stayed in.

There was also a wonderful welcome pack on our arrival. Good view from the bedroom over the beach and to enjoy the sunset. Perfect place to walk our beagle who was fascinated by the numerous rabbits! Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

As always an amazing relaxing stay.

Even with the storms and windy weather the apartment has everything you need and plenty of facilities to entertain. The shop and mini bar are a great addition. A perfect holiday set up. Can't wait to visit again.

Never had a great quiet like it straight from the bedroom looking out to the sand and sea love to be there soon

Wonderful apartment, so clean everything you could want.

Most generous welcome pack ever. View over the sea is second to none, spent most of our time in the bedroom with two lovely chairs ,tv, and sea view. We hope to go back

Our stay was comfortable great clean place with all you need in the property the view from the bedroom window is amazing the long beach and marsh walks with our 2 pomeranians were great dogs loved every minute of the dayes and nights out we took many pics and videos of our walks together good memories thanks angie and tony .

Excellent.

Lovely welcome basket. Gorgeous apartment, beautiful view from bedroom window. Everything you want from a holiday. Site well well maintained and owners very helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back. Thank you. Xxx

So easy to book.

Reasonably priced. Couldn't be nearer to the sea! A beautiful flat with massive rooms for 2adults and 2 dogs. Excellent facilities. Every need thought of including old towels and a place for muddy wellies and dogs to clean off. We spent our 43rd wedding anniversary here and will return. Really easy base for The Lake District as well as the coast. Thank you to the lovely owners.

The cottage was spacious comfortable well stocked immaculately clean a very nice welcome basket.

Great views over the bay. Good value break good parking

We had a lovely break in your beautiful apartment, it's bigger than it looks on photos and the view is amazing, the apartment is very warm and cosy , thankyou from Linda, Mick and Harry and Jimmy our 2 jack Russell who loved watching the rabbits and birds through the window .

On arrival we were greeted with a foul smell in the kitchen.

On inspection we discovered a dried spillage that seemed to have been there for some time. We had to clean the fridge before we could put out food away. We also had to clean the cutlery drawer and its contents as it was sticky and greasy. The pans especially the frying pan was dirty with stuck on food. As the keys are stored in a combination key pad we didn’t even know the owners were on site to deal with this issue until we had cleaned up the mess and read the manual. By this time the clean up had taken place. We did send the owners one of the photographs we had taken to show them. We stay with Sykes regularly and this has never happened before. We rang the owners the following day with a heater query as the apartment was cold due to the heaters being on a timer. We mentioned the smell and the spillage and they blamed it on the previous occupants. But the fact that they never checked the kitchen area before we arrived is not the previous occupants fault. This should have been done before we arrived for our stay. The aerial connection on the TV was poor and intermittent so watching a programme from start to finish was impossible. When we messaged the owners for advice they did not respond to help us with a solution.

We loved staying at Shorrfields One.

The Apartment was clean and had everything required. Our host left us a welcome basket which was welcomed. The views were fantastic, our dogs loved the runs on the sprawling beach. As a couple with energetic dogs this place was ideal. We would stay again.

The apartment was clean and well equipped.

The little extras like the towel at the entrance to wipe your dogs muddy feet was a nice touch. Also the bottle of wine and cookies.

More than we expected.

Everything you needed, the basket of goodies was a real surprise and delicious

Accommodation was of a very good standard, all our comforts and security was provided.

A welcome pack was waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived which was lovely and toiletries in the bathroom even towels and hairdryer. Parking in front of the building and an area just inside the outside door to clean dogs and leave muddy shoes.

We loved the apartment.

It had everything we needed, plus thoughtful additions ( I really enjoyed one of your books ) it was comfortable and the view was stunning ( Charlie Sid - the dog was a very big fan of the huge windows !) The shower is a winner ! The welcome basket was much appreciated. The location was so peaceful and all in all a perfect location to wind down in.

The welcome basket of goodies is appreciated especially the dog biscuits.

The owner left a fan for the heatwave and it was needed and again welcomed by the dog. The apartment is clean, bright, full of everything you need. The residents are all friendly and the on site pizza/burger truck was a great treat for the weekend. This is a wonderfully quiet area to visit but also close enough to Morecambe, Lancaster and Sunderland point that you can explore without having to go far. I can’t wait to return next season. Only issue is Wi-Fi is hit and miss but I love to disconnect here, just mentioning in case it’s an issue for anyone.

Lovely apartment.

Spacious and clean. All the facilities you need. Thanks for the Welcome Pack it was really appreciated. Fantastic view of the beach and sea.

Bright, comfortable and extremely spacious apartment - exactly as shown in the listing.

We needed "time out" and Shorefields One was perfect for relaxing, whether reading by the picture window with views of the bay or enjoying lovely walks, either locally or just over the border in Cumbria and Yorkshire!

First class accommodation.

A less firm mattress would have made it excellent

Well maintained apartment with beautiful views of Morecambe Bay

It’s a beautiful place, we will book again, can’t say any more, idea for explaining the surrounding countryside

The mattress was very hard for us but we understand you can’t please everyone with these things.

The only other thing would be a hand held vacuum for people like us who have a hairy dog. We like to leave the place clean when we leave. The apartment is lovely, very well placed for some lovely walks.

The apartment was spotless.

Everything we could possibly need was provided. Fantastic shower. View of the area was lovely Brilliant welcome basket . Only downside for me personally was I found the mattress on the bed to be a bit hard. Everything else was amazing

Clean, comfortable, warm accommodation with lovely views from the large bedroom window.

Everything we needed for a restful week with our puppy. Lots of interest nearby for a trip out. X

I noticed that the photos are old.

There is no longer a balcony with double doors in the bedroom. That saying, the window in its place is fine. Great views from the bedroom over the bay & the salt marshes. Perfectly placed for trips out to Morecambe & Lancaster. The apartment was spacious & light. Because of the angle of the roof, there are a couple of low spots to watch out for. Very warm, comfortable & I'm sure I'll be back. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise as I'd already let the owners know that I am vegan, & so I wasn't expecting one. Owners were on hand if I needed anything, but I didn't. Fantastic few days away for some much needed me time.

What a lovely apartment.

Very spacious and clean. Perfect location on the beach with stunning views and sunsets. Ideal for exploring the surrounding area.

Wonderful property

WiFi is poor.

we had a wonderful week in this very pleasant apartment with a beautiful view over the bay.

The accommodation was well maintained, nice and warm despite very cold windy weather and we are very tempted to book again especially if we need some R and R. Thank you for letting us stay

Really comfortable, a real home from home.

Loved the welcome hamper. The large window was just fabulous to watch the sea and the ships. Hubby now has a shipping app on his phone!

A well maintained apartment with all the facilities you might require.

It is warm and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches like books, videos and puzzles for those less hospitable days. There is a welcome pack when you arrive with all the essentials and a treat or two. The view from the bedroom is very beautiful and the sunset is stunning.

The apartment was lovely and it had everything we needed.

There was plenty to do and I will definitely recommend it to family and friends. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise.

Great holiday, at shore fields one, would definitely return again, flat spotless, comfortable.

Cosy, great walks , and views, had some good days out & shopping trips, I would recommend shorefieldsone , we had a nice chill , everything in the flat you would need on your stay, plus a welcome basket, much appreciated.

Even though the apartment has only one bedroom it is very spacious.

The kitchen-diner and the bathroom were lovely. The apartment is light, airy and warm. The view over the sea was great. The only problem was that the apartment is in the roof-space so there are sloping ceilings - you have mind your head in parts! The apartment makes a good base to explore the area.

We really enjoyed our few days holiday, The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, and the little welcome basket was a lovely surprise.

The apartment was bill would of been even better if had a balcony but wont stop us coming back.

Exceptional apartment.

Was a fantastic location and plenty to do round about. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the gift basket was a lovely touch. Will definitely be back.

The apartment was amazing and in an excellent location especially with a puppy and our older pooch.

Staying right beside the beach was brilliant and perfect for daily walks. The apartment was bigger than expected so the photographs do not do it justice. If you're wanting pure quietness... then just be mindful there is a shop/bar underneath the apartment with a garden and with the warm weather - windows open, people drinking outside it can be a little noisy early evening.

Loved it all!

Fabulous break and apartment well equipped.

Very clean spacious apartment with the added bonus of a lovely welcome basket full of goodies.

I don’t want to criticise anything but one thing I would change is either install air conditioning or replace the heaters with ones that do hot and cold as we are experiencing some hot weather nowadays, but glad there was a fan there because it was needed. Other than that, we had a fab time

Hooks in bathroom.

The location could not be better

Fantastic week in Heysham.

We had a lovely time! The apartment was beautifully clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We visited some lovely places and it was nice to come back here to relax and enjoy the sunset from the large bedroom window. It was also our lovely Cockapoo’s first holiday and first time to the beach! She loved it - as did we! The owners were very nice and the welcome pack was a lovely gesture and much appreciated.

TAKE PLENTY OF TOWELS FOR DRYING THE DOGS, AS THEY WILL WANT TO BE ON THE BEACH / SEA, ALL THE TIME.

The apartment far out reached our expectations.

The welcome and friendlyness of the owners was brilliant. The apartment was fitted out to a very high standard and had everything you might need on your stay. The situation right above the beach with stunning views was perfect and especially so if like us you have dogs with you. The location is excellent whether you want to just stay put and gaze out of the widow, if you want to walk the marshes and the beach are there to explore, by car lancaster & Morecambe are very easily reached & Haysham has all you need with shops for your stay local butcher's is a must.

The location of the apartment was fabulous.

This was the first time our puppy Nala had been to the beach, and I can definitely say it wont be the last! The apartment had everything and more that you required. The welcome basket was very thoughtful, and was enjoyed by myself, husband and puppy.

Just came back from a 2 day break at this Flat .

"Shorefields" Very clean inside and well furnished. However, slanted ceilings created problems and bashed heads several times. Nice view from Bedroom however, from at least noon to 8pm everyday the loudest drinking area below the bedroom with the most disgusting language and lewd remarks from beer swilling drinkers who had been purchasing booze from the store underneath the flat during all that time. No social distancing and certainly no pub license. Alternative was to sit in the lounge that faced a campsite and constant flow of people to the store, and had no opening window. Absolutely furious that none of this was mentioned in the booking? What is wrong with you people aren't you supposed to go out and check these owners properties. Please refund our money so we can escape to somewhere to recover. Ann & John Ford - We Have been hanging on your phone line for 20 mins so far????

Apartment was beautiful, welcome basket was unexpected but gratefully received, views from the bedroom amazing.

Peaceful and relaxing break

The bed was very low , as someone in there 70s it can be a bit awkward and being in a corner roof we got a sore head once or twice , but overall a good apartment with a fantastic view from the bedroom of the sea

Very comfortable apartment and friendly hosts.

There are 17 steps up to the apartment so mobility could be an issue. Great base to explore the Lakes and North Lancashire. Hosts provided a lovely welcome pack. Would highly recommend.

Amazing!

Team on site went over and beyond to make us feel welcome. Welcome pack for all was an amazing extra touch. Lovely apartment and spotless throughout. For our 1st Sykes experience we have come away planning when we can book our next visit.

Shorefields 1 was a lovely little apartment.

Very clean and well furnished and equipped throughout. Owners very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views across the bay from bedroom. Loved the welcome pack on arrival as did the dogs.

Absolutely wonderful flat to stay in.

Everything was supplied right down to toilet rolls. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We are hoping to revisit next year. 5 +++++++

Accommodation was clean and comfortable on a very friendly site, ideal for taking dog for long walks on coast and less than an hour from the Lake District

The hosts were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us.

Welcome pack was a lovely touch with treats for the dogs as well as myself.appartment was very luxurious and comfortable.will definitely return.

Great location and appartment much bigger than the pictures, residents of park very friendly and welcoming.

Apartment light, bright and airy.

Very well equipped with everything you could want and need.

Didn’t want to leave - a beautiful and spacious apartment with a fabulous view of the sea and amazing sunsets.

The kitchen is fully equipped and a lovely welcome/starter pack to make you feel at home. We made good use of the cooking facilities. The bedroom is huge - we are used to a king size bed and the room could easily take one. Felt at home from the off and will surely return! There is a coin operated washing machine next to the shop and a meeting place to have drinks and share good times. The site has a friendly feel and everyone waves and says hello. Pat was very helpful/friendly and on hand if you need anything. We visited beautiful little villages close by. You are not far if you want to visit Morcambe or go a bit further to the Lake District but there are lots of walks/coastal paths and places to explore and discover within walking distance. The is another apartment right nextdoor is you have a bigger party. Get booking
