Following my emailed feedback directly to Sykes, I felt that this cottage was a 'dogs tolerated' rather than 'dog friendly' given the amount of requests (rules) that greeted us & our 2 dogs.

It also wasn't clear that there is no access to the garden directly from the house; it is out of the back door, where there are other houses/parking, a sharp left and up some steps. It's not a case of open a door to the garden to let dogs do what they need. It also wasn't secure, so couldn't let our dogs off lead. Aside from that, the location is good to get to The Lakes/West Yorks Dales. There's also car charging at nearby Cartmel. Grizedale is well worth a visit.

The cottage was very nice, clean, and well maintained and, of course, beautiful.

It comfortably accommodated our entire group, and we would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity. The customer service and support were also amazing, especially when we couldn’t find the key box. They were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommended!

Excellent accommodation with all the facilities required inside - very carefully thought out.

Close proximity to Cartmel with beautiful walks in the area. We were a family - 4 couples & a dog & had an amazing time Disappointing to see that the Engine Inn pub literally across the road had closed a month prior to our arrival & that Sykes did not make us aware
