What guests are saying
It was a lovely place we enjoyed this quiet peaceful time there.
And the bread and cookies that were left for us were gorgeous.
When we first walked into the property there was a nice feeling of it being somewhere worth staying and we had initially considered revisiting in October.
This all however changed as time went on. The single bed in the downstairs bedroom was very uncomfortable, oil was regularly dripping onto the induction hob from the extractor hood which was disgusting, the kettle was full of limescale, most of the bowls and plates were chipped and damaged, while neither of us could get a mobile phone signal inside the property and we were on two different networks which became increasingly frustrating. The worst issues however were the fact that two spaniel puppies next door kept barking and howling with the female neighbour being particularly rude and hostile while the patio area outside is very inaccurately described in the listing. In fact if an up to date photo had been included of it then I very much doubt that we would have bothered making our booking in the first place. It was a grim and bleak large flagged area with weeds and old tired garden furniture scattered about and there was nothing inviting about the area to make it worth spending any time outside at all. It certainly needs an update to make the reality match its currently wholly inaccurate description of "a superb private patio area" - that it most definitely is not!
Nice cottage lovely location.
Cottage clean and comfortable (outside sitting out area could do with updating). Village pub was well worth a visit, friendly and good food. Overall enjoyed our stay
