This holiday home is set in the heart of the National Park, perfect for exploring the wonderful Lake District by car or bus, with a wide choice of gorgeous and acclaimed walking trails available right from the doorstep, making this perfect for a family or a group of couples seeking outdoor adventure.
Enter into the elegant lounge and admire the lovely coordinated fabrics, with the room enjoying an abundance of natural light from the windows and the full-height double glass doors which lead out onto the patio.

Find a welcoming dining area to be the perfect spot for your delicious home-cooked feasts, well placed between the exquisitely appointed lounge and the contemporary kitchen, with the latter being home to an excellent array of appliances to make use of in your culinary endeavours, alongside some handy laundry facilities including both a tumble dryer and a washing machine.
After a long day of excitement, wind down within one of the three bedrooms, choosing from a king-size, a double and a single bedroom which also boasts a trundle bed beneath, so it can be a twin on request to suit your group!
Two bathrooms serve this immaculate property, with a shower room and a bathroom to get ready in for your day of adventure.
Take a fifteen-minute walk to the centre of Ambleside to enjoy some retail therapy at the independent shops and enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many excellent restaurants, cafés and pubs.
Ambleside’s historic Roman Fort dating back to the 2nd century can be found near the edge of Lake Windermere, whilst the former Roman settlement of Borrans Park makes a great place for a picnic with stunning lake views.
Offering a great idea for a rainy day is Ambleside Climbing Wall, whilst heading down to the ferry landing in Waterhead means you can hop on a Lakes cruise and discover even more attractions in the nearby towns; head to Bowness-on-Windermere for The World of Beatrix Potter or travel to Lakeside for the Lakes Aquarium.
Find plenty to do in the Lake District on your relaxing retreat to Swirl How.

A very clean and comfortable bungalow.
Everything you needed for your stay was provided, a really lovely place to stay PERFECT.
Overall the property is great.
Excellent equipment, just a few niggles. No measuring jug or whisk in an otherwise perfect kitchen. The patio door is difficult to lock and think the handle needs replacing. The fire doors which I understand are heavy and noisy. The bedroom with the trundle bed was asked to be made up and on arrival, it wasn't so had to find the bedding and the hassle of putting it together. However when it was up, there is literally no room in the bedroom and bunk beds or sell as sleeps 5 would be much better. The building work over the road meant it was noisy from 7.30am onwards, not what I was needing after recuperating from illness and a stressful job
After a long drive to get there, it was so nice to have an exceptionally clean and comfortable property waiting for us.
Previous comments by others highlighted the driveawy being "difficult" but we found that, as long as you followed the guidance issued by the owners, there is not a problem. Lovely views to the rear of the property and very convenient for access to Ambleside.
