On this floor are two restful bedrooms: one with a king-size bed, the other a snug single, both decorated in soft, neutral tones with lovely bedside furnishings and ample storage.
Climb to the third floor and discover a tranquil king-size suite with an ensuite bathroom and panoramic views stretching across the village to the mountains beyond.
A day bed with a pull-out trundle adds flexibility, making it perfect for families or additional guests.

And for an extra special touch, consider an evening drink under the wisteria at one of the local inns or hidden garden spots in the village, an idyllic way to wind down after a day of exploring.
Grasmere itself offers a rich tapestry of local charm, from its historic 13th-century church to artisan shops, welcoming pubs, and the scenic shores of Grasmere Lake.
And just five miles away, the lively town of Ambleside and the shores of Lake Windermere await, home to boutique shopping, excellent dining, and the iconic 17th-century Bridge House, one of the most photographed sites in the Lake District.
Whether you’re here to hike the hills, wander the lakeside, or simply relax, this cottage makes an unforgettable retreat in one of Cumbria’s most beautiful corners.

What guests are saying
Not a great 1st impression.
The floors had not been cleaned, & were very, very dirty & covered in dog hair. A dead bunch of flowers on the table. For a shoes off house, completely unacceptable. When mentioned to the host, he said he would feedback to the housekeeper. No apology, no offer to remedy it. Bathrooms, kitchen and bed linen were clean. Great central location. Comfortable beds.
Super cottage in a great setting, just needs somewhere to be able to hang wet waterproofs and put wet boots when you come in as it really did rain the week we were there .
The stylish grey cupboard for coats and shoes was too nice for wet clothes . The cottage was lovely and the views from the top floor were stunning .
Cottage of a high standard as expected.
Bed very comfortable. Settees more than acceptable but not as comfortable as at home. Small issue of intermittent switch on kitchen ceiling lighting (reported to owner). Only real issue was with Lakelovers. I emailed them with a query a few days beforehand and never received a reply. I telephoned them too and never managed to speak to anyone - the queue increased rather than decreased. Most annoying!
