A perfect place to stay.

The accommodation was spot on with everything you could possibly need. The owners were so helpful and lovely people. The accommodation is right in the middle of Grasmere which is fantastic. There is plenty to do in the village, walks, places to eat and drink, local church and Gingerbread shop. We even went to the Grasmere Village Hall to watch a play which was brilliant. The accommodation is also on the bus route where its easy to get a bus to other towns in the Lake District. I would definitely recommend Stonegarth as a place to stay.

Absolutely love Stonegarth Mews, the location is perfect only a stone throwns walk into Grasmere, it’s such a peaceful place, so clean and lovely hosts, we will be back again.

We had a lovely stay in Stonegarth Mews.

Ideally situated just off the centre of Grasmere, a few seconds walk from bus stops, a few minutes from Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum, and ideally situated for walking. Sharon and Attilio were great hosts, very welcoming. Very comfortable bed, all the facilities you could want for a weeks stay, including underfloor heating and a great power shower. I can thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay and it will certainly be on our list for a return.

We really enjoyed our stay, with great hosts and all the ingredients needed for stopping in for a cosy night or nipping out to enjoy Grasmere and the surrounding area.

The best thing is the car stayed put all week and we walked every day. Great mix of pubs and a shop in easy walking for any items required.

Stonegarth Mews was a comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean base for our Grasmere holiday.

It had everything we needed for our weeks stay, including a very comfortable bed! As others have said, it is mere moments walk from the heart of the village and all it has to offer, which includes a well stocked Co-op, pharmacy and several pubs and restaurants. Sharon and Atillio are on hand should you need help, advice or recommendations but are not at all intrusive. Would recommend.

Stonegarth is a very well equipped, clean and comfortable cottage.

It is set along a quiet lane a short walk from the shops and restaurants. There are many walks from the cottage and it’s also easy to travel to Keswick of Windermere by car or bus. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely book this accommodation in the future.

> Benefits of this property  Designated off road car parking space. Peaceful setting. Centrally located with lots of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops close by. Close to bus stop, for those who don't want to drive. Good and reliable WIFI. Open plan kitchen and living area. >Concerns with the property  The bathroom needs more lighting, very dull, the extractor fan is very noisy. The water pressure and temperature in the shower needs improving. Only 2 toilet rolls for a 7 night stay Only 1 bath/hand towel each for a 7 night stay. No soap in bathroom. No blinds in the downstairs area, so lacking privacy. Not much storage space in kitchen cupboards for our own items. No dining table, only a breakfast bar ( not ideal for everyone). Taking everything into account, we did actually have a enjoyable stay, thank you.

A warm and friendly welcome from Sharon and Attilio who are the most perfect of hosts. The Mews has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is in a great location, lovely and peaceful but just a short walk from the village. Just perfect for setting off on our walks. We only used the car once during our stay. Looking forward to our next stay

We've just returned from a lovely week in Grasmere staying at Stonegarth Mews, it's in a fantastic location for all the walking We've done, it's seconds away from everything in the village it's so quiet and peaceful absolutely amazing place to stay couldn't have any better, we're hoping to return next summer

I wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday and that is exactly what I got.

The property is tucked away down a quiet lane and yet a two minute walk and you are in the heart of the village. The property was excellent and I plan to return. I would highly recommend.

They are there if you need them otherwise they just let you get on and enjoy your holiday. The Mews is in an ideal location, tucked away down a quiet road but within easy walking distance of the Village. We loved it so much we are booked for next year !

Brilliant location in Grasmere. Walking distance to shops, pubs, places to eat. No need to use the car as so many beautiful walk right from the cottage. Sharon & Attilio were so welcoming. The property was really comfortable with a great shower and very comfy bed, it was in a good location and parking just outside the owners were lovely we will return as Grasmere is a great place with plenty walks on your doorstep.

Great to come back to the warmth from the underfloor heating after a day on the fells.Very helpful hosts who live at the side.We hope to return next year.

We had a lovely comfortable stay in Stonegarth Mews.

The only negative was only 1 bath towel per person for a week’s stay and there is no washing machine.

A gem of a find in the heart of the Lakes.

Accommodation was perfect for us two, well equipped without being cluttered.Super comfy bed, slept so well all week. Sharon ans Attillio were great hosts ensuring we had all we needed - thanks in particular for the loan of the ‘bad back’ chair to help me out! Location in the village was ideal but tucked away from the tourists.Own parking was a definite plus in the busy village. We had a wonderful week and will surely return someday.

What a fantastic place too have as a base for exploring the central lakes, bus stop and all amenities you could need on your door step but blissfully quiet.

Stonegarth Mews was clean, airy, inviting, very comfortable bed and a perfect size for 2 with very friendly and helpful owners who live onsite. Highly recommend.

Lovely comfortable cottage in very good location, minutes from the centre of Grasmere but down a very quiet private road. Sharon and Attilio very friendly and quick to provide anything you need.

Great holiday cottage in the heart of Grasmere everything you could need and warm welcome from hosts it was very comfortable with easy access to other villages and good walks, lots if good pubs and restaurants some a bit pricey .

A perfect stay in a lovely cottage in the centre of Grasmere, but still very quiet and private.

Owners were nearby and very accommodating, but also keen to ensure that we had everything we needed. WiFi connection was an issue as was its speed, but that is very much outside the control of residents and businesses in Grasmere. Private secure parking was also a major advantage especially given the popularity of the village.

Stonegarth Mews was excellent in almost every way and would fully recommend the property.

Although, situated in the centre of Grasmere was well away from the traffic and parking (often an issue)was very easy. Perhaps there could have been a facility for drying walking gear, although we appreciate we stayed during a period of heavy rain.

The cottage was really really nice we loved staying in We really A really nice place to come back to after walking all day very clean with lots of hot water and all mod cons Sharon and her husband are full of info on the area and chose us some great walks to do would highly recommend

Set in the middle of Grasmere Village but tucked away so really peaceful. Stonegarth Mews has everything you need to make the stay comfortable. The owners were friendly. Parking was great.

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

We really enjoyed being right in the centre of Grasmere; it was great to be able to start and finish a walk at the front door. Our hosts were very friendly and made it clear that if we needed anything, we only needed to ask. All in all a great week, which reminded us how spectacular the Lakes are. We will be definitely be back soon.

Quiet , but only a minute from the centre of Grasmere.

Absolutely ideally situated in the heart of the village Which allows you to enjoy a walk into the village to wine dine and rel after all the Covid restrictions allows.

You certainly won't be disappointed with the facilities in this cottage also the owners live on site if any problems were to arise. Absolutely 10out of 10.

Excellent location in the village of Grasmere.

Very helpful owners who lived next door. The Lake District was even more busy than usual, probably due to Covid. We had two days of rain,although only stayed indoors for one. We are not dedicated walkers but enjoyed strolling around and driving through passes.Beautiful scenery everywhere.

We had a wonderfully time at Stonegarth Mews, it was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, the situation is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the shops and restaurants.

Very friendly owners, attentive without being intrusive.

Great clean, comfortable property in a perfect location for exploring, with lovely walks on the doorstep. The village had everything we could want with the extra bonus of a multiple sevice bus stop within yards of the property ( including open top bus to Bowness every 20 mins at very good prices). We really appreciated the ease of " car free" days during our stay. The owners very kindly offered us the use of thier garden and patio furniture so outside area was available but not as we expected from Sykes description. There is a double seat next to the property but I personally would not describe it as a patio with patio furnture. This would not stop us returning, but could be described more accurately.

This is an EXCEPTIONAL holiday home!

From the moment you drive upto it, it has the WOW factor. Then you cross the threshold. It is simply MAGNIFICENT! The open plan kitchen/living room are equipped to a very high standard. The cooker is of the ‘induction’ variety which we have never used before. But it’s AMAZING. The foods cooks so much quicker than a standard cooker. Upstairs, the bedroom is nicely equipped and appointed. But the bathroom, OH MY GOD!! We are talking showhome standard. It’s BRILLIANT! A shower, easily big enough for two. His and hers sinks. Bidet and low level toilet and..............underfloor heating (which is downstairs too). It’s quiet and private. You would never know that you were just 2 minutes walk from the heart of Grasmere. Our hosts were lovely. Anything that we required was never too much trouble. We thoroughly recommend this BEAUTIFUL holiday home. 10/10.

Lovely, friendly owners communicated quickly to any enquiries and made us feel very welcome once we arrived. The apartment itself is gorgeous- very light and airy and so comfortable. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

Lovely and well equipped cottage.

Spacious bathroom and bedroom, ideal for a couple.Peaceful location yet only couple of minutes walk to nearest pub and village.Grasmere is a very picturesque village and easy access to other towns either by car or public transport. Our hosts, Attilio and Sharon were extremely welcoming and friendly and on hand for any assistance.Very nice people. Would definitely recommend this property.

The cottage was in the perfect location, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Sykes had incorrectly advertised the cottage with a washing machine and cot which was frustrating for us and the owners. The owners Attalid and Sharon were very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our stay was as perfect as possible. They drove into Kendal on Friday night to buy a cot for our 1 year old daughter and even offered the use of their own washing facilities if required. First class service. Sykes, you should ensure your online search matches the cottage facilities. As I say, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stonegarth Mews and would definitely return.
