Lovely holiday.

We have now stayed twice at Gilson and once at Pennington. These cottages are in a lovely position, and as we are getting older and not walking as much it is nice to have a balcony with a view. I’m glad that since last year the trees and bushes have been cut smaller so we could see the water from the balcony. This is a must do, as people pay a lot to stay here for this view.

A fantastic location, comfortable accommodation though slightly tired in places, had been superficially cleaned when we arrived but noticed quite a few cobwebs in window corners etc.

.ferry across to Bowness very easy but do recommend subscribing to the daily ferry updates..

Lovely cottage , fabulous views, conveniently close to the ferry crossing Cleanliness of the floors could be better, Hoover is super loud and leaves a horrible smell in the room Would definitely stay again
