Description

A stone-built semi-detached cottage of immense charm and character, on the edge of the River Doe in the centre of Ingleton, Three Peaks Country.

Fully renovated, this romantic cottage ticks all the boxes when it comes to desirable holiday accommodation.

From the moment guests walk through the door, the homely feel comes to the fore, with an open plan living area combining modern furnishings with the wonderful history of this 17th century cottage.

A Yorkist range is the focal point of the room, with a warming open fire ideal for snuggling by after a hard day out on the local fells, or tackling the demanding Three Peaks challenge.

With original beams, old stonework and the relaxing sounds of the river flowing by outside, these features all combine to ensure a relaxing and soothing atmosphere at this lovely holiday cottage.

The first floor is compact and comfortable with a lovely view across the river, a romantic Jacuzzi bath and double bedroom.

A small cellar provides fuel for the fire and a good little store for your travelling wine collection!

The cottage is in a unique location, just three minutes’ walk from the centre of the village and a short walk from Beezley Falls.

Also just a short walk away from the cottage is the famous Ingleton waterfall trail, boasting some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in England.

The interesting and individual shops and cafes of Kirkby Lonsdale are just a short drive, as are Devil’s Bridge and the River Lune, made famous by the artist Turner and the writer John Ruskin.

Settle, Skipton, The Forest of Bowland and the Lake District are all within a short touring drive and the many delights of the Yorkshire Dales National Park are on the doorstep.

A perfect holiday cottage you will want to come back to year after year!

Loved our stay here.

The property was everything you’d expect from the listing. Very cosy and well appointed in terms of appliances in the cooking area. Lizzie is lovely, as are everyone we met in Ingleton and further afield. We had a few local walks and Ribblehead Viaduct isn’t too far in a car. All in all a very enjoyable week was had.
