Description
Nestled at the heart of the charming market town of Middleton-in-Teesdale, just a short drive north of the wonderful Yorkshire Dales National Park, lies the delightful, four-bedroom, stone-built holiday home of Chapel Cottage.
Boasting enclosed gardens to the front and rear, and an array of tastefully-presented living interiors, this fabulous property welcomes a family of seven or group of sharing friends who are craving a relaxing, self-catered stay within the magnificent North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Park up roadside before you step into your lovely new home-from-home.
Get to work in the well-equipped kitchen/diner, where you'll find all the appliances you'll need to whip up a tasty, home-cooked meal for the whole group to savour in the dining room.
In the evenings, retreat to the plush sitting room to enjoy a film on the Smart TV whilst you and your loved ones are all kept nice and warm by the crackling embers of a woodburning stove.
When sleep finally calls, head upstairs to refresh with a restorative shower or have a long soak in the freestanding bath, on your way to settle down for a well-earned rest in any of the four inviting bedrooms that lie in wait.
When you're ready the next day, lace up your boots and set out to explore what your local area has in store including easy access to the Pennine Way.
Load up on essentials at the well-stocked Co-Op, embark on a scenic stroll alongside the rushing, cool waters of the River Tees, before you sit down for traditional pub dinner at the Teesdale Hotel or the well-regarded French influenced cuisine of the Forresters Bar & Restaurant when you fancy a break from cooking one evening.
For a full day out, head into the North Pennines AONB to visit the noteworthy attractions and landmarks of Ashgill Force, Beldy Waterfall, Summerhill Force & Gibson's Cave, and the Killhope Lead Mining Museum.
For a trip to remember in County Durham, look no further than Chapel Cottage.

What guests are saying
Beautiful cottage and perfect for a family get together aged from 4 to 79 years.
Location good , managed to park nearby . Everything you needed and the complimentary goodies basket great .
Beautiful cottage but beds are like rocks Also the upstairs shower there is no anti slip and it is red hot constant anyway so we all had to use the dog shower downstairs also massive trip hazzard rug on the Landing with all corners raised .
..we had to move it. Now dont get me wrong the place is divine and so gorgeous but these things are vital and if ignored someone is going to hurt themselves and this may be looked at. Ace kitchen with so so so many things to make food. I wouldn't stay again as the little bed and blue bedroom bed are done for ... Thanks for letting us into your home
Another wonderful week in Chapel Cottage.
A delightful home in a perfect position. Lots to do and see and amazing walks. Cannot fault the facilities at all.
