Really lovely cottage, very cosy, and presented to a high standard.

We would definitely return. Great place to stay for walking and taking in the views of the countryside. So peaceful. Shops close by, and Alison's recommended places to eat were appreciated. We had an enjoyable weekend.

The cottage is as described, it's small but perfect. It's warm and welcoming and has everything you need. If you like walking theres plenty of lovely walks very close by. We would highly recommend staying here. The pizza shop Ozzys pizzas is fab, the staff are really friendly and the food is lovely not greasy like some. We hope to come back for another visit soon.

What a gem in a wonderful part of the country!

The owner has furnished the property to an extremely high standard and welcomed us with a beautiful hamper of goodies! Would certainly recommend Hush Cottage if you want a quiet break and the luxuries of home.

We were very happy with Hush Cottage, and felt it had been refurbished to a very high standard, using quality products.

Alison, the owner was very obliging, and supplied a very generous welcoming basket of goodies.Our only reservations as an elderly couple was that the stairs were quite steep, and vehicle access difficult. A lovely, cosy cottage.

Homely, comfortable cottage making an excellent base for exploring the north Pennines. Welcoming gift basket which was appreciated. All was as described.

Cotttage small and cute with 99% of everything supplied including a lovely welcome basket.

Just missing the ice for a G & T sitting outside in the sunshine. Fortunately the very large and very cold fridge had loads of room so bottles went in fridge easily. Both bed and settee too soft if you have a bad back but otherwise brilliant.

Small but perfectly cosy and well equipped cottage.

Real attention to detail which makes the place feel welcoming. Spotlessly clean throughout and with a great shower with heated towel rail and under floor heating for cooler days. Middleton in Teesdale is a lovely village, we enjoyed frequenting the local tea shops and Teesdale Hotel. Lots of scenic walks straight from the cottage as well. We would definitely book again.

Everything in the cottage was of the very finessed quality . there was a wonderful welcoming pack , and that then that set the holiday of to a very good week . Met the owners of the cottage ,they were delightful. If you go there I think( know) , that you will agree with me Alan & Jean

Hush cottage is a beautiful cottage, very well presented and homely.

It has everything you need and is cosy, warm and has an amazing bed and linen. Alison the host is kind and generous and communication is excellent. We had a wonderful 3 nights here. I sat with the door open, sun streaming in listening to the birds. Would highly recommend Hush cottage as your next getaway.

! It felt very homely, nice and warm and especially toasty with the wood fire on. Alison left us with a healthy amount of wood to burn that latest us the 3 nights. Very cute, all that we needed for the two of us! Short walk to the shops and bars and some lovely places to visit nearby :) thank you for a beautiful stay!

This is a very comfortable cottage.

It is small but the space is well used - we had no problems cooking in the kitchen for example. Middleton is a lovely village set in an equally attractive area.

A very well maintained cottage, nicely decorated.

It is quite compact, but mostly well laid-out, except for the kitchen area, which is a bit cramped, being partly under the stairs. Overall, cosy, comfortable and in an excellent location. I would certainly stay here again.

Lovely cottage, very pretty and well-equipped.

Alison, the owner friendly and helpful and I could see the trouble taken to make the cottage homely and tasteful. The hamper left for me was a lovely surprise and made me feel very welcome, it was much appreciated. A Co-op supermarket nearby had all the provisions needed. Peaceful location and well-situated for walking in the North Pennines. Although parking not readily available at the cottage it was easy to park on the main road.

Everything in the cottage was first class and very clean.

I would recommend this for hikers as their are very good walks without using the car.

Hush cottage is a beautiful, little cottage.

Super clean, with everything you need. Alison is a thoughtful and very helpful host. The welcome basket was a lovely thought. She had even put milk in the fridge. The surrounding countryside is stunning and the village of Middleton on Teesdale is charming with lovely, friendly cafes and pubs and hotel for meals.

Hush Cottage is a super little cottage in a quaint Yorkshire Dales Village.

The accommodation is first class for comfort and cleanliness with top quality furnishings and equipment. The area offers something for everyone and especially if you enjoy walking. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I would not hesitate to recommend Hush Cottage and cannot wait to return.

. everything we needed and more .. welcome hamper an added bonus . The cottage was immaculate .. loads of wood for the fire .. milk in the fridge .. we settled in quickly . Perfect spot for the village too. Thanks for the attention to detail .. all muchly appreciated.

A lovely and incredibly well equipped cottage .

There was absolutely nothing we needed that was not provided. The owner was extremely helpful both with the information before we arrived and a couple of small queries that we had during our stay. She also provided a very generous welcome basket.

The cottage was excellent, In addition we especially liked Middleton as the location, a lovely working village with everything you would need only minutes away and relaxing walks, just right for restful break.

P.S. stairs rather steep for the elderly.

Everything about our stay at Hush cottage was exemplary and actually above our expectations.

Alison and Richard were excellent hosts , and the cottage is exactly as advertised, comfortable, clean and cosy . The welcome pack was more than generous, and the log burner and all other facilities were excellent. We had a lovely few days , with plenty of walks and pub meals etc. Highly recommended.

! Lovely little cottage, very clean and warm upon arrival. Amazing food at the pub and the chippy worth a visit. Being pickie, but did miss a freezer compartment for ice. Will be back.

Beautifully modernised. Excellent facilities. Warm and cosy atmosphere. Everything you need for a mini, short or longer stay. Easy walking distance from local village facilities. A ‘Welcome Pack’ to beat all others. All backed up by wonderful countryside.

Prior to our arrival communication with the owner was excellent.

Hush Cottage is at the end of a short terrace just three minutes walk from the centre of lovely Middleton-in-Teesdale. Access to park outside the cottage is 'tight' if you have a large vehicle but with care is possible, however there is plenty of safe parking nearby. The cottage is beautifully furnished and was spotlessly clean. The log burner ensured that we were warm and cosy in spite of the cold temperatures. The bed was very comfortable and the quiet surroundings made for peaceful nights sleep. A generous welcome basket greeted us and we had everything we needed for a super break. Thank you

The property owner is easy to communicate with, offering tips and advise for finding the property and it’s surrounding area.

The Property is too a very high standard and exceedingly clean. The owners seem to have thought of everything and also provide an explicit handbook. The cottage is well placed for the village and despite parking in the adjoining street it wasn’t an issue. Our welcome pack exceeded all expectations. The bed is so comfy and lovely soft pillows. On the right night you can lie in bed and see the stars if you open the blind on the velux window. We will certainly book again.

This cottage is very cosy and comfortable we only used the car once to go to Barnard Castle the rest of the week we took a different walk every day, the cottage has everything you want.

We could not have asked for a better cottage to stay in. Cleanliness, cosy, fully fitted and kitted out kitchen, underfloor bathroom heating - perfect. Lovely welcome hamper. Highly recommend and will be going back again. Alison the host was very helpful throughout.

Just perfect.

The cottage was really cramped, the kitchen was difficult to move around in , the sofa had to be moved to get to the table and there was no washing machine .

It was clean but there was no outside seating as was shown on the website. I left on Tuesday as I was not happy at all .I sent the owner a message on her phone but received no reply. All in all not a happy experience .

The owner was really helpful and gave us lots of advice on where to visit etc. and even arranged to sort a wifi issue the same day that we reported it; not that we needed the internet much, as the cottage was well located to local amenities. Lots of walks, meals and drinks were had. If you are looking for a quiet break away in a lovely location, then you don't need to look much further!

We stayed a week in this delightful cottage.

It was perfect for our winter holiday - warm, cosy, furnished beautifully with everything we could possibly need. The cottage is ideally situated in the town with all shops and amenities nearby. It is an excellent base for touring the area and for walking along the many footpaths, including a part of the Pennine Way. We will not forget the friendliness of everyone we met.

Brilliant location if you like walking in the dales.

Middleton in Teesdale is as good or better than the very best of the more popular Yorkshire dales, and the people are so friendly. Hush Cottage was wonderfully presented and spotlessly clean, though the kitchen/living room was a bit small. Alison was very welcoming, and a really nice hamper of goodies awaits new guests.

We had such a wonderful time at Hush Cottage and can't recommend it highly enough - it really is the perfect base for a break in the spectacular Pennines.

Alison provided everything we needed and more, including a very generous welcome basket full of delicious treats. The only problem we had was leaving, we were so comfortable we could have stayed for weeks!

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful as soon as we had booked. The cottage was absolutely perfect, quaint and very cosy. The decor was lovely and the owner clearly looked after the cottage well, it was well equipped and had everything you could need to cook a lovely meal and the hamper was a lovely touch. There are lots of lovely walks and cycles in the area. Unfortunately we only had one full day, so didnt have time to do everything we wanted but will definitely return to Hush Cottage again and would recommend to friends.

Lovely little dolls house - we were a bit surprised just how small it was but it was very well equipped and very stylishly decorated.

Middleton was an excellent base for walking and we had some lovely walks without needing to use the car.

The owner Alison is lovely and so helpful. The cottage itself is finished to such a high standard and is equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday, including all the mod cons. Middleton in Teesdale is a beautiful part of the country, with all you need on your doorstep...including its very own bookshop. Can't recommend Hush cottage enough!

Hush cottage was one of the nicest holiday cottages that I have stayed in.

It was tastefully decorated and cosy. The owner Alison left a lovely welcome hamper and was very helpful. The Middleton in Teesdale area is great for a walking holiday with friendly local pubs for evening meals.
