Description

25 St Georges Quay is a charming period apartment housed on the top two floors of a Grade II listed building, dating from the 1750s on Lancaster’s historic quayside, overlooking the River Lune and yes, there’s free parking, too.

As soon as you enter the hall, you’ll notice the solid wooden floors have shifted slightly over the years, adding to the building’s quirky and creaky character.

The bedrooms are here, accessed directly from the hall.

The rear south-facing bedroom overlooks Quay Meadow, whilst the front bedroom boasts stunning river views through its Georgian windows.

The modern bathroom’s on this floor, too.

Watch your head as you climb the stairs and you’ll come up into the living room.

Roughly-hewn wooden beams line the high V-shaped ceiling.

This was once the home of one of Lancaster’s leading 18th Century merchants.

With daylight streaming into the living room through the generous Velux windows in the roof, what better place to sit and enjoy the views.

The newly fitted kitchen is accessed directly from the living room.

There’s free, unlimited, on-street parking just 1min away as well as a Pay and Display right behind the property.

Spent a windy and wet weekend in Lancaster and we were so glad of the warm and comfortable surroundings of 25 St George’s Quay.

Just a short stroll into the town centre and well situated for the Castle. Very clean and well equipped, comfortable beds with lovely high quality bedding. We didn’t notice any noise from the Pub next door or the neighbours in the building. James was very helpful, loved the history he has shared in the folder, Would definitely recommend!

We had such a lovely time staying here!

It's quiet charm is so beautiful, looking out over the quay in the morning. There are a few flights of stairs to get up to the property but our nearly 2yo loved it, as there's a window seat looking out to the car park/green behind where you can see all the dogs out on their walks! It's a 5/10 minute walk into town, close to supermarkets and Lancaster is full of places to eat. The property itself is so homely, definitely feels warming and it's lovely to sit upstairs after a long day watching the sun go down. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and bits so cooking there was easy too. My other half had an issue with the floor being slightly banked, but it's an grade 2 listed building, and I loved it! Would definitely book here again if we needed to stay in town :) Thanks to James for being so welcoming and helping out where we needed as well!
