Lovely comfortable cosy cottage with everything you would need for a relaxing weekend away and more.

Welcome gifts were also appreciated. Wood etc isn’t provided for the log burner but can be bought in the village but an initial starter amount for the first night would be a nice touch. Description of cottage and garden was accurate although states there is a gap under the gate which a dog could get through however this wasn’t the case. There is also wire meshing at the end of the garden and wooded area which again our (small) dog wasn’t able to breach! Staveley village is lovely and very well served with two great cafes, a variety of shops and a great pub serving excellent food. Plenty of nice walks nearby and around, beautiful scenery, and only a few miles from Windermere.

This could have been a great holiday, the garden was not secure and that was one of the main points for us.

the grass had not been cut the access at the back was always blocked of by the people next door so could not put out the garbage. In the bathroom the wc was running all the time the seal around the bath was mouldy the bath taps needed a very good clean.floorboards upstairs looked great but nearly all of them squeaked not good in the middle of the night.Conservatory was an asset,to sit down at the dining table for breakfast to see hairs there was a worry and on further inspect balls of hair on floor yuck, needs a proper clean and some TLC.

Overall a fantastic stay in a lovely cottage.

The cottage is charming, absolutely a home away from home. It's situated in a fantastic area with many of the lakes top ''must visit'' areas close by. Overall the cottage was cosy and comfortable, the only callout here would be the mattress was slightly too firm but I appreciate this is more of a personal preference. The welcome gift on arrival was a lovely touch. We would absolutely stay at this cottage again!
