The market town boasts a medieval castle with its own dungeon, close to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, which can be accessed within a five-minute walk of the property and is excellent for walking and cycling.

Skipton is also home to a golf club, a park and the renowned Skipton Market, a tradition that has been upheld since medieval times, with stalls set up on the cobbled high street four times a week, where you can pick up a range of fantastic produce.

This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2008 the Academy of Urbanism voted the High Street the best shopping spot in Britain, and The Copper Dragon/Greyhawk Brewery is highly rated in the CAMRA listings.
