I could not have chosen a better place to celebrate my partners 50th, 11 out 0f 10.

Read the welcome booklet, the "quiet time" after 10pm, does not mean silence, owner explained that it means do not have the boom box in the garden/beer garden, that is only fair, we partied in the pub with the music until the early hours over the fab weekend. Make the small effort to read how the aga works, simple and superb. The small chickens and the Swan a pleasure to feed, you will see for yourself, the Swan is fed from the fence overlooking the lake, or the fence overlooking the field. Further afield, Glasson Dock, though not in its pomp these days like so many other smalll coastal regions, worth a visit for the Marina, walks, and smokehouse with all kinds of produce. £5 return on the ferry from Knott end to Fleetwood, huge market there. Local pub Seven Stars, good ales and food, food served Thursday until Sunday, open at dinnertime, midweek around 4pm for a lovely pint. In a nutshell, no wonder this property has won the Bronze medal with Sykes for large gatherings, that is from thousands of properties, I need to check the Gold and Silver winners as how can you beat this? Owner John so approachable as mentioned many times, Hi John, please take my advice and sell the free range eggs from the chickens in the field over the fence, after all, we fed them enough! Overall, this is the best property I have booked with Sykes over 20 years, and I am sure you will enjoy it, might appear expensive, but after bringing your own booze, (ice cold Stella in a glass at 78p a pint) you soon reap the savings made rather than booking a venue with the alcohol costs associated with that. Hope future guests enjoy it as much as we did. See you next September, too good to just stay once.

Moor End Manor is a wonderful property with everything we needed for a family celebration weekend.

There were 10 of us, including 4 children aged 7 to 10, and we had a fabulous time. The children loved the Black Swan pub, and the extensive gardens, and the location of the porperty is ideal. The local pub, The Seven Stars, which is a short stroll away, serves good food and drink and across the road is a Morrisons Daily across the road for supplies which may have been forgotten. The property co-owner, Steve, was really helpful, always on hand and he kindly contacted us after we left as one of my granddaughters had left something in the house. Everyone in our party enjoyed Moor End Manor so much, we are hoping to do the same again next year.

This place was amazing!

It had all the features we needed for a fantastic hen weekend. The space and facilities were endless. The weather was kind to us so we made great use of the outdoor seating area, garden, beer garden and hot tub. In the evenings we used the outdoor area and partied in the property’s own pub/bar building. We brought loads of accessories with us but found almost all had been provided, with boom box, disco lights, cocktail shakers, etc. the only thing of ours we ended up using in the bar were our kareoke microphones otherwise it was so well thought out and equipped. The kitchen had endless crockery and serving dishes, and the aga was amazing! The large table in the dining room seated us all for Saturday night and the bedrooms were great spaces, especially the main bedroom with its huge tv, mirrored wall and freestanding bath. I could just go on and on, it was just perfect! The owners communicated really well and quickly to any questions we had prior to our stay and we were met on our arrival and given a tour of the property and provided with instructions for anything we needed to know. The only negative thing was we had to leave the property, as we all wanted to stay there. We will definitely be back. You need to go :)
