What guests are saying
We really enjoyed our stay - the house was very comfortable and clean, with excellent kitchen facilities and equipment.
Although we were extremely lucky with the weather so were able to walk every day, it would not have been a problem to be housebound - there was plenty of space for four adults. All the information needed was presented in a well-organised ring-binder, together with suggestions for local walks. Many thanks for a most enjoyable break!
Excellent property with every facility we could wish for.
Really cosy and comfortable, so peaceful with amazing views. Location is great. Not too far to drive into the lakes. Local pub was very good. We had a fantastic family get together.
This is a well maintained, clean and equipped property as stated in previous reviews.
Quiet and comfy - but - it was so cold when we arrived and took 24 hours to warm up. . After a long journey from Cornwall , there was a welcome pack apart of a jar of honey, tea and coffee and so we had another drive into Keswick for necessary supplies. Disappointed that there was no milk for a cup of tea or even a small pack of logs and matches for the woodturner - little extras that we have found with previous lets with Sykes cottages . We left logs and matches for next guests. It is a lovely quiet place to stay and I would recommend - just such a pity that there was no warm welcome.
