2 Mellfell View provides a warm and welcoming accommodation, perfect for families looking to explore the Lake District.

After a day of rambling the countryside and exploring the many pretty Lakeland villages, retire to the sitting room, complete with two plush sofas arranged infront of the woodburning stove, you’ll have no trouble relaxing here.

Discover the kitchen for preparing your meals, hosting all the essentials for a short break, while the dining area is where you can enjoy mealtimes, or take food outside for alfresco dining in the mature gardens.

There are two delightful bedrooms at this Lakeland cottage, including a king-size and twin, each with magnificent views of the Northern Fells including Mell, Blencathra and Carrock.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the wonderful cottage garden, take a pleasant relaxing stroll on the many footpaths throughout the area or a short easy walk across the fields.

The cottage is just five miles from Ullswater and is ideally placed to explore, enjoy and relax in the lakes with its amazing scenery and lake cruises on the steamers that run between Glenridding, Howtown and Pooley Bridge.

The famous, well photographed Aira Force waterfalls in the ancient woodlands on the banks of Ullswater are well worth a visit.

Enjoy a day in Keswick with the wonderful Derwentwater and its lake cruises or you may prefer to take a small boat out.

Keswick also has a good range of restaurants and pubs and holds a market on every Thursday and Saturday.

Alternatively, take a trip over the scenic Kirkstone Pass to explore the life of Beatrix Potter around Windermere.

The views from the windows were wonderful.

The cottage was in a perfect sitting and very quiet. The garden was pleasant and great for our collie.

Overall a very pleasant property and plenty of facilities that you would expect, village and local walks were easy to hand and extremely picturesque.

Penrith is close enough for any large shops needed, weather was lovely, not always guaranteed, only managed to get wet once in the week.

Lovely cottage in a perfect location for visiting the Northern Lakes.

Lovely view across the fells and MellFell. If I’m being critical, the cottage is feeling a little tired but suited my requirements and would stay here again. A little disappointing that there was no heating on when we arrived or any kindling to light the wood burner so a pretty fresh first night. I would advise any guests to ensure they arrive with milk, tea/coffee as there’s nothing in the way of a welcome pack by the owners.
