Description
Cononley 2.2 miles.
Tucked away in a peaceful location on the outskirts of the sought-after village of Lothersdale in North Yorkshire rests this delightful stone-built cottage, 1 Stansfield Mews.
Boasting a homely interior set across three floors and idyllically positioned within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, 1 Stansfield Mews is the perfect base for both families and friends alike looking for a rural retreat.
Park up in either of your private off-road parking spaces before unloading your belongings and making your way through the well-kept front garden and over the threshold to begin your staycation.
Stepping inside, be welcomed into the open-plan living space, beautifully-appointed with high-quality furnishings and a contemporary décor, where you can look forward to kicking back on the sumptuous corner sofa as you unwind with a moment of peace in front of the television, gently warming your toes with the glow of the warming electric fire.
Uncork a bottle of wine and gather together around the elegant kitchen island as the keen cook makes use of the range of amenities provided to rustle up a heart-warming meal, loading the handy dishwasher so there's no time wasted doing the washing up!
In the warmer months, throw open the patio doors and carry your conversation outside to the peaceful setting of your private garden where you can indulge in a spot of alfresco dining whilst your four-legged friends stretch their legs.
As the evening draws to a close, head back indoors and climb the stairs to the first floor where you'll find three well-presented bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, both offering a zip/link feature for flexible sleeping arrangements alongside a single bedroom, perfect for an intimate escape away from the excitement.
The fourth and final bedroom is nestled under the sloped ceiling on the second floor, home to a sumptuous king-size bed, an en-suite and a TV, so you can watch all your favourite films from the comfort of the covers.
Take a break from doing the cooking and venture into the heart of Lothersdale where you'll find the local village pub, the Hare & Hounds, where you can enjoy a spot of traditional pub grub prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a crisp pint of real ale, all served alongside a warming Yorkshire welcome.
A short journey will bring you to the nearby village of Cononley, home to a well-stocked convenience store, perfect for picking up any last-minute essentials, as well as two country pubs for a wider variety of choice.
If you've remembered to pack your gear, head to Raygill Fishing Lakes to cast your line in the hopes of catching tench, mirror carp or golden orfe to name a few, or if that's not your thing, join the Pennine Way as it passes through the village and hike to the summit of Pinhaw Beacon, boasting panoramic views across the surrounding countryside from the top.
The market town of Skipton is within easy reach, where you can tour the 12th-century dungeons of Skipton Castle, immerse yourself in the local history at the Craven Museum & Gallery, treat yourself to a spot of retail therapy at Craven Court Shopping Centre, or test your swing at Skipton Golf Club.
Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a visit to 1 Stansfield Mews.

Wonderful accommodation in a good location for visiting various areas.
...Ilkley moor, Malham cove to name a couple. Need a car & a pity no local shop in village. Superb pub though serving excellent food.
We had a lovely time at the cottage very clean and comfortable, everything you need was there.
Very quiet location, lovely village the pub was a few minutes walk the Hare and Hounds lovely pub great staff very friendly, lovely meals would recommend it.was a fifteen minute drive to skipton.would stay there again .only negative thing would be a bannister rail going up to first floor one of our party had difficulty going up stairs and anyone who has mobility problems would find it difficult a rail would them a bit more stability and maybe a shower mat has it was bit slippy. Has for the rest was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Wonderful place to stay!
The house is new and modern, well laid out and very clean. Absolutely fantastic. Lothersdale is a lovely village with great walks and a brilliant country pub a few hundred yards away. Highly recommended.
