We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

All four of us had 7 nights wonderful sleep

A really pleasant, well maintained, quiet site and lots to do and see in the area.

The property was very nice with ample living and kitchen areas, the beds were good, our only gripe was that the shower in the double bedroom was far too small for an adult to enter, the bathroom could have been bigger. Remember to take your salt and pepper.

We were very happy with our stay at Hay Barn.

Loved the cottage and location and the owner was extremely helpful in suggesting where to visit and to make sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was well stocked with everything to make out stay perfect and it was a lovely touch to have milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. We will definitely be back.

The property was very good clean quite and owners ket us,go in an hour earlier as we had travelled over 200 miles to get there and the donkeys ponies and goats were only about 20 feet away from the property on,opposite side of a driveway at xise of house so we went and fed them carrots every day as we sponser donkeys in cornwall every year so thay,was a nicw suprise fo us

Absolutely stunning property and everything you ever thought you needed was there.

To make is so special the weather was very kind to us for a week in October, beautiful blue skies!

Lovely well equipped cottage in a peaceful location.

Beds very comfortable if you like them firm which we do. Cottage was clean, warm and cozy, appreciated the biscuits and milk. Nice to have additional hand towels in bathroom and kitchen. Just two slight negatives the sofas have really sunk so a struggle to get out of them. And the shower in the main bedroom is tiny so if you are anything over average size 16 it's a struggle. Shame as bedroom is huge and bathroom could have been so much bigger. It was ok for us as we both used shower in other bedroom but if you are sharing with another couple could be trickier.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, spacious, in a quiet and attractive setting.

We would recommend the property and would be happy to visit again. We were surprised there was no tumble drier as there was plenty of room for one in the large kitchen. Also the shower in the double bedroom en suite, was small and had a doorway that some people might have found hard to get through. Those are our only real complaints, as it was otherwise a very good property. Dog walking is good and it is a good base for visiting many beautiful areas of the Yorkshire Dales.

Must say this is a lovely property.

It was really clean and everything we expected on arrival but once in you found a few things that needed doing the shower doors in the main bedroom didn’t open wise very tight squeeze to get lots of lightbulbs were out it was just one or two really niggly things but apart from that I must say we had a great stay here. The ponies and donkeys were lovely went over. Had a chat. with Gloria the pig absolutely gorgeous very friendly so quiet at night and no light pollution could see all the stars would recommend this place.

Love this cottage and the surround , it was a comfortable peaceful place with lovely walks on site and so much to see in the area.

Everyone we met was so friendly and all the staff in the park were very nice and helpful

Excellent cottage would stay there again.

Cottage was nice, beds clean, overall lovely stay and would come again.

But there were areas where cleaning could have been better. Leak was reported in the downstairs toilet, not fixed. Extractor fan in one bathroom not working, reported but not fixed. Cooker was hit and miss quite often wouldnt work, so gave up on using, heating wasnt working downstairs when we arrived, maintenance person came out and sorted. Kitchen floor lots of broken tiles. Parasol in garden too small for stand although beautiful weather at one point gust of wind blew parasol out just missing one of the guests, this needs sorted as could cause injury.

What a wonderful cottage in the most beautiful surroundings.

We have loved every minute of our stay here and cannot wait to return in the future.

A spacious, warm cottage for the three of us and a dog to enjoy Christmas.

The odd problems were solved very quickly. A quiet location with lots to do in the area.

Beautiful cottage and grounds.

Never been to the area before but was well placed for Yorkshire Dale's and Lancashire. Been self catering for over 35 years and this was one of the most well equipped, clean and spacious places I've stayed in. The reception was so friendly and helpful with lots of guides to the area. Enjoyed it so much already booked again for next year.

Hay barn is really comfortable throughout , and very well equipped in the kitchen .

The team; Halina, Sally, & Chris couldn’t do enough for us. With Chris sorting out someone to fix the satellite that had been damaged by a storm so we could watch terrestrial TV. We last stayed here in Sept 2017 and were very happy to be back again. We will be back.

Peaceful location.

Clean and comfortable. Good communication with owners and any issues were quickly addressed.

This was the cleanest cottage we’ve stayed in.

It had all the equipment we could possibly need. The facilities were great. All the animals were an added bonus and we loved seeing them. Everyone was friendly who we came into contact with. Great stay in a lovely, peaceful cottage. Thank you.

We had a lovely time at Haybarn cottage.

My partner had recently had surgery so we wanted to get away for a bit of time to relax. It is the perfect base to explore the Lakes and Lancashire. We will definitely be returning, Thankyou.

A light and airy barn conversion in a lovely setting on the edge of a Holiday Park.

Very quiet, peaceful and comfortable. We had a lovely relaxing stay.

Great position and location, very clean and comfortable.

A little confusion over how to get the oven to work as one important step missed in the instructions, but we figured it out and all was well. Overall a very good stay, and we would go there again.

Cottage was home from home.

Everything you needed for a comfortable stay. A great base to explore Yorkshire. The master bed could do with upgrading as a bit lumpy! Could put up either it for a week as Everything else was great. Would recommend.

I have already booked our fourth stay I cannot say more than that.

The cottage exceeded our expectations in that it was equipped with everything you could want and the whole cottage felt huge and spacious.

We will be booking again for sure.

The Haybarn is a conversion that, when carried out was probably very comfortable, however most of the furnishings and appliances are well past their sell by date.

The couches in the lounge are not comfortable to sit on for any amount of time, the mattress on the double bed is so soft or worn out you can actually feel the frame beneath and for a property that is occupied by various people is certainly not adequate. In the kitchen the hob which is a solid hotplate electric appliance, there are no markings visible so you have no idea which hotplate is turned on or to what degree of heat settings. I could go on about other items but suffice to say the Haybarn is located on a quite, tidy site which is in a great location for exploring nearby villages and towns. It is just tired and definitely ready to be given some TLC

This is the best-equipped house we have ever rented. Great setting and as a dog owner perfect. We will be back at the end of March next year

Very comfortable and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely consider staying again at Haybarn. .

Very nice but showing its age.

Bathrooms and Kitchen Housekeeping could be better Dusting. Dead Flies in the light fitting above the bed. I removed them A mop head was provided as was a bucket but no handle. Cleaning materials particularly for the floor and toilet would have been helpful. Very comfortable beds and lounge area. We will most certainly be booking again.

The cottage was well equipped for catering, was a little disappointed there was no BBQ, but disposable ones were provided.

We had a wonderful stay at the Haybarn.

The property is large and spacious and has everything you could possibly need including 2 hairdryers, an iron and a fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are large and it was lovely that our teens had their own bathroom and walk in wardrobe! The whole site is beautiful and very peaceful and tranquil. Lots of lovely walks right on your doorstep. My girls loved the animals just outside the cottage. There are 4 cheeky goats and 2 Welsh ponies that they went to see every morning. We also saw the horse and donkeys, the pig and the alpaca. We will definitely return soon. Lots of fabulous memories made.

This was our third time in the Hay Barn.

We greatly enjoy this property, and closeness to countryside and dales. The only thing we were not happy with, are a couple of the unusual kitchen appliances e.g. the oven only works if the timer is used. However, check-in is always good and efficient, and everyone is very friendly. A very efficiently run place.

A** cottage !

Very well equipped and so comfortable and clean. Made to feel so welcome and looked after. Nice touches of milk, tea and biscuits for our late arrival which was well needed. The best cottage we have stayed in by far ! Will most definitely be booking it up again.

Our second visit in the last 4 months, this says it all, situated in a lovely,quiet location, superbly equipped.

Easy to travel to visit the outstanding local scenery, we would highly recommend this property.

Lovely barn conversion but not in a clean condition when we arrived.

It had a grubby feel to it with sticky work surfaces, tables and handles- cutlery and crockery were not clean. It was obvious that downstairs had not been dusted and hoovered. Some basics such as paper kitchen towels and dishwasher tablets were missing. It would also have been nice to have had some tea lights provided for the lovely lamps in the lounge. We also reported that the lever to the lounge was broken on day 2 but it was never repaired.That said, the beds were comfortable and the shower was great. It was also a a bonus to have Netflix on the TV. It was also in a good location to explore the Dales.

This is our second holiday at the Hay Barn.

This is because we are delighted with the superbly restored old hay barn, on the edge of attractive countryside. It is also located within easy access of the Yorkshire Dales as a whole, and the Lake District, with the Forest of Bowland to the south.

This has to be one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.

It was very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity then you will find it here.

The Hay Barn was fabulous, spacious, everything to a high standard, very well equipped and so comfortable in every way.

We loved being in our own space, with our own little farm to enjoy. We would definitely recommend Hay Barn and we were hoping to return in 2022 but it appears to not be available for booking

Spacious and comfortable place to stay with comfy beds, good showers and a well equiped kitchen.

The owners were very friendly and happy to help with any questions. The nature trail around the site and the animals were a big hit with little ones. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this cottage but would suggest the photos and description are updated to reflect changes to the property.

Best cottage we have stayed in.

Great location. Beautiful area to explore and many good eating places nearby. Would have liked a pub within walking distance but you can't have everything.

What a lovely cottage on the outskirts of a caravan park but still had our privacy.

Really comfortable, spacious with everything we needed. Lovely area to sit out on patio. So nice to chat to doggy walkers passing by from caravan park and to spend time with the horse, donkeys ponies, goats and lambs. Staff friendly and obviously take care of the park really well. Had a great holiday thank you

It was piecful and tranquil with nice surroundings.

On the downside, there was no shop or pub within walking distance.

This is an exceptional cottage.

The photos on the Sykes website looked great but we were expecting to find they'd been taken from a generous photographic angle - not so! The rooms are incredibly spacious and the cottage is fabulously equipped. With lovely neigh-bours in horses, donkeys, sheep and alpacas plus a great site with top walks from the doorstep this is a brilliant location. It's also very close to Ingleton, Clapham and Austwick all with their own fabulous walks, cafes and restaurants. A little further afield both Settle and Skipton are fantastic days out. (For dog owners we wholeheartedly recommend Curlew Cafe in Ingleton and Kibble Bakery in Skipton for their dog-friendliness and dog-menus). The staff supporting the cottage were absolutely fantastic too and very quick to help with queries. Although the weather did not smile on us at all in our week away, with wall-to-wall rain (which made the waterfalls spectacular) but we still thoroughly enjoyed our week away at Hay Barn.

We had a lovely week away in this very quiet area, the cottage is beautiful although the kitchen cupboards layout needs a little tlc It’s not put us off though as already booked for 2021 Thanks

This is a fabulous cottage/barn.

There is everything you could wish for in the kitchen. There is an abundance of pots, pans and cooking dishes/utensils etc. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding was good quality. It was also very warm and cosy. I would certainly recommend this property. The location was great with so many attractions close by and within half hours drive. We would certainly go back and stay there again if we visited the area again.

The cleaning of the cottage was not great the pictures need up dating the kitchen was all up side down and asking us to clean up before we left was a bit out of order would not go back

One of the best cottages we have stayed it.

It had everything you could possibly need and more. Everything was lovely and clean. We had a fantastic time and would definitely return.

We have been in many cottages over the years all over the country but have never been to one as nice as this one.

The site was well run, very clean and tidy and the staff very helpful and friendly. It was everything it said it would be on the blurb and more. The area was lovely with plenty of places to visit, an especial favourite of ours was Crook o Lune which had a river walk that our dog Max thoroughly enjoyed. Plan to revisit next year.

It would have been good to have been told we could access books and games etc from the cabin near reception, we didnt know it was there until the last day of our visit.

More information in the cottage on walks and things to do in the area would have been appreciatef and more attention to things like checking light bulbs by the cleaners was needed as there were 2 out which was annoying. Having said that we had an excellent stay.

Very spacious cottage, pictures do not do it justice.

All the rooms have a ‘wow’ factor. Wonderful underfloor heating greeted us on our arrival. Plenty of towels, hand soap and toilet paper provided. Graham greeted us and couldn’t have been more helpful. We enjoyed the woodland walk and looking at a variety of birds from the hide. The visiting peacock was a delight to watch wondering outside the cottage as well as listening to the woodpecker. Would love to go back.

Cottage was very clean and comfortable to stay in very well equipped cottage but there was not any coat hooks to hang coats which would have been more of a problem if they were wet, but we were all very pleased with cottage and it's location.

Lovely cottage, perfect for young family on leisure park and with animals on door step.

Only thing I would have liked is a fenced in garden so we could let the children play freely outside. Very high standard of interior to cottage. Just lovely.
