Woodside Cottage is everything we were led to expect from the listing on Sykes - and more!

An exceptionally cosy, comfortable, well-equipped cottage in a superb setting in the middle of Malham. The owners have ensured everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable is available in the cottage. Lots of walks are possible right from the doorstep and all the delights of the Dales are a short drive away. Thank you Kath and David - happy to thoroughly recommend your property!

We stayed at Woodside Cottage as a base for walking in the area, but also had elderly parents with us.

Overall the accommodation was very comfortable and central for the facilities in the village. The garden was secure for our dog and we enjoyed the birdlife which visits in abundance. The cottage is well equipped. The showers are particularly excellent. And the little utility very useful. None of us are tall and we did struggle to reach the top shelves in the kitchen. For those who are less mobile, the stairs are not too steep with a rail on the left ascending. The front and back door steps are both quite large, and we set a garden chair by the back door step to use as a grab rail. Decoratively the house is very comforting with lots of deep colours, though perhaps a little dark. The only real concern maintenance wise is that many of the window locks upstairs are broken so the windows could not be properly secured or vented. The area has beautiful walking and we only used the car one day. The village is a hub for walkers and school parties and can be very busy. There were school parties surveying the stream next the the cottage almost daily. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return, but will choose a less busy time of year.
