Description

Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales in the village of Sedbusk near Hawes, is this lovely, stone-built cottage, High House.

With exposed stone walls and windows and offering a woodburning stove, this pet-friendly home is an ideal base for a family of five and their furry friend.

Leave your vehicle in the off-road parking space before making your way through the front courtyard; here, you can enjoy a cup of tea in the morning sunshine.

Entering via the porch, discover the sitting room, where you can curl up on the sofa beside the toasty woodburning stove with a hot chocolate as you flicker through the Smart TV.

Locate the contemporary kitchen/diner, where the chef of the group can rustle up tasty dishes; afterwards settle down at the dining table and toast to your hideaway.

When eyes grow heavy, climb upstairs and take your pick between three well-presented bedrooms, there are two doubles and a single, all with adequate storage to house your belongings.

Awaken with a bubbly bath in the bathroom or enjoy a hot shower before joining your loved ones at the dining table for a hearty breakfast.

With walks leading directly from your front gate, its easy to explore the rolling countryside around you; visit the peaceful waterfalls of Hardraw Force Waterfall and Cotter Force, and to gain insight into Yorkshire life, visit the Dales Countryside Museum.

A short drive or a scenic stroll across the meadows will lead you into the market town of Hawes, peppered with independent shops and cafes, as well as rustic pubs for when you fancy a break from the kitchen.

On the outskirts of the Yorkshire Dales, is the cobbled town of Leyburn, a great place for avid walkers to explore the unspoilt countryside and the rugged limestone of Leyburn Shawl.

For a special escape to the Yorkshire Dales, consider the charming High House.

Lovely cosy cottage in the Dales.

Very well equipped. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Ideal for walking though quite isolated. Neighbours were friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful hamlet which was perfect for us and the dog. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.
