Lovely accommodation clean cosy place in the centre for everything would return thank you .

The cottage in is a great position, close to the centre, and a short walk to everything Settle can offer the visitor.

The bedroom is very comfortable and the modern bathroom was very warm with a very good shower. Downstairs has a cosy sofa and the radiators heated up the space very quickly. The kitchen is very well equipped however some things are showing signs of age, wear and tear. Previous guests had left the microwave covered in food splatters and I had to clean it before I could use it. I felt this should have been checked during the changeover time. It would help if a microwave splatter guard was provided for guests use. It's a great place to stay and just needs some attention to detail.

Excellent central location (but be aware that the view is of an alley with bins behind the fish & chip restaurant and Chinese takeaway).

Compact property, but very comfortable with everything you need. Lovely welcome pack with bread, jam, milk, tea/coffee and sweet treats provided which was great. We stayed in March when the weather was chilly, the heating was turned right down when we arrived but soon warmed up once we turned the thermostat up (I can imagine it might get a bit warm in summer, but the windows open to allow air in). All in all we spent a lovely few days here and it was a great base to explore from on foot.

Amazing central location in Settle set back from the road.

However overlooks a little back alley and it does feel a little exposed if anyone is in the alley they can see straight into the living. The bedroom is really comfortable. House was very cold when I arrived and took a good while to heat up. I dont think floor had been cleaned properly as there were bits on the carpet so I had to hoover it on arrival. Also lots of cobwebs. The cottage feels like it would benefit from more maintenance.

We had a lovely pre-Christmas stay at 1 Walkers Barn, which is perfect for 1-2 people who want to explore the area in and around Settle.

There are some beautiful walks & hiking routes locally. Settle is a small town well stocked with plenty cafes, bars & restaurants - we met and chatted to many locals who lived up to the friendly Yorkshire reputation that we love. The home itself is well equipped and has everything you might need to spend time, cook or recuperate. Highly recommended and we will return in the future.

From the moment we walked into Walkers Barn, we felt at home and welcomed into the house.

Our needs had been anticipated and provided for from small things like a pint of milk, a loaf of bread and snacks to blankets and throws.. The house was beautifully decorated, and had a lovely calm and cosy atmosphere . Everything was top quality, just as you would want to have at home. The location was perfect for us; just off the Market Square, close to the shops, Booths Supermarket. and restaurants and takeaways. Who could ask for more ? Being directly behind the chippy and the Chinese takeaway wasn't ever a problem. There was no smell and whenever we bumped into anyone form there, they were always friendly. WE had a fabulous stay.

Excellent location just didn’t realise is was behind a chip shop.

Wasn’t a problem for us as it was winter time therefore didn’t want to sit out side ,but would not be a nice place to sit outside of desired. There was no grill pan. Other than that, a great little cosy comfortable cottage, would use again if in that region and would recommend.

Very compact but fine for two people, brilliant position close to the town centre and bus stop.

Comfy bed and decent shower facility, no parking but very close to public car park which is free overnight. We were able to park up the street nearby as used the bus most days. Bottle of milk and and some goodies were left for us, which was a nice touch. Would definitely use again!

This cottage is so well equipped and it was clean and cozy and a lovely welcome basket of goodies was left for me. Location is perfect for enjoying Settle. Highly recommend staying here.

This is a well equipped and comfortable cottage The outlook isn’t great as it looks onto the back of a fish and chip shop and a Chinese takeaway with all their industrial sized bins but the smells are divine That said it is well positioned for the centre of Settle and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again The owner communicates in a friendly manner offering to help if any problems arise which they didn’t

Loved the property and an ideal location for the centre of Settle.

Really liked the goodies left a nice touch. The bed was lovely and comfortable had a good night's sleep.

Charlotte has thought of everything you need for a relaxing stay. Bathroom is lovely and bed is super comfortable.

Lovely cute cottage- Bed was super comfy and decor inside was immaculate.

Good information about local area provided and loved the milk/biscuits left for us- nice touch. Cottage positioned perfectly for all amenities and parking costs reasonable. Outside of cottage could do with weeding/tidying up. Also after a while hunting we found the fridge light was the source of a really annoying buzzing sound.

A little gem of a cottage.

Close to all the amenities that Settle has to offer and great walks from the door. We had a fabulous weekend. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

We absolutely love the cottage, which has everything you need and a lovely welcome pack. Amazing location, with town and countryside on the doorstep.

Cottage was lovely, close to all amenities, pubs,restaurants and food food outlets.

Walker's Barn is ideally placed in Settle - as well as being close to the shops and amenities it was perfect for us as it was only a few metres from friends that we were visiting.

The house is compact but has everything needed for 2 people, and importantly a comfortable bed. the house is very nicely decorated, and a lovely welcome pack was left for us. I would definitely stay again.

A great clean, warm, well appointed property, decorated to a really good standard.

The cottage is in a prime location within 3 minutes walk to the centre of Settle, yet far enough away for a quiet and relaxing break. Quality Fish and Chip Shop, Pizza outlet and a Chinese takeaway literally 1 minute from the cottage door. Great communication from the owner before, during and after the rental, and as I left my glasses at the property the owner forwarded them back to me quickly and without fuss. Highly Recommended.

Lovely comfy cottage in a very convenient location.

Car park over the road, free 1800 to 0900. 1 min walk to town centre. Yes, the living area is small and quirky but it didn’t bother us. Kitchen had everything we needed. Lovely welcome pack and great communication with owner. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed very much our 5 nights, and would certainly consider staying again.

The property is very well placed in Settle, just one minute's walk to the centre, and we had no problem parking for free during the week on Church Road, again just a minute's walk the other direction. The bed and sofa are comfortable, the bathroom is spacious with a good pan-shower, and the kitchen has all the essential facilities, including a small dishwasher. We thought the cleanliness throughout was excellent, and were baffled by the one earlier review of the property which questioned this. If there was any "downside" it was that there is no private garden, and being just behind some restuarants, the view from the front is of industrial rubbish bins, with some accompanying noise when being used. However, although this would mean we would not stay here for a main, 2 week summer holiday, this was a minor issue, and would not put us off staying here again, for a short break. Overall, this is a great property, perfectly located in Settle, and we would be very pleased to stay again.

Well maintained, centrally situated and good for a couple who are out doing things during day times.

Size of sitting area, a modestly-sized space at the bottom of the stairs, somewhat limiting in the evenings. We wondered if this area might better suit the dining area. Excellent bedroom and bathroom. Velux window of bedroom needs a blind, we were awoken at sunrise. Outside seating at front of cottage faces the rear of a Chinese takeaway and their rubbish bins, so not useable really. Adverse comments provided to assist owners, not big quibbles. Owner's welcome pack was very kind. Oven was in need of a clean I'm afraid.

Beautiful,fresh and comfortable, we loved our stay , conveniently situated behind the chip shop on the left opposite the carpark (free from 6pm until 9 am)next to the petrol station on the right just as you go under the bridge into Settle.

A lovely and well maintained cottage in the heart of Settle.

The location acted as an ideal hub for the many walks and sights that we wanted to explore during our stay. Additionally, the welcome pack is a nice touch and the cottage itself had everything we needed facilities wise.

Great place to stay , we appreciate the option to stay at late notice, quaint unit its well equipped, upstairs bedroom and bathroom lovely.

Cute little cottage perfectly situated for local amenities and travelling further out. Comfy and cosy, wonderful welcome pack. We don't have a dog yet but Charlotte even thinks of those in her welcome pack. Definitely will be making 1 Walkers Barn our go-to place to stay in the future.

Quirky, well presented, had everything we needed.

The bed was super comfortable. Welcome pack was a nice thought. Easy for walking into Settle. Lovely area, would love to come back.

A beautiful character property nicely furnished with a great town centre location giving access to nearby walks around settle.

Convenient for a short break by train too. Spent a day at Malham cove. Highly recommended if you are seeking a blend of countryside, but with the opportunity to use town amenities on your evening return. The best pet friendly (one dog) property we have stayed in.

All as advertised,very clean and tidy.

All household items available from a potato peeler to a pair of scissors, the welcome pack was a nice surprise. The bed was extremely comfortable as was the living area. Location in the centre of settle was ideal, set back from the main road and yet quite. All in all a modern smart apartment ideal for our needs with an high standard of care taken to ensure a quality,worthy of year round occupancy. Thank you.

Such a great place to stay.

Cottage was perfect for our needs. A great base location for walks around Settle and seeing the town. Short trips to Malham and Ingleborough are highly recommended!

Lovely cottage and very cosy, great bed and really lovely furnishings.

We found the cottage in need of a deep clean, the floor in the bathroom was quite dirty and there was dust and hair accumulated on the door. The drawers in the kitchen all had dust and crumbs in, and the door behind the sofa had lots of cobwebs and bits of plant growing through the gaps. We couldn’t adjust the heat level in the bedroom (maybe an issue with the radiator?) and the toilet roll holder is loose in the bathroom. Please also be aware that we saw 3 or 4 rats outside the front of the property in daytime and nighttime, just in case the property is going to be empty you don’t want them getting in!

Very clean, with all the little extras you need. Our dogs loved it too.

We had a four day xmas break at Walkers Barn,I can only say that it made our Christmas very special.

Nicely modernised cottage, situated in a quiet position a few minutes walk from the centre of Settle.

Car parking available in short-stay car park 2 minutes walk away, with long-stay car park 5 minutes walk away - £15 for a weekly ticket. Contact with owner easy and helpful.

We had a truly amazing time.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful has everything you could possible want or need. Including extras that you don’t expect like gorgeous smelling hand soaps and diffusers. Charlotte is a wealth of knowledge about the area and happy to help. She leaves a welcome pack that exceeds most. Would stay again and recommend in a heart beat.

Absolutely beautiful cottage!

Really cosy and welcoming. The owner was really helpful & the thought and effort she'd put in to make it a lovely place to stay was perfect. As a single mum with my son & 2 dogs it was safe and also very affordable!, The neighbours were lovely too which is fantastic. I would definitely like to go there again. Fantastic and homely place to spend your holiday. A homely and luxurious cottage.

Walkers Barn is the perfect little holiday gem!

It is tastefully decorated with lovely touches like Denby pottery and feather quilt and pillows - and with fabulous pubs, cafes and shops plus beautiful walks all from the front door - we couldn’t have wanted more and will be very happy to return!

Property was as explained and expected.

Really well situated for public transport (less than 10 min to the train station) and supermarkets/restaurants (less than 5 min to the main square of Settle). In relation to the property: well distributed and comfortable cottage, everything looked new and clean. Bathroom and bedroom very big with plenty of wardrove/cupboards to put our stuff. We really enjoyed the comfy sofa and the full fitted kitchen. Highly recommend this cottage

A hidden gem just off the main street in Settle , behind the Fisherman chip shop, your sat nav takes you to the other end of Church Street.

It was perfect for a couple with or without a small dog. A small welcome pack - butter, bread, milk and some cookies and fudge really nice. Excellent kitchen fittings and all you need . We decide not to cook as there is plenty of choice along the main street. I'd like to say no don't go just so we can keep it for our selves but no if you want somewhere in Settle / in the Dales please do book this cottage

Lovely cottage, well situated for all the town's amenities.

Approx. 10-12 minutes walk from the railway station and just a few minutes walk to the nearest bus stop. Welcome pack on arrival which was a nice touch and everything is good quality from the crockery to the bedding. Really couldn't fault the property. Just one niggle which was that the instructions we were given to find the cottage were not very good.

Wasn’t properly stated that it didn’t have a enclosed area, wasn’t the cleanest (opened/out of date food left in cupboards) isn’t really located in the best place and had to pay for parking.
