Holly Cottage

Great accommodation and location with Friendly owners.

Super comfy beds. All the kitchen equipment you need (no freezer compartment, which ww would only have used for freezer blocks anyway). Was always a 20-30 minute drive through the gorgeous countryside (loved all the hay bales and wheat fields in July) to various places to visit: Skegness for rides and arcades, Mablethorpe for beach and paddling pool for small kids, Moggs Eye and Boatshed cafe for good food and smoothies, Louth/Hubards Hill for stream to paddle in and picnic.

Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything you could need.

Nicely furnished with outside space for sitting out. The location is rural and quiet but not too far from places of interest. Very nice helpful hosts. I would rebook.

Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful setting.

Very comfortable. Spotless throughout. Only slight disappointment was no freezer. Would have been nice in the current hot weather. However would recommend and would stay again.

This is a great holiday cottage for a few days or weeks stay it is situated in a beautiful part of Lincolnshire without having to travel far for many more charming towns and villages the hosts were very helpful with local information and made our stay very enjoyable the cottage is well equipped, very clean and a credit to the owners.

The cottage was comfortable and quiet in a lovely rural location.

All of the rooms were very clean and everything we needed was provided. The hosts were welcoming on arrival and gave us with some ideas of local places to visit in the day. There was also plenty of space for parking. We would recommend Holly Cottage for a short break.

Our second visit, the cottage is very comfortable.

It is in a great location in lovely countryside and only a short drive to the coast. There are great walks from the door in this peaceful setting. There was a warm welcome from the owners with helpful information when needed

Wonderful cottage and countryside We had a lovely stay and would stay again.

Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable, good base for seeing Linconshire.

Lovely clean cottage with welcoming owners.

Peaceful location surrounded by countryside.

What a wonderful stay at Holly Cottage.

From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed—especially with the lovely welcome pack, such a thoughtful touch! The cottage was absolutely spotless and beautifully presented, making our stay all the more comfortable and relaxing. We had a fantastic time and would love to return one day. --- Let me know if you’d like to add anything personal, like a favorite moment or recommendation!

We loved everything about this cottage.

It was very well kept, clean, convenient and comfortable and the location was excellent. The welcome was warm and the delicious breakfast pack was a bonus. Our hosts Keith and Dawn were very helpful and keen to ensure we had a nice break. We had a lovely quiet and peaceful break and enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside and beaches.

This is an excellent holiday cottage.

Well equipped kitchen, everything you need. Comfy bed n seating area. Owners on hand if needed. Would definitely book again.

A beautiful, homely, well kept cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break.

The pictures are exactly as the cottage is, except for different salt and pepper pot and there is now a cover on the sofa :). From the minute you make a booking you are kept well informed of everything you may need to know. If the owners, Dawn and Keith, are not around they will advise how to get the key. When we arrived Keith came to meet us and had a chat, explaining a couple of things, including details of the under stairs cupboard, which my granddaughters were very interested in (all will be clear if you visit). Not that anything needs explaining because there is a folder in with all the information you may require. The kitchen is very well equipped, including a George Foreman grill, which came in very useful, especially when cooking the breakfast pack (good quality ingredients) that was a great find in the fridge, along with some milk, which came in handy with the teabags and coffee that was also in the cottage, along with some sugar if needed. There is also a washing machine, with a rotary line if needed, along with a couple of washing pods and pegs. There is a large TV with a DVD player as well as some DVDs, also a CD player with a selection of CDs. Upstairs was just as good. The beds were so comfy. The quilts were of good quality and I have never seen pillows so plump. I sleep with 2 pillows at home and I had to remove one when sleeping at the cottage. That with the peace and quiet, except for the odd chirping bird made for great nights sleep, even for the little ones. Waking up to the birds chirping and the light shining through makes for a great start to a day. The idea of being able to sleep with the blinds up on the velux windows is lovely. The bathroom was very well equipped with a lovely deep bath and a shower overhead, with some toiletries provided as well. Along with a good selection of towels. Throughout the whole cottage there is plenty of storage, which is an unusual find within a holiday home. A good size for 4 people. There is also a single storey cottage attached. There were people in there at the same time as we were. I was concerned that they had heard my granddaughters who can be lively at times but they had heard nothing. The insulation is amazing which kept the cottage cozy. On leaving both Dawn and Keith came to see us. They are really friendly and helpful. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Perfect for us .

Price was the clincher , but when I looked at the location , access to where we were going etc , a little drive ,but we dont mind , as it gives us chance to explore new places . Upon arrival met with a very clean , spacious comfy cottage , beds comfy , all appliances and a breakfast pack too ! , easy to access and plenty of parking , with options to visit there pub in the week too although we spent all our days exploring and day trips so didnt have food there . Great comms from the host. We were lucky with the weather too ! bonus . We would certainly stay again , thank you very much :)

Lovely cottage in a very peaceful location.

We had ample parking as the pub was closed for the duration of our stay. The facilities were great and the beds very comfortable (great pillows!) The kitchen was well equipped, though some foil, wrap and kitchen roll would have been useful - though we managed. And the breakfast pack was a lovely surprise and very tasty. We enjoyed coffee at the nearby Claythorpe Mill and a great day trip into Lincoln on the Park & Ride. Thanks for a great stay :)

We stayed for a week and were made to feel very welcome the whole time, the cottage and facilities were just what we were looking for and the food at the pub was lovely, would definitely go again and recommend to friends

Lovely rural property ideal for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

The owners were very welcoming they had left us a breakfast pack in the fridge of sausage and bacon, with milk, eggs and teabags. The food in the railway tavern close by was excellent, home cooked with fresh vegetables available. We loved the friendliness of the landlords Dawn and Keith. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The cottage was cleaned to a high standard and had everything needed we needed for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful well equipped cottage.

Perfect for exploring Lincolnshire. Beautiful food at The Railway Tavern and most welcoming hosts. What more could you want.

We have had a wonderful stay!

The host and hostess were really good and the food in the pub is exceptional

Holly Cottage is an ideal base for exploring Lincolnshire and only a short drive to amazing beaches.

The cottage is lovely, well equipped, very clean and set in a peaceful location with the local pub only a few steps away. The owners are very welcoming and helpful and we took advantage of their tasty home cooked pub meals on most evenings. Shops are a short drive away in Alford and Mablethorpe and pretty Claythorpe Watermill is only a short walk away for breakfast and lunch. Overall we loved our stay here and can’t wait to return. Thank You

Brilliant cottage, lovely and clean with everything we needed.

the breakfast pack was delicious. Dawn and Keith were lovely hosts and the meals in the pub were excellent and reasonably priced well worth a visit

Excellent cottage fitted out with everything you could possibly need, peaceful location.

Great home cooked food at the local pub.

The cottage was just as described.

The pub next door was welcoming and the food was very good. We really enjoyed quiz night too! All in all a great place to holiday.

The property was spotlessly clean .

Very comfortable. Everything you needed. The owners were lovely . The pub across the way which belongs to the owners is next door which serves wonderful home cooked food . The owners left a breakfast pack which was really thoughtful. Will definitely be going back sometime.

Holly cottage exceeded all our expectations.

As a couple we have stayed in lots of holiday cottages and this is one of the best! Immaculately clean and the owners Keith and Dawn are so kind and welcoming and the breakfast they left for us was an extra special treat! Plenty of great places to visit nearby, Seal Sanctuary, Donkey Sanctuary, Lincolnshire Wildlife Park and sandy beaches which stretch for miles. Amazing views of the fields, watching the cows, birds and rabbits so relaxing. Got some great pictures of the sunsets and listened to the owls. The owners also own the Railway Tavern which is a really homely pub serving excellent homemade food and drink at reasonable prices. We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough! We would certainly love to book this cottage again and would give it a 10 out of 10!! Thank you

Fantastic cottage which has everything you need to have a home from home stay.

Perfect central base to explore Lincolnshire. Your hosts are great and will make you so welcome, also you've got the pub opposite the cottage to finish the days exploring. A Very friendly local pub. 10/10 for everything for our stay

A beautiful property.

Everything on hand and immaculately clean. Big bonus having the pub so close to hand. We will definitely return . The area is stunning . Could have stayed there longer and that’s entirely down to the owners and the facilities provided. Even the sun loungers were comfy. The property is in our top 5 of places to stay.

The hospitality the pub food just a fab find thank you both for looking after us all especially Issy .

When I booked the cottage I wasn't sure what to expect but after reading the reviews I booked the cottage and am so pleased I did as I can't rate this fantastic cottage highly enough.

So peaceful, felt so so welcome and cared for by the hosts. We had a meal at the Railway tavern which was really good.

Relatively remote location (not a bad thing these days) but next to a friendly pub with safe covid practices and good food.

Thank you so much Dawn and Keith for making our stay so wonderful.

A much needed long weekend away, fab hosts and a beautiful cottage. We had food in the Railway Tavern on Friday and it was outstanding, very delicious. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

This is a well equiped and very comfortable cottage.

It was very clean indeed and the welcome was beyond our expectations. Although it was part of the Railway Tavern property,it was exceptionaly quite. No outside noises at all. Food at the pub was very good quality and quantity. Would recomend this Cottage to anyone who the counryside and quietness. Hope to return again next year.

A lovely cozy cottage, wonderfully peaceful.

It was lovely laying in bed listening to the Owls.

Cottage is lovely would recommend to anyone, we had a lovely time.

Food at the pub was good .

A tranquil location perfect for a relaxing break.

The proximity of the Tavern provided excellant hospitality, very good food quality and choice and a convenient option to cooking for yourself. A good base for visiting the surrounding area, with easy access to both beach and country.

Lovely cottage in a lovely setting.

Spotless and well maintained by the owners. Very comfortable which was good as the weather didn't match up to the cottage so we spent more time inside than is usual. The facilities in the cottage allowed us to keep ourselves amused. Enjoyed watching rabbits and birdlife in the area wrapping around the cottage. Parking good as the cottage was adjacent to the pub car park. The pub, literally next door, provided an excellent varied menu at a very reasonable cost. Service was unhurried but efficient and always with a friendly face. The owners were always welcoming and the atmosphere and ambience of the pub friendly. When we arrived the we were shown around the cottage and the owners went to great lengths to welcome us including a lovely breakfast pack in the fridge. All in all a lovely trip. Thank you Railway Tavern!

My wife thought the beds were a little uncomfortable but I slept like a log.

Everything else was one of the best cottages we have stayed in, everything you needed for a lovely holiday. The owners were above and beyond for looking after us, we would definitely recommend a holiday here. Thank you.

This cottage is set in a great location from which to explore Lincolnshire.

The cottage itself is one of the best we have stayed in being very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners made us very welcome and we were also very impressed with the quality of food available in their nearby pub. We had a great holiday and highly recommend Holly cottage

A lovely peaceful location ideal for exploring Lincolnshire.

Holly Cottage is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Dawn and Keith are very welcoming and also serve great beer and excellent meals in the Railway Tavern next door. A real gem.

We had a great time at Holly Cottage.

The Railway Tavern was great for meals and friendly atmosphere. The Cottage is well placed to tour Lincolnshire’s beautiful beaches and countryside.Holly Cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming.Provisions for a tasty breakfast were provided for our arrival. The owners who are also the landlords of the Railway Tavern close by were welcoming and accommodating.Lincolnshire is lovely and we had some great days out, everybody seemed friendly and helpful.Very happy memories especially of the Valentine Evening at the pub.Highly Recommended

Excellent cottage in a lovely rural location.

It was very clean and comfortable and we received a lovely breakfast pack upon our arrival. We used the cottage as a base to visit family and it was a joy to come "home" after a nice day out. We were more than happy with the cottage and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The owners run a lovely country pub in the same grounds as the cottage so we did not have to walk far to have a drink or a meal. 30 seconds is about right. Many thanks Chris and Alex . Llandudno.

Lovely cottage.

It was well equipped. Just set back from a quiet road so nice & peaceful. Comfortable bed. Really enjoyed our stay here. Keith & Dawn made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful cottage, super area, really loved it.

We received a lovely warm welcome.

The cottage is beautifully presented; very clean, everything well laid out and having everything we needed ( although a hairdryer would have been welcome- but this is such a minor point). We enjoyed revising the area, despite the weather and can recommend Alford and Louth in particular.

The cottage was well set out with every thing you require.

The food and drink in the pub was first class and the hosts Keith, Dawn and Holly were very helpful about the local area. We look forward to staying there again as it was so quiet and peaceful.

Holly Cottage was really great for us, all mod equipment all clean and tidy, Beds were comfortable, plenty of room in lounge, with large TV, CD&DVD player.

The Bonus was being near to The Railway Tavern who served really great meals at reasonable prices, Not far to nearby resorts and ideal for days out. One of the quietest places we have ever stayed at a really relaxing place. A great weeks holiday, many thanks, Michael & Barbara Roberts.

This is an excellent holiday cottage which is a first class base for visiting places in lincolnshire.

The hosts Keith and Dawn who own the local Railway Tavern provide a warm welcome and excellent food and a very sociable environment.
