A very comfortable place with great facilities. Our boys loved the hot tub and pool even though it was cold, the tennis court and the big TV. The host was wonderful so helpful and added lots of little touches to make the week even more special. We would definitely book again.

  • "Such a lovely Cottage, warm, cosy and clean."

Loads of board games and a good DVD selection. The jacuzzi was in a lovely private area of the property. The pool area had plenty of seating and BBQs. There's even a tennis court and basket ball hoop too. Lots of pool toys and bikes for free use too. The welcome bottle of fizz, home made brownies, fresh chicken eggs and local honey was a greatly appreciated. I will definitely visit again.

  • "Great cottage."

The owner is very friendly an helpful. Village of Saxilby approx 2.5 miles away. There a co-op, 2 good pubs and a few take aways. A great café called Scrummies where you get a great breakfast and great cake where they give you very large portions for a very good price. The Red Arrows practice nearby which is great to watch. Buses and trains to Lincoln which is a beautiful city.

  • "What a superb holiday home, everything you could wish for and more."

We were on holiday with our daughter and grandchildren aged 11 and 14 and were unsure if cottage was too small but that was not the case, the extra bed was comfortable and not too small and there was plenty of space for us all. There was everything and more provided that you would need. Unfortunately our holiday was in February so we didn't use the pool but it looked so inviting. We did however use the Hot Tub every night, it was glorious! We went to Lincoln twice, it only 6 miles away, and a couple of other trips recommended by the owners we really enjoyed them all. I would also like to mention the free aerobatic displays by the red arrows who are stationed at RAF camp a few minutes away. The only negative was that the TV reception wasn't very good it needed a boost, but who goes on holiday to watch TV. We all had a wonderful holiday and will return, next time in warmer weather to try out the pool.

  • "Clean, comfortable and - importantly in November - warm."

The owner is very friendly and the chickens very good at laying eggs for our breakfasts. The kitchen is well-equipped, the hot tub was private and relaxing, the swimming pool I will leave to others more hardy at this time of year but I'm sure would be lovely in warmer weather. We had an excellent holiday here, with lots of free displays by the Red Arrows as an added bonus! I would recommend Pool Cottage for a relaxing family break, and may well be back myself.

Wow it was brilliant. The owner was warm, welcoming and helpful. Those home made brownies were delicious and we loved the eggs from your chickens. The beds were comfortable, the underfloor heating was delightful and we all thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hottub. There was no better way to end the day than an evening sat infront of the log fire. We will definitely be back.

  • "Lovely property that has the potential to be stunning with a bit of TLC, especially in the outside and garden areas."

Tidying up around the grounds and tennis court (better still a new tennis court) would make this property much more luxurious. It looks like the hot tub had plans to be moved which would be a bonus for improved privacy. Internally, the double bed needs replacing as it's not comfortable but otherwise inside the cottage is perfect! Some lovely welcoming touches. All in all, an excellent property in a great location with a lovely host.

  • "This was a gem of a property nestled into the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside."

It has a well-appointed kitchen and was clean and comfortable. There were some lovely welcoming touches including the provision of fresh eggs from the chickens in the garden, home-made Brownies and some Prosecco. The property enjoys great facilities with an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. The location is excellent with the lovely city of Lincoln about six miles away. I would also recommend a trip to International bomber Command on the outskirts of Lincoln.

The double bed is very uncomfortable and the bed moves all night. Just needs some love and attention over all. The cottage has everything you need, and more. Had a fantastic holiday, and would like to go back, but when it’s all spick and span

I can’t thank you enough. The cottage was cosy and the kitchen is gorgeous with home made eggs and brownies, loads of little touches. We mainly used the hot tub and just relaxed the whole time, my little dog loved sleeping in front of the real log fire too as it was getting cold. The underfloor heating in the bathroom is amazing too, the list could go on. My boyfriend and I will defiantly love to return in the future! Thank you so much Rosie

  • "The cottage was beautiful; it was so clean and welcoming, and we really appreciated the freshly baked chocolate cake and bottle of bubbles!"

Due to Covid we didn’t really want to go out, but the cottage had everything that we could have needed. The only downside was that we didn’t realise the garden was shared, so we were a bit reluctant to use the hot tub as there was nearly always someone else in the garden. Having said that, we picked a pretty chilly week!

Lovely cosy cottage with a wonderful large outdoor area. Swimming pool was warm and a fabulous size with a lovely clean hot tub. Plenty of indoor and out door seating. Well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels with my morning brew in from the garden room. A week wasn't long enough, so much we didn't get chance to do. What can I say absolutely amazing lady, she made us feel welcome from day one and nothing was to much trouble, she was lovely with my very busy four year old and took him to feed her chickens and collect eggs every day, my son took a shine to Robin by the end of the week he would be getting up from bed and saying I'm going to see Robin, really didn't want to leave this Beautiful place, would definitely return.. • "Excellent communication before during and after our stay."

Prior to arrival we had emails ensuring we knew where we were going, asking if we would like the log burner lit and how we wanted the beds set up. Upon arrival the log burner was roaring, beautiful little touches as mentioned in other reviews such as: homemade brownies, milk, fresh eggs, a bottle of prosecco and dog treats. Towels were provided (tea towels, bath towels, hot tub towels and even dog towels). Kitchen is equipped with cling film, washing up liquid, scooters dish cloths, kitchen roll, cooking oil, salt and pepper and even dishwasher tablets (which you do not normally have in a self catering). Other touches included fresh daffodils, a card inviting us to fetch fresh eggs whenever we wanted. We also had notes during our stay for a little girls offering that they name the chickens. In addition they left chicken food every day for the girls to feed the chickens. The small touches were just what made it even more fabulous. Spotlessly clean, the comfiest beds ever! Could not fault anything. Rosie and Robyn were so welcoming and friendly, they make this place. Lastly we accidentally left our baby monitor behind and Rosie posted this free of charge even though we offered the postage. How very kind. Fabulous service!!!! Will definitely return. :)

The house was spotless inside, and the log fire roaring in the living room on arrival. A welcome ‘pack’ of a bottle of bubbly, fresh eggs, milk and some rather nice chocolate brownies was waiting for us in the kitchen, very nice touch. There was also treats and so on for the small dog that came with us. Rosie (the housekeeper) even brought a lovely birthday card for me when she found out that was why we were there. She is so lovely and helpful, a small problem was fixed very very quickly. We would highly recommend this cottage, and are looking to book again soon.

Great hot tub and pool ( we didn’t use the pool it was February and it was too cold) but would be great in warmer weather. Everything you could wish for in the kitchen, extra special touches from the owners ( it was my birthday) left a cake, card and a bottle of bubbles which was such a lovely gesture and 6 rather lovely eggs from their chickens and milk in the Fridge. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We will be back to this cottage as we loved it. Also visited Lincoln can recommend Margaret’s tea shop for afternoon tea and the dam busters pub for dinner, we will be back
