Ashtree Cottage

We had a great week in the cottage.

It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was really comfy. It was handy having the bus services at the bottom of the road. We used them both to Hull and Withernsea. Lots of lovely walks directly from the cottage. Would definitely return.

.excellent amenities supplied we had everything we needed. Fabulous mattress on bed with great quality bedding and pillows for a comfortable sleep.Lovely sized bath sheets and quality.Benefited by a lovely private patio area at the rear of the property with good chairs supplied for relaxing after a day of exploring the area. we have stayed in several cottages over the years but this was a fabulous all rounder and we would not hesitate in staying again.Owners were lovely and friendly but left you in peace to enjoy your holidays but were there if you needed anything.Could be a little noisy for some traffic wise as the road /lane ran along the edge of the property but it is a rural area with lots of surrounding farms so is to be expected and it did not bother us at all..in fact it was lovely to engage with the local horse riders who passed the cottage in the evenings..i loved that..in fact the whole place felt like a home from home to us and we did not want to leave which is a good measure of how well appointed and homely Ashtree cottage is.

The accommodation was first class - clean, comfortable and with everything we could have needed.

Very dog friendly with a private drive, patio and small lawn together with outdoor furniture. We felt reassured that our dog was safe and secure when outside. Due to bad weather we didn't get to sit out much but it would be perfect in the sunny summer months. We would highly recommend Ashtree Cottage to couples with canine companions.

Accommodation was as expected, right up to standard.

Good walks direct from the gate. Well positioned for trips to Hull and the seaside.

Faultless, superbly appointed and extremely comfortable, owners must be congratulated on the design and quality of finish.

Apreciated the small touches like the yorkshire tea, but special mention for the best nights sleep ive ever had in a holiday let, will be buying some of those pillows myself. Having to diet now thanks to the lovely cakes from the stall outside.

Outstanding place, easy to find, great communication by the host, clean place, very well equipped, lots of amenities, comfy bed, very quiet place.

Cottage as described and as per photos on website. Very clean and fully equipped. Lovely dog walks from the doorstep but ideally situated being close to many countryside attractions and towns to explore. Also only a short drive to the coast. We had a great short break and would happily stay again.

Ashtree Cottsge was very clean and comfortable.

It was equipped with everything you need. A lovely back garden area to do a bit of sunbathing. Very secure for a dog, and very private. The house next door does a lovely selection a of cakes on Saturdays and Sundays in their honesty box (the apple cake was lovely). Would recommend Ashtree to all my friends and family.

Bright and airy detached accomodation.

Comfortable bed with terrific pillows. All mod cons. Good base for touring the wider area. We will definitely return if visiting the area again.

We would not hesitate to recommend or return. The small enclosed garden is ideal if you have a dog with you.

Ashtree is an ideal cottage for two people.

It is very well equipped and comfortably furnished. On arrival it was spotlessly clean. The location is ideal for visiting local attractions. Although near a road, there is very little traffic noise. There is sheltered outside space with chairs and loungers and the dedicated parking is right by the front door which makes unloading the car very easy. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean cosy cottage.

Everything you could possibly want/need only thing to spoil it was the shower which isn’t very big at all. King size bed is very comfy, the only gripe was the bed was far too near to the walls on either side. Lovey stay and lovey weather .

Immaculate cottage which has everything you need.

Lovely few days in great little cottage.

Perfect for a dog. Had everything you could want for a short break. Clean and comfortable. Parking and enclosed. Surrounding walks in the morning and evening were lovely and the nearby coast and estuary walks perfect for the day time- lots of wildlife to see. Unfortunately I hadn’t done my research and wasn’t aware that you couldn’t take dogs down to spurn point itself but the walks northwards from the spurn discovery centre were still worthwhile.

Lovely cosy cottage, very clean and the best nights sleeps on the comfiest mattress ever!

The bedroom space on both sides of the bed is very tight and more difficult by the window due to the radiator. Could do with a few more essentials in kitchen like a colander & a smaller frying pan that fits the hob elements, a clock that is working! maybe a washing up bowl wouldn’t go amiss, but not essential. Our only major issue was the shower enclosure was very, very tight! Bi-fold door would give a wider better entrance as this was a problem for us and we couldn’t use the shower! Enclosed off road parking & garden area is very good and great for dogs. We even sat outside as the weather was brilliant.

We had another wonderful stay at Ashtree Cottage.

We find it to be very well equipped,& for winter months the central heating is extremely efficient. The woodburner is a real joy for cosy evenings in. The cottage is spotlessly clean, & has quality bedlinen & towels. It's in a rural setting so it's quiet & peaceful but within a short distance of the coast & small towns and villages, Tom & Ami are great hosts - very helpful if you need anything but never obtrusive. Looking forward to our next stay!

Amazing property, warm, comfortable and very clean.

We have stayed at Ashtree Cottage on five occasions and never been disappointed.

The cottage is clean and welcoming and ideally situated to enjoy all the facilities of the area around Spurn Head. We will doubtless be returning next year.

Absolutely immaculate accommodation- the original barn building converted to the highest specifications.

Clean cottage, criticism's were very small blanket for bed and small two seater settee in living room.

The cottage is overall small in layout. Cottage is located on a lane but bedroom is at the front of property and is exposed to fast traffic using the lane.

The cottage was really nice spotless and cozy, enjoy our stay, if you are a light sleeper the bedroom window is really close to the road and you here the traffic going up and down, as we do about 5 Sykes cottages a year I think a welcome basket would be nice or at least a small bottle of milk as there was a few tea bags and some coffee thanks again.

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage as much as we did last year for our first visit.

All our needs were well catered for.The cottage is clean and comfortable,and well situated for what we want to do in the area.

What a lovely, modern, well equipped cottage!

Me, my partner and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the recommended local walks mentioned in the welcome pack as well as the other recommendations. The cottage is situated far enough out into the country where it's peaceful and quiet but not too far where it's not inaccessible and makes a great base for days trip and nice walks.

Excellent cottage in all respects.

One of the best we have stayed in over 40 years of cottage holidays. Very clean and tidy. Kitchen had everything you needed. Comfortable bed. Especially liked the off road parking behind a gate so dog was secure. Garden furniture provided if you were lucky to have a good sunny week which unfortunately we didn't (maybe next time). Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

My second visit to Ashtree Cottage (the first time I've returned anywhere) and was again as described.

Clean, tidy and well equipped, a comfortable bed and a new (since my last visit) electric reclining sofa. A good base to go walking and exploring the nearby area.

Ashtree cottage is a delight, well appointed and very well equipped.

Although the owners live next door the cottage is private, the owners are invisible until you need the smallest of things or information and they appear like a gene from the lamp. Despite a minor road in front, it was very quiet and a perfect location for the whole east coast. We had a wonderful relaxing time. Tony and Sally with our Jack Russel, Jackson.

Lovely comfortable stay.

Everything we needed. Easy recycling bins too ! Great to have an enclosed space for the pup. He loved it. Great base for days out in the car. Lovely Indian takeaway/restaurant around the corner ,and the Watts Arms , dog friendly pub nearby. Definitely return.

Our second visit and just as lovely as the first.

Location great for coast and Spurn Point. In quiet lane, owners next door if needed. Easy access with parking next to door making loading/ unloading easy. Compact but modern, well designed, and fitted out. We always go in January so the living room with log burner, recliner sofa and Netflix TV is great for cold night in.

The property was nice and cosy, had everything we needed.

It was all in good order and clean, good choice of DVDs etc, nice area and some good walks for us and our dog would highly recommend this property

The cottage was perfect for us as a couple, well equipped & well furnished.

Location is ideal for us visiting family in Withernsea but in a peaceful location, we’ll situated for exploring the rest of the East Coast. Private parking is a must for us so all round it was ideal and we will be booking to return Thank you

Ashtree Cottage is one of the best equipped cottages in which we have stayed.

The facilities also included a washing machine, dishwasher, and toaster. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the Wi-Fi was excellent. Although we did not make use of it, there was a DVD player and a large selection of DVDs provided. The property was secure with robust gates so that our dog was quite safe and there was plenty of parking space. Our only difficulty was with the shower as the sliding door is quite narrow- it was a bit of a squeeze as I am mobility restricted. Good quality towels were provided. The cottage has full central heating plus a wood-burner in the lounge. A nearby bridle path can be used for dog walking, but we also took our dog to Hornsea beach (great fish & chips), Spurn Visitor Centre (great breakfasts and dog friendly), Burton Constable Hall (great cooked meals and dog-friendly), Burton Agnes Hall and the Humber Bridge Country Park. It is advisable to refuel one's vehicle on route to the cottage as there are few petrol stations in the local area. Ash Tree Cottage is a credit to the owners and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Excellent property very cosy and clean outside court yard very safe for our dog it's a shame weather was very changeable so we were unable to sit out there I would imagine in the summer it would be a beautiful sun trap I would recommend anyone to stay there so comfortable.

A clean comfortable and well equipped cottage good yard security for the dog spoilt by being positioned at the side of a busy T junction with speeding traffic and agricultural machinery,We witnessed 2 near misses during our stay this could have gone into the cottage.

The smallest cottage we've ever stayed in but no lack of space due to cleverly-designed conversion.

We like cooking and we're usually frustrated by insufficient kitchen cupboard space. No such problem here. Warm, comfortable, clean and a comfortable bed

This cottage is well placed for Beverly, Hornsea and Spurn head but something of a stretch for the North York Moors.

The low maintenance garden was ideal for our very old dog. The cottage itself was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The description might have said that the cottage back and one side walls form the corner of two roads, one of which was quite busy. The village store at Patrington was very good; likewise the Cakey Bakey tea room.

Amazing cottage everything you need and secure garden for the dog.

Wood burner was amazing in the zero temperatures. Owners lovely and friendly and the cottage is a credit too then it’s spotless and he’s was so comfy. We visited Withernsea, Bridlington and Hornsea beaches are great at this time of year for the dogs. Went to Mr Moos ice cream parlour and had fish and chips from the award winning Whiteheads fish and chip shop who cater for gluten free. Love the bungalow that much it’s awesome and so peaceful and saw lots of wildlife we’ve already booked to come back in November. Thanks Ami and Tom

Excellent holiday cottage equipped with everything you might need.

In a quiet location yet close to both city and coast.

We were delighted with Ashtree Cottage when we stepped inside for our short break.

Beautifully clean and well presented there was everything we needed for the two of us. Local walks and a pub restaurant meant there was no need to have to go far but plenty to see such as Spurn Point by car. Plenty of handy information provided. A very enjoyable getaway. Thank you.

Beautiful little cottage in the countryside.

Everything just as advertised Comfortable bed well equipped kitchen nice lounge with log fire. Owners have thought of everything a couple needs for a relaxing stay in the countryside.

I had a very enjoyable, quiet and relaxing week at the beginning of December and with no booking for the following week would have stayed on but for needing to get home.

The cottage is as described, clean, warm (it was below freezing most of the week I was there), comfortable and very well equipped. I've been visiting lodges/cottages for a few years now and this is certainly one that I'd go back to.

The place was perfect.

It was clean modern, new, comfortable but with elements of luxury. I can’t think of anything missing. We had a lovely week away, change of environment was just what we needed. Ideal for winter stay with the log fire or summer stay with the outdoor mini patio space. Would highly recommend! Thankyou

Well positioned for recreational pursuits, within 20 minutes of Spurn Head. Thoroughly recommended.

The area is countryside. Lovely eateries very close by. Short drive to the coast at Withernsea. Half and hour drive to Hull Old Town. The owners were available if needed and communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

The cottage is well presented very clean and very well equipped with everything you need.The garden is ideal for your dog.would definitely recommend ashtree cottage.

A very clean comfortable cottage in the countryside , ideal for a short break .

The only downside was the shower room , it is very small ,there is just enough standing space when getting out of the shower , you are literally touching the basin and toilet with your towel when drying yourself. Anyone with slight mobility problems wouldn't be able to use the shower.

The second time we have been here and it was still absolutely fabulous.

The cottage is located on a very quiet country road, that has some handy walks on your doorstep that you can explore with your dog , we found the cottage to be in a good location for the area to explore and visited most of the seaside places for some great walks on the beaches.

We found the cottage had everything we wanted for the week and survived the hottest 2 days of the year! , we will definitely be recommending this property to others and we hope to visit again in the future.

I tap on something and nothing happens! As for Ashtree Cottage, it was brilliant. Lovely cottage, private sitting out area, comfortable living space, lovely log fire for cold evenings, an essential dishwasher! It was our 2nd visit, this time for 2 weeks. We continued exploring the area, there’s plenty to see and do. Kinuko, the owner was helpful, around to help but not intrusive. She loved our little rescue cat, who always goes to cottages with us, she’s very timid and well behaved, (the cat is)! The Halsham Waterside Farm shop and café worth popping up the road for. Great food, lovely helpful staff, wonderful fresh veg & fruit - all reasonably priced. I’m sure we’ll be back again sometime, a lovely area to visit.

We had a really nice two night stay here in early December, the property is on a very quiet road with a secure outside area for the car and the dog to sniff around.

The cottage was very clean and very comftable. Situated within driving distance of both Hull and the coast it was perfect for our stay.

Very clean , well stocked cottage.

The village it's in is nice and it's very close to the coast. The host was lovely and very helpful. We took our belgian malinois with us who is a pretty big dog and it was no issues. Lots of dog friendly places the beaches all allowed dogs and we found plenty of pubs and shops etc who were dog friendly .

We were surprised how lovely the area was, people very welcoming to our dog and good places to eat.

Beverly is a lovely city and a great place to shop.
