  • "Lovely place to stay."

Amenities were great so easy to use. Owners kept in touch. Would recommend to others. We would stay there again. Hot tub was great. Not enough radiators. Is the only downside but wasn’t a major issue.

The owners had thought of everything so even if we had forgotten something, it was there. The property was very clean and tidy. It was lovely and warm and very homely. The owners we fantastic, they contacted us with lots of information and were extremely helpful and always available if needed. Overall, lovely property and a lovely environment. We had a lovely and rested time. We would certainly go back again.

  • "The cabin was clean , tidy and well stocked."

The owner engaged with me before and during our stay. The site is much smaller than the info would suggest with the ' lake' being more if a pond and the cabins are closer together than they look in the photos. I was however disappointed with the reaction from the owner when the shower in the main bathroom was broken . The owner did respond quickly but was unable to fix it during our stay. I was dismayed that her texted response to me was that the bath still functioned! ( Unfortunately 1 of the guests with mobility issues could get into a bath but would not have been able to get out.) True, there was an ensuite but using it felt like encroaching on the private space of other guests Luckily we were a group of very good and established friends. We had a great time.

Hi Louise We are so glad you enjoyed your 2 night stay at the lodge and thank you for informing us of the issue you had with the shower tap. The plumber attended the next day and it is now working properly. Thanks again Vicki and Andy Property Owner

it had a lovely feel it was like home from home but without all the hustle and bustle of home. The hot tub was a great added bonus. We were looking for a quiet rest and relaxing week and we found exactly that from this lodge. The owners of the Lodge should be proud of themselves and their standards are above and beyond.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so pleased you both had such a relaxing time. It is always our aim to ensure our guests have everything they need when they stay with us. Thank you again Vicki and Andy Property Owner

  • "Absolutely amazing everything was so well orangised."

Home from home comfort. I would say only downside was the cabin was not on the lake as we first thought but that was our error for not checking that out. Did not cause any problems as lake was a short walk away. Again brilliant cabin everything and more catered for. Highly recommended 5 star

Thank you Jim and Jan, so very glad you enjoyed your stay and for the lovely review. Despite the lodge not being on the lake itself we have tried to ensure that our guests have everything they need for their well earned holiday, and as you say, the lake is a short walk away. Ideal if you need quiet and peaceful location. The bonus of the fishing lake was another asset. Only a few minutes drive away we found several places to eat out. • "A perfect place to stay - clean, comfortable and in beautiful, tranquil surroundings."

The location was great with shops and pubs in close proximity for supplies and eating out. We especially liked the little cafe at the nearby golf centre and used the driving range we visited. Both Doddington Hall/cafe and Whisby Garden Centre are also well worth a visit too. We loved the hot tub and were really happy that the sun made an appearance several times during our stay so we could indulge ourselves with a glass of prosecco whilst relaxing in it! We would definitely recommend Sunset Lodge if you're looking for a relaxing break and will return in the future.

  • "We arrived on the Friday afternoon."

A telephone call to Vicki, the site manager, allowed us through the entrance barrier with directions to the Lodge and the key code to the property. On entering, we found a large spacious lodge with everything we would need for our stay. The whole lodge was clean and immaculate. Shortly after arriving Vicki came to introduce herself and told us that should any problem arise, she was on the site 24/7. What was immediately noticable was how quiet the site was. The lodges are well spaced out so you get no noise from other visitors. For us, the main attraction of this site was the fishing lake that is well stocked with several different fish species. Not having fished for several decades, we were amazed at how quickly the fish took our bait (garlic sausage being the favorite for the smaller fish). There are also some very large Carp that will take floating bread from the surface right in front of you. After a hard days fishing, it was great to spend the evening relaxing in the large Hot Tub. Outside the site their are several places to eat within a 5 minute drive. I would recommend Demiens on the next roundabout towards Lincoln on the A46 and Pennels Garden Centre directly across the first roundabout. We have stayed in Lodges all over the country three to four time a year and usually never go back to the same place. However, this lodge, the surrounding area and the fishing lake will see us again soon. I would highly recommend a stay at Sunset Lodge No6.

We, and the grandchildren, had a great time. The place was lovely and they loved the hot tub. I took Leo (9) and Evlyn (9) for their first fishing experience and they were hooked! They caught lots of silver fish and 2-4 lb carp and they spent many hours there. The site is quiet and nicely tucked away but there are pubs, restaurants and shops only 10 minutes drive away. Lots to see and do in Lincoln.

Very well equipped. For a wet and windy week in February it ticked all the boxes Hot tub, Wifi for our teenage son and a fishing lake braving the elements to catch a few carp. The lodge is very well presented and all beds fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. We had to call the owner after a power cut to the area the internal alarm went off and the wifi had tripped off. With a quick and helpful response everything was up and running again. The site is very nice and I am sure in the warmer months we would have spent more time outside.

Security for the site is also good. Log cabin warm and cosy - underfloor heating.
