The house is so much larger than the photos suggest.

It was on a nice quiet street, with ample parking. It was a little tired and dated inside but this wouldn't put us off going back. Just 2 things to note, there wasn't a bin liner in the general waste bin under the sink and there was no corkscrew. For future guests we would recommend the old boat shed real ale bar and Seasiders fish & chips in Withernsea

Great property.

It’s in an ideal location. Secure garden which was important because of our two dogs. Would definitely book again.

Some things are a little worn and ready for updating but it is clean and very comfortable with everything you need for your holiday. Lovely sea views! Nice and secure garden. Off road parking. Comfortable lounge area. Loved our holiday and will definitely return.

Lovely comfortable property and a short stroll to the beach.

This was our first visit and definitely not our last, what a beautiful relaxing place to stay.

Sitting outside listening to the waves and the birds singing was priceless. Beach close by and town centre with all amenities. Thank you

Sea spray was a quiet holiday retreat,very peaceful.

The garden was a real bonus for Junior, as we knew we could let him out and he was safe. The bungalow was spacious and everything worked. I do think they needed a proper kitchen waste bin, and I did think it might have been a bit cleaner in the kitchen. Minor details as Seaspray is very relaxing.

For the price paid I feel let down.

.I've used Sykes for a number of years but I won't be rushing back.. downstairs bedroom carpet needs cleaning.. upstairs main bedroom also...porch furniture covers are faded and are stained where your head touches.new covers needed.only 1 tea towel provided..and only 1 toilet roll upstairs and downstairs bathroom for 3 adults for the week.. definitely room for improvement

Lovely house in a lovely setting .

Nice big garden and conservatory very relaxing . We arrived around 14.30 and parked on the street as the property was not available till 5pm . On arrival in the house we could smell dirty water . The house was very spacious but some of the carpets were badly stained . The downstairs bathroom has a shower screen that’s difficult to manoeuvre and was very dirty with black mould . However the beds were clean . But one of the twin beds needs a new mattress as very uncomfortable . The curtains in the lounge were difficult to close as curtain had come of the rail . The conservatory furniture was also very stained . However we did not let it spoil our holiday. We spent a lot of time watching the dogs on the garden and sitting in the conservatory . We couldn’t find where the dirty water smell was coming from so we tried using the dishwasher to see if it would resolve the problem . The following morning we noticed water under the sink in the kitchen so we dried it all up and waited to observe for it leaking again . The following morning we reported the leaking sink to the owners when we came back in they had been and tried to resolve the problem . The neighbour next door Colin was an ex plumber and eventually came and took the fittings to pieces and realigned all the piping and luckily we had no further problems . The house is in a lovely setting by the sea It just needs a bit of renovation and tlc . We would definitely book to come again .

Nice house close to sea nice conservatory to sit in watch over garden with rabbits,not allowed in till 5pm is not good and hosts were still there finishing off.

Beautiful property in quiet cup de sac next to sea.

Very comfortable and 10-15 mins walk to town centre. Took a while to get used to oven. Newer pans with lids needed. Had to give crockery thorough clean but that’s due to previous occupants and not owner. Only slight things compared to how wonderful our stay was. Best property we’ve stayed in yet. Would definitely book again and highly recommend.

The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

We spent many happy hours in the conservatory watching the rabbits in the garden, we loved the view across the sea from the back bedroom upstairs, and the accommodation is spacious and was very clean. The parking is great, the situation in the corner very quiet and peaceful, and we are already planning to come back. Our only issue was that the local Tesco didn't stock much dairy-free food but we went to Sainsbury's in Hedon to stock up and found that very good. That is no reflection on the property, but it was something that we will take into account on planning our trip next time - to drive in via Hedon and bring all that we need! We found the fridge-freezer a great size and the washing machine was a bonus. Thank you for your kind hospitality.

A spacious clean property well stocked with all the things you need for self catering.

A long driveway to double garages so plenty of space to park both our vehicles. Lovely big garden but if your dog is a jumper the fence adjoining next door is low and easily cleared when the bunnies are spotted! So relaxing to sit in the conservatory and listen to the incoming tide, the beach is dog friendly except for a small stretch between the piers in town. Withernsea town is small but there's a Tesco, Aldi and a Poundstretcher so you can get everything you need. It's a quiet place so if you want a relaxing, slow paced break it's perfect which was exactly what we wanted. Backing on to the garden there's a small static caravan park but again very quiet and doesn't intrude on using the garden.

Oven difficult to manage/understand

Another lovely stay in this cottage, everything you need is provided although a few updates are needed, the knives/scissors need sharpening and also a new can opener as neither of the two provided work.

All in all a really nice place to stay but just needs a bit of TLC.

The property was,way above all our expectations a stunning beautiful house,very spacious, very comfy.

Love the location fabulous garden and the views are to die for.the conservatory was a very popular place for us both ,to chill out and relax with a glass or two,a credit to the owners..thank you for making our holiday very special, and memorable.

Seaspray is a lovely place especially the conservatory and garden we spent the majority of our holiday there throwing the balls for our two hi dogs, a great location to the beach only being a 5 minute walk away and dog friendly too.

Very peaceful location we loved just sitting with a coffee listening to the birds twittering, the seagulls calling and the waves crashing it was idyllic for us. Comfy beds and sofas and a well equipped kitchen, all in all a fantastic holiday where we would love to return to.

The house is a home away from home with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable.

It's in a great position at the end of a cul-de-sac, so no traffic. It's only a few hundred yards walk to the start of the promenade. I've given this a 4 star as there are minor things that could be improved but overall I would not hesitate to recommend it to others or return myself.

Come here to spend time with family and we all enjoy it.

We thought overall the accommodation was very good and the location was excellent.

However the 5pm check in meant we were fumbling with the key safe in the dark! This was a minor inconvenience and we would most certainly recommend the property. The garden and the close proximity of the beach was perfect for the dog. Kath, David and Mr Rigby the dog.

spent time in the conservatory watching dogs enjoying the spacious garden, it was quiet , easy walk along the prom to town , only thing missing a hose pipe to wash dogs down after being on the beach. Will go again

This house was a perfect size for a family of four plus grandparents.

We made so much use of the spacious conservatory as it got the sun all day. Wild rabbits came to visit the huge garden every day which was lovely to sit quietly and watch from the conservatory. Well equipped modern kitchen, we had a Hello Fresh box delivered and managed to cook evening meals from that. Lovely greeting from the owners as they were there doing some gardening when we arrived. The house does allow pets and there wasn’t any evidence that pets stayed here(smell etc). We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would definitely stay here again!

Seaspray is a real home from home in which we were fully relaxed and comfortable the house had everything you need and the dogs loved the garden fabulous friendly neighbour close to everything you need a visit to spurn point is a must beautiful wildlife reserve will be coming back later in the year.

Even the dog was catered for with 2 bowls (one for food and one for water) not the usual 1 that we have had in other places. Lots if leaflets/booklets with information about places to visit and food menus. Minutes away from the beach which was great for us. Thanks

This property was perfect for us and our two little dogs, the garden is secure and safe, the sun is on the conservatory in the mornings, perfect for breakfast at leisure.

Well equipped k0itchen but the Prego Pizza takeaway/ delivery is excellent. Planning to book again as soon as it is free

In a nutshell it's easier to say what's not to like about the lovely property "Seaspray" !

! It is a lovely modern place, well equiped, comfortable, clean, in a beautiful and peaceful location and a pleasure to stay in. We will be returning to stay again one day that's for sure!! Thankyou to the owners Susan and Jeff for allowing us and our two Labradors to stay.

Stayed for a month, we were very comfortable, we lacked nothing.

The big garden was a huge bonus as we had 2 dogs and would certainly book again.

The property is in a great location with amazing views of the sea.

It is a short walk to Withernsea shops along the promenade. The beds were very comfortable. The garden is huge and our dogs enjoyed it. The conservatory is a lovely place to sit and admire the view. The property still needs some updating. It had everything we needed and was very clean. We had a fantastic holiday.

The house was in a good spot for the seaside and peacefull location, The town was only 15 mins walk, would return for the house itself and location

Our 2nd visit to this property without the dogs this time.

Kitchen is a massive improvement. My fav spot is the conservatory facing the door reading my book after a day out. The squeaky floorboards in the master bedroom drove me crackers and I loved having the window open listening to the sea. Think I only went in the front room twice. Our days out, Hull shopping, Bridlington, Beverley. The Deep in Hull is fantastic, for £17.75 and you can return for free within a year. Most of the museums in hull are free, streetlife museum well worth a visit. Everyone friendly. Watch out for humongous portions of food from all pubs.

Fantastic break, really relaxing.

Well equipped if somewhat schizophrenic property. Feels like a work in progress from older persons property to modern holiday let. Our constructive advice would be to complete one room at a time rather than current scattergun approach. Having said that we really enjoyed our visit and would urge you to make more of the beach/sea view.

The property Seaspray was very good, and a great position for the promenade and town centre.

The holiday was ruined by having a building site at the adjoining property and constant noise and banging and sawing from 8.30am until 8.30pm at night. We could not sit in the garden in peace. We were told by Sykes that the work would be completed before we went on holiday. We feel that we should be compensated for a ruined holiday. Malcolm Smith.

We have had an absolutely amazing week at Seaspray.

The house is homely, clean, and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and the updated kitchen was a nice surprise. The garden is amazing and secure for dogs. I would have like to have been able to padlock the gate shut whilst he was in the garden but that wasn’t a major issue as he wasn’t alone out there. We were so lucky with the weather and to be honest we weren’t at the property very much as we spent our days at the beach. Had the weather been awful we would have been very comfy at the house with Netflix to entertain everyone and a spacious conservatory to allow a bit of breathing space. Withernsea is not Blackpool don’t go there expecting a lot of nightlife and endless entertainment. What Withernsea offers is friendly, welcoming people, relaxing walks along the promenade/beach and good value food and drinks. During the day there are numerous cafes, chip shops, arcades etc but these were mostly closed in the evenings with even the chip shops closing at 8pm. The Boat Shed is a lovely little pub and very dog friendly although it was only open one of the evenings when we visited. The lighthouse was very good value for money at £8 including the dog! He did get a certificate for reaching the top! The kids enjoyed their swim at the local leisure centre very much. Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing break Withernsea is definitely worth a visit!

We had an enjoyable week in this spacious and comfortable house.

The children and the dog loved the large safe garden and it was only a few minutes walk to the beach and promenade. Only one minor complaint, there were only 4 outside chairs for a cottage that sleeps 6. Other than that , a well equipped house that we would recommend.

Lovely stay, beautiful location, the property was ideally situated very clean, just some updating needed in some areas of the property, but it wouldn't put us off returning.

The house was spotless and beds were comfy also there was a Smart tv , Very quiet area, about 10 minute walk to Prom this takes you into town.

Rosy Leaf cafe is good for coffee etc. There is an Aldi and a Tesco in town.

Thus is a lovely property at the top of a cul de sac so it is very quiet area.

There's a big back secure garden that is safe for children and dogs. You can here the sea. Inside the property we entered through a large conservatory at the back. The kitchen had recently been updated and very modern and well equipped. There was a nice dining to sit and eat at. There was a downstairs bathroom downstairs double bedroom. Lounge with large TV. Upstairs a twin room and double with ensuite at the back had sea views. Good for checking the tide. Plenty of parking. There was a short walk to cliff top and steps that led down to a dog friendly beach. Our dog had fun. Just be mindful of the tides if you walk south as there aren't many ways off this beach! If you walk northwards towards Withernsea there's wave breakers but steps round them or you can walk along the promenade above. It's 1.1 km to the towers which are in the centre of the resort The town has few pubs, shops and cafes. Unfortunately it was out of season and we were still under restrictions of lockdown so it was takeaways. There's a few fish and chip shops. There's Tesco about 5 mins from property and aldi in town. Other shops too. There's a museum at the lighthouse. We went to Hornsea which is about 15 miles up the coast. We also drove down the coast to Kilnsea and spurn point. The nature reserve and wetlands are obviously not dog friendly and the beach at kilnsea was closed due to coastal erosion. That was a bit disappointing. We found in a nice beer garden in Patrington. The village had coffee shop and impressive church. It was lovely weather so we didn't venture to Hedon or Beverley. We had a lovely relaxing break plenty of fresh air and exercise.

The property is located in a cul de sac right near the sea, the property is light and bright with a lovely conservatory.

There's plenty of secure parking for at least 3/4 cars to the side of the property. It's only a 10 min walk to the local supermarket and 15 mins to local pub, even though there is a pub 2 min away but is located on a caravan park.

All facilities..conservatory was lovely , and we saw numerous wild life from the garden. lots of hot water for long soaks Not far from the beach .. we really enjoyed our stay

The house is lovely and within walking distance of the beach which is a bonus. Withernsea was quite quiet this year but we had a good time.

.. 5min walk from the property to the sea front ,nice walk ,local amenities within walking distance great if u just want to relax doesnt have all the arcades like most seaside places.. beach is clean need to check on tide times as most days it was stil quiet a way in. would visit again an stay in the same property as it had all we needed for the week an a big enclosed garden so the dog couldnt get out..

Was concerned about work on the sea defences being noisy bit.

fortunately it wasn't. However we should have been informed earlier about the work. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. first time to Withernsea was very surprised to find it a lovely place. Will definitely go back

When we arrived at Seaspray we were informed that work was going on on the beach and that there may be noise, what became apparent that the noise started at 04.

00 in the morning we had diggers and dumper trucks 5 yards from the garden fence starting their engines and reversing away from the fence this also went on late into the night it became that bad my wife and I decided to come home. early. This was not a relaxing holiday that was required by yourself. If we had been informed this work as going on we would have cancelled our holiday

As soon as we walked into Seaspray you felt at home straight away.

We had a very pleasant stay there and we would strongly recommend Seaspray to our friends and family.

Met the owners on arrival as we were a little early, lovely couple, told us all the good places to go, incl the Duck & Rabbit on the campsite over the back.

couldn't believe my luck, sat night, 80's night, my era, loved it. House very spacious, exceptionally clean, spent a lot of time in the conservatory playing board games, endless glasses of wine, listening to the sea. Kitchen a bit rickety but does the job. Everyone friendly, town clean, all dog friendly pubs, best one was the old boatshed. Good local Chinese. Spread Eagle pub, good cheap food an you get loads. Sunshine cafe dogs allowed in and they get a free sausage, who can say no to that!. Tide doesn't stay out very long, 12:30-14:30 and it comes in quick apparently. Very steep steps, about 40 steps, down to beach, but its worth it, good clean beach. As soon as I got back home I've booked again for next year., because if my husband says he loved it that much he wants to go back, then that's what he gets. Thank you

Seaspray cottage is exceptional.

The owner thought of everything and it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all the utilities, needed and the bedrooms were clean ,comfortable and had everything for your comfort. One bedroom had sea views. This cottage ticked every box.You do have to consider there are no nearby shops but there is a bus service and only a short car drive. There is the Duck and Rabbit close by for games and drinks. This is in a holiday home area.

Only downside might be the proximity of the holiday park This didn't detract in any way during our stay but might do so in the summer.

A fantastic property more like a home very clean well equipped a real treat.

Booked many holidays with Sykes and I can safely say this bungalow was more than a normal cottage you would rent for your holiday.

It was a home! It was absolutely beautiful. Had all mod cons with the added bonus of having a huge conservatory and the garden overlooking the sea. The village has lots and lots of shops, including Tesco and Aldi and is about a 15 min walk away, as is the beach. I would definitely book this again. Susan, the owner, was very friendly and you knew straight away that if there were any problems, which there weren’t, they would be sorted out immediately. Great holiday.

This was a really comfortable home Theyhad provided everything we could possibly want even Christmas decorations tablecloth and serviettes The large garden was perfect for the dog no worries about him getting out and the box full of doggy things was most welcome.

The cottage was lovely and situated in a quiet cul de sac.

The back garden was secure for my two small dogs. The area was lovely and the neighbours were really friendly, one of which helped us find the key safe which was not where stated in the email. Everything available to make the stay comfortable, a right home from home. Withernsea was a lovely place and there is plenty activities to fill in your days.The owner had taken the time to compile a folder with all information on the local attractions - we found this very helpful and we had a great week away. The booking was also so simple. The owners left a welcome pack (including a lovely bottle of wine, chilling in the fridge) they also called in to introduce themselves and to highlight they were available at any point if anything else was required - lovely couple.
