  • "We were really excited about this stay, i shall start with the positives but ultimately we were disappointed with the property and would not book again."

The house was nice and warm when we walked in on what was a very cold and rainy evening, the house was clean and tidy with good facilities in the kitchen and the kiddos were happy with the games room. For the first night and first full day we had no Internet, we tried several times to connect and had to restart the hub several times - by day 2 we had Internet. The wood burner was out of use which was really disappointing as we had bought supplies and planned on using this throughout our stay. The tv remote didn't work, of course we moved batteries around and even bought new ones but in the end the only option we had was to stream and cast from our phones. I emailed the night we arrived and again the next day, I also used the app, by the time I received a response it was very "oh, sorry, the Internet should be fine, the remote works and yeah sorry the wood burner is out of order" it might sound like I'm being picky but this was not a cheap stay and I dont think I'm be unreasonable to assume the basics/listed amenities would be in place. The house is beautiful and nicely fitted out although needs some repair and maintenance, the sofas in the living room were really uncomfortable and if you're bigger than a small child, expect to have a limited shower. We had a lovely week, Wales is utterly beautiful, but the house wasn't as we had hoped for the money spent and the responses received when we did reach out with a few simply struggles were unhelpful at best.

  • "The accommodation was as listed and was clean and comfortable, comfy beds and plenty of towels!"

Kitchen was stocked well with pots and pans and milk/butter/tea etc provided which was a huge help after a long journey and arriving after the shops were shut! No garden but plenty of space to toilet the dogs and a short walk down to Dolgellau and the Mawddach trail. House was easy to get to and a good location. We found it hard to connect to WiFi but did have signal for 4G so not a big problem however, this did mean the tv didn’t work which would of been useful for a tired child some nights! Overall a lovely cottage and we will be back. Thank you!
