Lower Pentre

The owners have created a wonderful property with everything you need for a relaxing time away, whether it be a family holiday or a weekend break away with friends .

House was very clean and the lovely large hot tub and log burner were both very appreciated. Hot tub was lovely and warm on arrival and ready for us to use, and with a glass of wine in hand, and the views of the hills, made for a perfect first evening and every evening thereafter. The spectacular views out from the back of the property were on another level and so calming. We loved the sheep wandering about and early morning wake up calls. This is away from the main town, about a 20 minute drive to Llandrindod Wells so a car is needed, but this is the charm of the place, you can completely down tools and recharge. Welcome pack on arrival very appreciated and another great aspect that the owners have thought about. A great base to visit mid Wales and appreciate the surrounding areas. We can't wait to visit again and will definitely stay here in the future. Thanks for a lovely introduction to Wales. The first of many.

Wow.

We have just had the most amazing family holiday at this perfect place. Lower Pentre is the epitome of a cosy cottage surrounded by beautiful scenery, clear skies filled with stars and peace and quiet. The hot tub was fabulous, the log fire cosy but the whole cottage was warm and inviting. Well provisioned, the kitchen has everything you need for your stay and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Family games, a smart TV and super fast internet connection make this a brilliant place to relax and spend time together. Julie and Gareth are so friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed Gareth showing us round the farm - fantastic insight into farming that we found really interesting. We were also really grateful for him clearing the roads this morning with the snow. We absolutely can’t wait to go back!

We had an amazing stay.

The cottage had the best views loved just being able to relax and switch off. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with every little thing you could possibly need. The WiFi did go off while we was there but we still had an unbelievable time. We would definitely go again.

he home itself was beautiful and the location was perfect so peaceful and exactly what we wanted, all the amenities that you want and need.

The cleanliness of the home could have been much better, the previous guests had had some sort of celebration and there was still evidence of discarded balloons and confetti all over the home, we had to get the hot tub checked as we found the water to be cloudy and quite smelly this meant we didn’t use it as much as we would have liked, the owners did come and put more chlorine in and offered to empty the hot tub for us. Whilst i understand the home is on a farm the amount of cobwebs when we arrived were everywhere a quick brush of the ceilings on change over would quickly sort these out and possibly eliminate the amount of spiders. The cooker in my opinion needs looking at it took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to cook some oven chips there were no real clear instructions for the cooker so we had to google them and even though we were using the correct settings it was still operating poorly, the extraction fan when switched on sounded like I was on the runway of an airport so again I think that needs replacing or looked at. Whilst we don’t expect perfection these small things would have actually made the home perfect. The home is a beautiful home in the most picturesque setting and these little tweaks would definitely have made our stay perfect. Would I recommend and stay again yes absolutely.

The cottage was lovely, set in peaceful surrounds, it had all the amenities one needed for a great staff.

Julie and Gareth have done a great job, and couldn't help more when we had the power outages after an exciting 4hr long thunder and lightning storm. I would recommend lower pentre to anyone. I will most certainly be back.

The property is in the most beautiful place surrounded by wildlife and amazing views.

It's well equipped and everything is provided. We had use of a hot tub and access to small garden which is surrounded by fields and woodland which the children explored freely, even after dark the night sky became a regular interest lots of shooting stars and a barn owl quite at home sitting on the fence it's been amazing and just what was needed 5 star

! We traveled from Cheshire and absolutely loved every single minute of our commute and our break - we saw the most beautiful scenery, the best sunset and the biggest moon from a clear starry sky. The timing of our stay meant we were surrounded by gorgeous lambs too! The house is beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay, it’s so well equipped and the owners Julie and Gareth are wonderful. Our children spent a ridiculous amount of time in the hot tub - such an addition to the property! Thank you so much for a perfect pre-Easter break - we loved it x

Beautiful location, well maintained and pleasant owners! Would highly recommend and would love to return. We’ve previously stayed in another of their properties, Pentre Fawr, and would say the same about that.

Lower pentre was a lovely cottage in the most beautiful location.

We went for a hen party and every single one of us left feeling relaxed and wholesome. The cottage had everything you would need even providing dishwasher tablets, laundry pods, towels, and a lovely welcome pack with milk, eggs and lemonade. Every room was spacious and well thought out. We will be booking again as it ws just perfect!

This is a beautiful cottage with really amazing views.

Having staying there for nearly a week we done alot of hiking and the owners left us be but knew they be there if we needed them. The only downsides are the double bed being uncomfortable and the flies that constantly come in.

Absolutely gorgeous property in a fantastic location.

Calm and peaceful- everything you could dream of for the perfect family holiday. Nearby stream, fields, sheep and even a railway line at the bottom of the fields- all kept the kids busy for hours- we didnt need to go anywhere else. The cottage is fully stocked and the owners so pleased to help and easygoing. Would definitely recommend:)

Really lovely cottage, if what your looking for is a relaxing setting away from all the madness and noise this is the place.

Plenty of space for the kids to run around playing and days out a short drive away. Would highley recommend and the owners are lovely and couldn't have done more for us to make our stay special.

We had great long weekend at this property, best place if you want to escape the crowd with your family or friends, all equipment it’s provided for you to have great and relaxing time, strongly recommend.

The house was perfect.

Extremely clean and had everything we needed. Friendly owners. Gorgeous views and visiting in spring meant we could see the lambs which was lovely. Bonus with a hot tub, a real fire, and secure garden for children. The added extras like books and games was great and the welcome package too. Beds were comfy and decor modern. The WiFi was great for older kids. Perfect for a quiet much needed break. We will visit again I’m sure.

Beautiful cottage & location.

Well equipped & the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Already booked again for next year. The owners were really helpful both before we arrived and while we were there. The only minor thing to mention is there were a lot of flies in the master bedroom.

We had a great week in this beautiful area despite some pretty awful February weather! Would highly recommend and will hopefully return one day.

A beautiful home in lovely surroundings which was well equipped and, on the whole, comfortable.

We struggled with six adults and one bathroom, especially with the water pressure, and didn’t find the corner sofas particularly comfortable if all six were seated but apart from that a great property. It was so peaceful and a great place from which to explore the Elan Valley area.

Enjoyed our stay, nice sofas and decent tv and WiFi were a refreshing change.

My only 2 gripes were 1] directions,,,took long time to find the cottage once off the main road as both postcodes were different between that provided by owner and one by Sykes, owner had to come out to guide us in,,,2) the place was FULL of flies, wasps moths etc which took 3 days to clear, they were left open due to COVID restrictions but it took the edge off a lovely break,

We absolutely loved this place and would definitely recommend an even visit again, lots of room and cosy at the same time, the view from the bed is stunning also

We had a relaxing and peaceful stay here, the cottage was beautiful, clean and cosy.

The view each morning was stunning and the pictures do not do it justice. Would recommend the cottage to family and friends and can't wait to visit again. The perfect getaway and didn't want to come back to reality.

Enjoyed every minute of the holiday.

The house exceeded our expectations. Very modern but in keeping with a farm/cottage feel. The surroundings are breath taking and situated in a very rural location. We enjoyed the privacy it offered and peace. Our three young children loved it and the freedom it offered. The hot tub was a big hit for all! The house was well equipped, from having cling film, kitchen towel to salt and pepper in the kitchen! Plenty of dishes and utensils....well thought out. Stunning attractions near by and I would highly recommend the Elan Valley as a must. The town of Llandrindod is also lovely with a great park and lake. Loads of places to explore and have picnics. We will most definitely be back and may persuade friends to join as it's possible to book all 3 properties together. Fantastic holiday, thank you/ Diolch

Idyllic paradise!

! 10/10 stay. The hosts were exceptional,nothing to much trouble and easy to contact. The cottage is very well thought out,with everything you need. Its cosy and homely inside.The views are incredible. I will miss waking up to the views. The hot tub is a added bit of luxury. As a family it was perfect. Thank you, Sam

Everything was perfect!

We loved the place, it was so cozy and comfortable. They had put the Christmas tree and decorations up as well, which made our time over there even more Christmasy. The log burner and hot tub were just splendid. Overall, this is the best cottage to stay in Wales. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back there again.

This cottage is a little Gem.

It has everything you could possible want ( and more) it was warm and very welcoming and we straight away felt at home. There are amazing views to enjoy from every aspect of the property and the hot tub was a great bonus for some evening star gazing. We would definitely love to return
